Well done guys... With what an seeing now I can confidently say that there is hope for this nation.

Lucky nation is the one who has at least one great progressive revolutionary man in its history... Mehmet Murat ildan
. And we have many today. Thank you all.

I must reassure all at this point that this struggle was born out of a sense of duty for generations yet unborn. I really don't know what better gift to leave my unborn kids than a working Nigeria.

I have thought about possible ways that could bring division among us. And it's better we address them now and reach a consensus.

Finance: I suggested it should be under the control of Nigerians in diaspora part of the struggle.

Representation: If it comes to the time to dialogue with government, I suggest none of the popular faces around here including myself should be given such a mandate. My dream is that we have a united body that when a random team is nominated to represent us, we can be rest assured that they will keep to the mission and vision of the movement.

Moving forward, faaiz4ever suggested we have another set of people research on social media handles with a similar purpose and list them out to enable us reach out to them. I honestly feel its a sound strategy.

Please can we have the following comrades help us with that task:

Thoniameek, Dmanj, Oyimeoyimemua, Nulasco,

Nafizzey and dollyjuke.

Good thought!, was thinking in the same line bro @ representatives to government. We will not have a permanent team for it, we need millions of people on board when we have that the whole house will appoint those to represent us. They must come back with a report (text or audio of the meeting) definitely and they must be informed some different set of people are going next which they don't even know. We can choose people via secret balloting we can create a program that will run through all members, select some few with exception of those that have been selected for the purpose before. So other members could be presented with nominees A, B, C, D and so on then we start voting so you don't even know who you are voting for or whether you are voting for yourself, I have not really perfected the idea and identified loopholes or demerit but I knw something like this can work when we get to that bridge. About finances, I don't have any suggestions yet because I don't want us to make mistakes we need a perfect policy on it that should be formed by all the members. And please as I have mentioned earlier. If any member is spending on behalf of this organization we should be recording it and someone should be in charge of our spendings, we will need this later in future. Thanks.

Formation and agitation for this kind of group always pop up but hardly see the light of the day. If you doubt me, ask Ehixking...the dude that started National Association of Unemployed Graduates (NAUG). That dude and few others attempted to scratch the ground during the initial formation stage of the pressure group and by the time they were given a penny in form of empowerment in Agriculture, ask them where the group is today...died a natural death.

Op, i guess this is just another selfish move. Continue!!!

Its funny this is coming from a literate, I don't even know what to say to you am angry someone can come to derail good efforts of others in a sensitive matter like this but since you have raised it, good! Now lemme inform you, I don't know about the future but right now the founders of this initiative are not hungry fools and we have an objective that is shared by most of us. We are going to lay a very good example for the coming generations, what we are trying to create here is a revolution, a proof that things can be done and achieved properly even in the face of corruption, I urge you to follow us as the events unfold, we are going to create a new system of administration that can be adopted even by the government. A system where every member is the leader and everyone has a share in the decision making process, a system of adequate and effective checks and balances, we are not unintelligent people, we put our trust in God and hope to make an impact. Thanks

Good progress. Now we have content management team. Pls some other people should work on gathering list of other twitter handles and facebook addresses of other related youths' groups. We need to merge together and form a big body. Please let's quickly work on the contents for the website and our social media platforms too as that is why nothing has since been uploaded there.
Thanks

Yes I can do it for you cheaply.

Please, I need to build a mobile app that is capable of mining out a few information/data from a database of regularly updated numerical entries. The app does some random selections, generate some sets or lists or arrays as the case may be. It then does some intersections and some iterations and countings. And that's all.
It's indeed a very simple programme, an Android application.
Is there anyone inhere who can do this for me at a very minimal price? If there is such, please respond by quoting this message here. I'll then tell you how to contact me.
Thanks.

Am trying to conceive how this whole thing can work, what am proposing is that we create our own e-petition and e-voting system right in the website. Decisions would be strictly by elections and actions would be taken strictly by petitions. Let's say u raise an issue that u want the house to decide on. There will be a place where all the members can vote for either support or against it . Let's say someone has an idea to change in government. Like duration of court cases in judicial arm of government for example. The person will create a petition and gather signatures by posting the link in social media (advertising his cause) once the signature reaches like 1 million this number will be decided by the house through the voting system then we will act on it. We will send the request to the appropriate body if nothing is done then we can threaten them with protests which they know if we mobilize people we can shutdown the whole country. But we must have the significant number before we can achieve that. So all people signing petitions must be members u CNT sign any petition without registering and u can't sign twice. Signatures must be genuine and mean the actual number of people that agreed to the idea. Just like an electronic referendum. So its a continuous business, it's an official way of the Nigerian people saying no to bad policies. And if our request is not granted because of valid reasons the government must explain publicly to the people why they cannot do the request. What do you think about that?

Johnrake69:

Good points you raised here. Let's start doing something towards it. Can you help the house make enquiry about the best platform to use in collecting signature?

Great job! You have done well my friend. Those of us still active on this thread, can we fix a date for a meeting? The zeal is waning and it's really unfortunate.

My brother I don't know what can be done, everyone wants to be rich overnight. So patriotic youths are scarce. What do you think can be done to curb this. There is no way this won't involve money, some of us have started spending already, well whether gifts or donations, how do we trust those that would manage the finances.

byrron:

I don't reside in Nigeria but I am ever ready to assist with logistics if properly organized.

I also have my reservations especially with the myriads of morally bankrupt cash and carry youths back in Nigeria that practically stands for nothing, how do we succeed with such legion of fraudulent minded young ones?

I am donating this old Facebook page Facebook.com/voiceoftheyouths anyone good in social media branding should volunteer to be the admin. There are so many groups already on twitter so I did not create a new one, we need someone to please volunteer to contact all these groups and talk to the admins to join the cause and we choose one for our official handle. We need to merge together to form one big organization. Let's contact everyone with handles similar to "Nigerian youths" to let's come together and form a group. We need people to handle the media. I can handle the website for now till we get other volunteers. Thanks

I appreciate everyone, first of all by Gods grace this organization will not die and we shall achieve all the desires (Amen). We need people with crazy zeal and willpower to keep it going. Many people have contributed and the process has started. I believe we should all start by donating what we know how to do best. Its not about one time protest the idea is let's have a unified voice of the youths. Let's put the youths in a very good position in shaping the future of our country. We are angry but the leaders are not hearing it because we don't know how to communicate it to them. Now is the time to change that. About leaders we are all leaders, I have thought about it before I decided to join that was why I mentioned an e-voting system in place. We all have the final say by voting for whatever decisions to be made. No one will decide for all of us, we do it collectively. That's the point give the power back to the people. We also need rules and regulations. I have a lot to say but I can't just vomit all here am really boiling inside, this country must be great again. The web portal is a great step in showing others the seriousness some of us have and the sacrifice we are willing to make. Please let's come up with ideas that won't kill this.

As I am trying to register a domain name now I came across this

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occupy_Nigeria

Please people should read this before we proceed. We need to be organized. And we need a fresh name, not Occupy Nigeria again. I don't believe in repeating what others have done. We should try and contact the old OccupyNigeria and merge with them with this new idea. They already have platforms to mobilize people in thousands. Just a thought tho!

I don't get, you want them to withdraw your money, cut off your fingers or worst case remove your head first, before figuring there is actually no way to transport it to the ATM without being caught huh??

I think the solution is for ATM machine design to include a fake pin, this pin should give access to limited funds but raise an alarm. The banks could install a trailer horn sef to draw an ever present mob. You have to get to the police to explain why you had to use your 911 pin

I need a patent for this jor
I have thought of a similar scenario. If you are interested let's work together on this (am a solution developer) and we install as plugins to banks after getting trademark or something. There are many ways to make the emergency pin work but we CNT discuss here.
