Hmmmm.... Alhaji Aliko Dangote is set to employ young Nigerian enigineers fresh from grad scholl into his new company almost completed. Yes, his refinery. According to Vanguard newspaper, he would recruit 8,000 engineers and provide job opportunities for 85,000 Nigerians in ma whole. Omo that's huge.
The report states:
The President of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, said about 8,000 engineers would be needed for the smooth take off of the nine- billion- dollar Dangote Refinery/Fertiliser plant in Ondo.
Dangote told State House correspondents on Wednesday in Abuja that the project, when completed, would provide direct and indirect jobs for 85,000 Nigerians.He said the group had secured a 3.3 billion-dollar credit facility from a consortium of banks for the project.According to him, importation of petroleum products will end by 2016 as the plant will commence production in the next three years.

Sean Kingston and his bodyguard gang raped a drunk teenager in the singer's hotel room back in 2010, according to a new lawsuit -- but Sean says it's B.S.

Carissa Capeloto -- now 22 -- claims she was forced to have sex with Sean, his bodyguard and a member of Sean's band at a Seattle hotel in July, 2010, after she had smoked pot and downed 7-10 shots of vodka.

Capeloto -- who has sued all 3 men -- alleges she'd been invited to Kingston's hotel room for a meet-and-greet following a Bieber concert -- where Kingston had also performed -- but when she showed up ... Kingston was waiting naked on his bed.

Capeloto claims the bodyguard picked her up and placed her on top of Kingston, and all three of the men proceeded to gang rape her while she was "obviously intoxicated, incapable of consent."

I saw this on a site and i was like, Lord have Mercy. After reading this, you should thank Gpd for your life.

This 14-year-old boy, Ali Hussain, has been left with the body of a 110-year-old in India because he has a rare disease which makes him age eight times faster than normal.
He has seen five of his siblings- two of his brothers and three of his sisters, die from the same condition called Progeria which is known to affect just 80 people worldwide.
Sufferers are not expected to live much beyond the age of 14.
Life was made unbearable for him and his late siblings because of their disease, they were mocked in school and called names like ‘big-eyed boy’ and ‘Patlu’ meaning skinny.
Eventually they all stopped going to school.
But despite the grim prognosis Ali has refused to give up hope. Ali says:

‘I very much want to live and I hope there is medicine for my condition out there. I’m not scared of death but my parents have suffered a lot. I’d love to live much longer for them. I don’t want to burden them with any more pain..
We had each other (his siblings) but that was it. We had no life. When we did go to school we were pushed and shoved, called names, kids tried to harm us. We can’t do much physically either; our lungs are so small we get breathless easily.
I would love to be a normal person who can play, go to school, do some sports, take some risks. Sometimes I get depressed but most of the time I make the most of the life I have.’

he young boy above wanted to leave our dear country by all means but luck was not on his side or should i say he was not so knowledgible about Nigerian airways that he got on a local flight instead of an international flight. According to Punch:

THE teenage stowaway, Daniel Ihekina, who was arrested at the Lagos Airport after flying in the tyre hole of an Arik plane from Benin to Lagos on Saturday morning, thought he was on a US-bound flight.
A source at the Benin Airport who disclosed this said the boy’s parents had already departed for Lagos in search of the stowaway.
The airport source, who did not want his name in print said, “From what we heard, the boy said he was being maltreated and tried to escape from his parents. He thought he was on his way to the US.
“The parents have travelled to Lagos by road, to get him back.”
Meanwhile, investigations conducted by one of our correspondents in Lagos revealed that the boy had been handed over to the operatives of the State Security Services for further investigation.
The General Manager, Corporate Communications, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Mr. Yakubu Dati, who also confirmed the development, said the aviation security personnel of the agency had handed over the young voyager to the men of the SSS for extensive investigation.
Dati said, “The residential address the boy gave to us was traced to a church in Benin by our airport manager and his team. So, there is need to hand over the teenager to the SSS who are experts in such investigations. They will carry out further investigation on the matter.”

Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has said that unless the Federal Government changes its tactics and do the right thing, universities in the country will remain shut “as long as they continue with the deception.”
ASUU President, Dr. Nasir Isa Fagge, reacting to the directive by the Federal Government that the striking lecturers should return to classrooms, said such order should not be taken seriously.
He told Nigerian Tribune on telephone in Abuja on Sunday that the union has had enough of such “deception from IBB, to Abacha, Obasanjo and now President Goodluck Jonathan.”
Fagge insisted that the Federal Government had an agreement with ASUU in 2009 and that it was that agreement the union is asking the government to implement.
He said: “I think when two people sit down and talk, they should be bound by the agreement. Let government change its tactics and do the right thing, then we will return to work.”
Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim had on Friday last week while addressing the Chairmen of Governing Councils and Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities directed ASUU to return to work while pending issues are being resolved.

The Joint Task Force, JTF, implementing the state of emergency imposed on Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states, has arrested a medical doctor (names with-held) in Borno State, who is the medical consultant to the terrorist group. He is at the same time a consultant with the World Health Organization (WHO).
Vanguard gathered from reliable security sources that the arrest of the medical doctor followed a tip-off that the terrorists had a well organized mobile medical facility with which wounded insurgents are treated. “In fact, what gave him out was his suit case containing sophisticated medical equipment with which he provided diagnostic services to the terrorists”, the source said.The international connection of the medical doctor was, however, brought to the fore when suddenly, the international human rights watch dog, Amnesty International, sent its officials to investigate the circumstances surrounding the arrest of the supposedly WHO consultant.
Disclosing how the doctor was arrested, the source said: “A truck suspected to be carrying insurgents and IEDS as well as other dangerous weapons was stopped at a check point but it sped off. Unknown to the truck’s driver and other occupants of the truck, there was another checkpoint which had been alerted of their coming. When the truck got to that checkpoint, the security operatives fired at it while the occupants ran into the bush.

Weeks after an impostor who claimed to be the talented singer, Ayo Balogun popularly known as Wizkid defrauded students of the University of Lagos (Unilag) of the sum of N500,000,00 as full payment for a show tagged “ Concert for Life”, the ugly incident has repeated itself.

This time around, the victims are not Unilag students, but an Owerri,Imo State-based businessman, Chief Chukwudi Ofoha. He is the CEO of Ibari Ogwa, a popular hangout located in the World Bank area of Owerri.


Showtime gathered that the impostor who claimed to be Wizkid was contracted by one Mr. Ugochukwu Favour Mayor on behalf of Chief Ofoha for a show at the hangout. The impostor is said to have charged the latter the sum of N1million. And in sealing the deal, an advance payment of N300,000,00 was allegedly paid into the impostor’s UBA account.

An insider told Showtime that shortly after the payment was made,the impostor switched off his cell phone, thereby raising the suspicion that he was not the real Wizkid.
