So guys last month/year I created this thread above to pour out my pain and seek for help on the infection i was battling and some generous nairalanders were able to give me advice me on what to do.

I'm here to thank you guys cus the painful headache has stopped due to me eating raw garlic, ginger, and drinking warm water with prayers... My mom even started cooking with ginger and garlic. Damn now I can sleep comfortably... I hope to recover fully as I am just getting small Sparks on the sides of my head but it noting serious. To God be the glory.

Either you use antibiotics or you leave it, it will go away on its own after 2-3 weeks.

Don't take more than two garlics a day. Also chop it up and leave it exposed for 8 to 10 minutes , before taking it preferable with a spoon of raw honey. Chase down with water to reducing burning in the stomach.

Yes, suffered for over 20yrs until I turn vit c to my daily food to boost my immune system. Use loratadine/Piriton once in a while

It not yellow... But it more of watery(Catarrh) discharge and it smells bad

Ehyaa l'm currently battling the same issue so l can feel your pains...you just feel like going crazy sometimes...avoid anything cold...shower with hot water and use cortisteriods, esp Dexamethasone (Dexa). Also take Amoxicillin (Antibiotic), all these surely helps. But be rest assured that the chronic condition can last for more than 3 months...mine has lasted for almost five months now.

Five months?? Damn.... How are you managing the extreme forehead pain

Actually, I can't remember. I know I did face abi nose X-ray, and the result was fine...
I can also remember that I didn't take any injection, just some tabs, antibiotics or so.

my advice is, whether you are taking normal cold medicine, just stick with drinking hot water, pain relief, and massaging your face with warm water always, especially the bones around your eye, nose area.

I have had it before and as some people have mentioned , take warm water ginger/garlic. Steaming helps a lot too. Anything to drain it and don't force it by blowing your nose ,it will aggravate the pain.
Running/ jogging helped me a lot.
And the most important thing for me then was I was able to identify the triggers/allergens and staying away from them. It's been more than 2years since I last had it. Sorry ehn

Do not self medicate especially with antibiotics.
It might be from a serious allergy also.

Check with another doctor and let him know your history with the 1st doctor and what you were prescribed to take for it.

Ask to know if a blood test or mucus test can reveal the exact bacteria causing your sinusitis, so you can be prescribed drugs that is most effective in killing the bacteria.

A humidifier should help loosen your sinuses although you should ask your doctor if a humidifier would be beneficial in your situation or not necessary. Humidifiers are not so expensive, you can get one for as little as 5k.
Also vinegar sprayed in the air helps kill germs in the air.

Ask if a combination of antibiotics therapy is better than using just one to fight the infection.

Pound and boil a mixture of Ginger, garlic and cloves and take with some honey at least twice a day. Ask your doctor to know if it'll interact with any meds you're taking/gonna be taking. It shouldn't bt just to be on the safe side.

Try to do this and by God's grace you're gonna be fine, I know herbal meds work too bt you need to start with western meds for a faster relief.

Update us here about your progress and what works for you so others can learn from your experience too.

Thank you so much sir... But this is the first time I'm experiencing this. I don't think it an allergy cus 2 to 3 days before it started I was having cold and Catarrh which mistook malaria. The doctor told me the infection was triggered by the catarrh

Take these tips, it helped me


While taking your medication, have warm water in a bowl and a clean hand towel. Use the towel to gently massage your face, especially the bones of nose area, intermittently throughout the day.

Drink Warm Water even though you might be tempted to drink cold water, try to stick with warm water.
Mask Up, the environment is hazy and dusty

Lastly, don't worry too much about it being chronic. My doctor explained that if I had sought treatment earlier, it could have been resolved within days. Even without treatment, sinusitis can self-heal, although it takes longer.

Plug two big bulb of garlic in your nostril for 30mins. Ensure its big enough and doesn’t go in . Just make it fit the the entrance of your nostril

It sinusitis/Sinus infection. A Google search would help you understand the infection. It been over three plus weeks now I've been battling this infection.

The first time it started over three weeks ago my mom rushed me to a healthcare centre and that where I was told I've frontal sinusitis. My head seems as it it wants to explode... The pain is out of this world, it feels as if something is breathing in my forehead that is causing extreme pain. I was given antibiotic injection for three days and some drugs..... The drugs just relief me of the pain for some hours then it starts again.

So as the doctor told me and with my research, this infection is chronic (long term) and it been taking a big part of my life. I'm just 20 and I don't know my this is happening to me ... I've been living on pain relief/anti-inflammatory drugs for the past three weeks now .. I'm confused I don't know what to do.

It 2Am now and I can't even sleep😢😢😢😢the pain

That's how it's supposed to be. The more consistent U are the more reps U can push further. Don't listen to anyone telling to start with 50 or hundred cos U will hurt Ur muscles and gain no muscle mass, sore, lose strength and endurance. Start small and Ur body will naturally demand more when it's getting what it needs to pump up. Consume lots of protein too. To get there faster U can do the sessions morning and night and always have rest days to allow Ur muscles grow from the tear which expands it.

As for beards. Forget am. It will come naturally when it will and if not, U don't need it. Nothing special about it

Either you're naturally thin, or you just need to train. Wiz Khalifa was bony, and it only took a year for him to get this body (see pic below). He achieved this through weightlifting for an hour a day and thai boxing training.

If you're naturally thin, you won't really fill out (naturally) until like 30. And if you train in a certain way, you may be skinny for longer than that. But don't start taking supplements or anything like that because you'll only damage your body.

There are things you can do though if you're naturally thin. Try to make your back and shoulders a bit bigger. Basic movements help here:

Pullups
Dips
Pushups
Swimming (don't do too much or you'll lose size)

Also, maybe you can't get that much size up top, but you may be able to develop your legs more, which will fill you out and make you look fitter. Basic movements help here too:

Lunges
Squats
Jumping movements (these can be dangerous, do your research, and be careful)

Also, you can still do some weight training even if you can't afford a gym. Buy adjustable dumbbells.

If you can't afford them, you can make some out of cement, sand, car parts, rope, tires, and other scrap. But be careful. Make sure things are secure and you're not at risk of injuring yourself. Also, make sure you're not doing too much, too soon.

Some basic movements for dumbbells:
bench press
curls
reverse curls
row
squat
lunge
fly
raises
overhead press
deadlift

Whey protein powder is a safe supplement, but make sure it's just protein and doesn't have anything suspect in it.
