Mr Isaac Ishaya of behind Nasarawa State Deputy Governor's office and beside Bishop House, Shendam Road, Lafia Nasarawa State was on the 23rd day of July 2021 maliciously and violently attacked and murdered Hamidu Isa Ogana, an officer of Nigerian Legion Nasarawa State Command and the police complicity by refusing to arrest and investigate the culprit for possible prosecution.
From the brief i received from witness, the whole incident that led to the malicious attack and gruesome murder of Hamidu Isa Ogana of the Nigerian Legion on 23rd July, 2021 in the house of Isaac Ishaya of behind Nasarawa State Deputy Governor's office in Lafia at 4pm started on 16th July, 2021 at the gate of You-Nik Nursery Academy, Jos Road, Lafia Nasarawa State when the wife of Isaac Ishaya went for school run to pick her daughter that was in Nursery 2 after the school hour.
The altercation ensued when Mrs Charity Isaac Ishaya who was in the habit of obstructing traffic at the school gate used her vehicle to block the school gate by way of deliberate wrong parking. when the security men deployed from the Nigerian Legion to the school and on duty asked her to move her vehicle to the available car parking space to clear way for ease of vehicular movement, his wife Mrs Charity Isaac Ishaya retorted rudely in the presence and chagrin of other parents, insulted and assaulted the school security man from the Nigerian Legion followed with lots of sharp insult on the security which were not responded to from the security but ignored.
The Isaac Ishaya being the husband of the Mrs Charity took what was reported to him by his wife and without recourse to the school management came to the school on a revenge retaliatory mission on 19th July 2021 and gave the security man his daughter identified to him a head butt that led to severe nose bleeding and eventual hospitalizing of the attacked security man (Jubril Mohammed). Mr Isaac Ishaya further openly threatened to follow him to the hospital to kill Jubril Mohammed and can appease the family with at least N30,000,000.00 after the killing.
The arrant misconduct exuded by the Mr and Mrs Isaac Ishaya did not go down well with the school and Nigerian Legion, Nasarawa State Command, hence the school management expelled their child from the school on 23rd July, 2021 while the Nigerian Legion went to court on a direct criminal complaint to file a case of criminal intimidation, Assault, Causing grievous hurt and threat to life before Chief Magistrate Court 3, Lafia. The court requested that the residential area of the defendant be traced for the criminal writ of summons to be served on him, which prompted two men of the Nigerian Legion including the late Hamidu Isa Ogana that was killed to trace him to behind the deputy Governor's office at Shendam Road; wherein upon sighting the men of the Nigerian Legion attacked and killed Hamidu Isa Ogana and inflicted severe machete cut on Moses Adasu that ran into the scene on distress call in the presence of other men of the Nigerian Legion that went there.
The men of Nigerian Legion ran and reported the case to the police but the police refused to intervene abd rather quickly branded the slain officer of the Nigerian Legion as an armed robber and ignored the need to investigate the crime committed. The police began to intimidate the men of the Nigerian Legion by arresting detaining members of the Legion at 'C' Division of Nigerian Police at Project Quarters, Lafia and further refused to avail the injured man of the Legion medical treatment. The police released the killed officer of the Nigerian Legion to be buried hurriedly to close the case of crime involved.
The 2 detained men of the Nigerian Legion were transfered to the state CIID after a week of intense petitions by the Nigerian Legion. At the state CIID in lafia, these men were detained for another 1week. now, we are seeking for justice. Mr Isaac Ishaya is still in his house without been charge to court.
