Olumidzti: if our leaders are willing to stop corruption, people will cooperate. If the leaders go to jail for their offences, you think an average Nigerian won't obey the law? How come people who find it difficult to obey rules go abroad and are able to obey rules suddenly? Because they have a law that is functional.

Olumidzti: When you have a mad leg, you don't have a mad man, but when you have a mad head, the whole man is mad. I've never seen a bad leader whose country went forward when he was in government. Have you seen one before op? It is possible that the same country may move forward when a good leader comes in. It is not the citizens that changed but the leader. In most cases, citizens will adapt to the vision of a leader. Didn't Lagosians adapt to Fashola's rules when he came into government?

eyenCalabar: The point is that the system has forced almost everybody to embrace corruption. People just fine means of survival because of how rough/bad the country is hence meddling into corrupt practices: knowingly and unknowingly. Imagine the lingering ASUU strike now and when the school finally resumes, if you were a final year student, wouldn't you do anything just to leave the school before another strike hit you? I think I would do. So if the government put things in place, corruption would reduce atleast outside the government. But sadly, our present government encourages corruption. For me, violent change is the only way out but how many people can support this?

I witnessed corruption when I went with my mum to visit her friend dat works for 1 of these motherless children's home I saw how dese people share donations individual give to take care of dese kids n while d sharing was goin on dey were discussing on how PDP/APC are destroying d country. I almost wept for d children. I told dem dat with d wickedness n hate of Nigerians d devil has finally met his match. I agree with dem wen dey say "dere will be blood shed" in 2015 but its NOT goin to be d innocent but eventually dese criminals will start killing each oda and dere blood will be used to cleanse d land of wickedness n hate.

Do you actually think the average man in the UK or US wants to be incorruptible? Fact is they are as dubious as the man we have in this part of the world else we would not have the controls and control systems we have in that world. Who takes ultimate responsibility for those controls? Leadership!

Leaders drive change and not followers. It took one woman, Mary Slessor, to let some people know that killing of twins is evil and she moved to stop the practice. Those people would have carried on with that practice as normal business if not for Slessor.

That is leadership driving change and making the people see through the lenses of change.

I look through Goodluck Jonathan's lens, what do I see? I see corruption, incompetence and cluenessness. I do not see change and so how can such a leader motivate his people to change?

Change is leadership. It is not a 'bend down' select process where you expect everyone to just start acting right. Leaders must drive change if they are truly leaders.
