My ukvi story
This is long story, sorry
So 1st thing I have had uk visitor visa 3x
Travelled about 5 times
Also note is I had 2 previous refusal b4 the visas.

Point to note. I was a student then. My father sponsored me.
So I made an application in May, i applied for vositor visa, although i also wanted to take a professional exams (didn't mention this) i applied weeks after finishing NYSC ( so I filled unemployed, however explained that in), my sister had also felt I didn't have enough cash in my account so she deposited 1 million.
Honestly I didn't taken the application dt seriously I felt my previous immigration history will speak for me.
Lol, I was refused. I was shocked.
So error majorly money lodgement and unemployment.

Heartbroken, I said I won't apply again but some people were of the opinion it best I reapply immediately and attack all issue raised.
I did and had to wait almost 2month to receive another refusal., this was in July. I did make post during and after this application
This time it didn't make sense cos i tackled everything in the previous refusal with evidence
While awaiting the response I took up an employment-:great decision. The employment was  for 6month- contract. Most people get renewal at the end of their contract
I decided I will face my work and apply later this year with the hope that I will be renew.

Come November I received a bombshell, no renewal as they r letting someone go, although temporary(still work there)

So I hurried, applied for my exams, gathered my document
Applied solely for the exams unlike family visit the previous times.

Previous travel details
Exams booking
Previous step exams pass
Husband consent letter, passport page + baby birth certificate
Cover letter stating previous refusal although I didn't dwell on it.
Invitation letter from the uk+ passport page and utility bill
Bank statement 2 savings account
Letter from Employer.
Previous employment and education certificate
Marriage evidence
Shares certificate
Car documents as I didn't have landed property
Tenancy agreement of present accomodation and utility bill( in husband name)

So new timeline
Biometric 13th
Decision made email 9/1

Decision positive.
I thank God

Ikeja is free while VI attract extra charges. I wanted to choose Ikeja but keeps prompting me to choose Prime Time appointment which will cost extra $115. I just want normal appointment

Try a later date, it's possible it's only prime time appointment available on the date you pick. Slot fill up fast.

Sorry, similar thing happened to me, i think its rather strange to say unexplained when it was explained. If they said unsatisfied it will make more sense. That was exactly same statement used for me. At a point i was wondering if they saw all the document.

My wife's visa was refused . The ECO said some unexplained funds were paid into her account. I supported those funds with my property documents as rents paid into my wife account from my tenants , even with rent receipts. I just feel it was a big time mistake applying in the first place

Just want to know, I wasn't given right to appeal. Is there any other way I can make my case. Cos settling in to consider things. I provided the documents they said I didn't and explained the things they said I didn't( they said I didn't explain not that they are not satisfied). The money i had in my account was taking as how much i had for the trip when i clearly filled in 2 separate answer.
I was at work initially by getting home i settles to consider my application again and the refusal and basically i attempted to answer all the question that was in the refusal. If they had said i didnt give the right answer or dont understand i ll understand. They just claimed i did not.
It is as if they didn't go thru documents after 7wks. What an ECO dt attended to me. It was as if I just wasted money cos it wasn't properly considered based on the letter.
Advisory:

Thanks for letting us know, sorry about the empty passport

Picked my Passport. Empty. I don't want pity party sha.
The things in the letter were confusing basically because I had explained what they said o didn't explain and believe I put the evidence they said I didn't but I guess it not my time to travel. I have travelled to uk b4. Had 2years visa in the past (2x sef) but I was single then, now married. Was unemployed at d time of application (just completed nysc), might have counted against me. Employed now sha so I guess I have something for future applications.
I don't want to say they didn't go thru it well cos they had more than enough time. I guess it depends on how the ECO views your application
I may not answer further questions tho. Thanks for understanding.
TatPat:
Hi @Fabfiyin, have you picked up your passport yet?
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by fabfiyin1: 5:00pm On Jul 26, 2017
Got a tls mail today that's it's ready for collection. Since June 6. Yet to collect tho.
xto4:
you should include the GWF as it written e.g GWF123456778
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by fabfiyin1: 6:05am On Jul 26, 2017
I will still wait till out tho for a while longer, kindly let me/us know if you get an update from tls or go pick it up.
inphoenix:

It's beginning to look as if calling might actually spur them to act on your application. However, the site says it'll take up to 10 working days for the decision to reach you. If after that you don't get a response, you might call them again.

Sorry about your travel date passing. Mine has passed too, but I supported my application with a 6week leave starting from my expected travel date, so I'm still able to wait it out.

I reckon you could call or visit TLS, I recall someone posted on this thread that they got a decision update from UKVI and after waiting in vain for TLS to update, they went there and found the passport sitting pretty at their office. undecided

Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by fabfiyin1: 9:20pm On Jul 25, 2017
Mine showed updated since 20th July, no update from tls yet tho. Same 6th of June.
inphoenix:

Hello Xto4 and everyone else caught up in the decision delay. The UKVI website finally recognized my GWF number yesterday and a decision was said to have been updated on July 22nd. The TLS website hasn't been updated to reflect the decision made tho. I submitted at Ikeja on the 6th of June.

I hope y'all's decisions will trickle in this week.

Yes to both
Advisory:

Are you referring to this link?
https://contact-ukvi.homeoffice.gov.uk/app/visa_application/checkvisastatus
and did you use the GWF reference number?
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by fabfiyin1: 2:05pm On Jul 24, 2017

justwise:

Sadly there is nothing you can do rather than wait, i know its frustrating really
xto4:
did mine on the 6th of June that is when I submitted my application too at vi till now no response.... But sent email on the 27th of June that my application remains underconsideration and apologies for the inconvenience that I will hear from them in the coming days. Did u get that email too? This is really bad... My leave is ending this friday.

Same here, applied 6th June, travel date passed already, contacted them last week, was told still under consideration that I should note it can take up to 60 working days. However over the weekend I tracked using the link provided earlier on this thread and it shows decided last Thursday, yet to hear anything official from them tho. Fingers crossed.
