Spokesman of Ijaw Youth Council, IYC, worldwide, Mr. Eric Omare, in a statement in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, said that the meeting will also determine the next direction of the Ijaw struggle for self determination and resource control as enshrined in the Kaiama Declaration.

The decision to convene a national congress of all Ijaw youths, he said, was taken at an expanded executive council and consultative meeting comprising founders and former leaders of IYC, National and Zonal Executive Council members and key stakeholders held in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State on Wednesday.
He said: “We call on all Ijaw youths to be alert and ready to heed the call to the service of the Ijaw nation at this crucial time of our history and struggle for survival in the Nigerian state in the face of the grand conspiracy between the North and a section of the South-West to continue to suppress and exploit the resource of the Ijaw nation.”

IYC noted with regret that when President Jonathan, an Ijaw and from the South South won an internationally acclaimed free, fair and credible election in 2011, the North never at any time congratulated or supported President Jonathan.

“Instead they killed hundreds of innocent Nigerians and fought President Jonathan from the day he became the acting President of Nigeria in 2010 until the North conspired with a section of the South West to take over the Presidency from President Jonathan and the minorities of the South-South in an election fraught with irregularities.

The calling feature on WhatsApp launched for Android last month in beta to a small number of users, followed by availability on an invitation-only basis. Now voice calling is available for every WhatsApp user on Android.

The older version of WhatsApp enables the calling feature, but app reviewers have described that it does not work appropriately yet. This means that there is a bit of extra work necessary if you want full access to the calling feature currently. You can download the Android application package (APK) file of WhatsApp version 2.12.5 through the WhatsApp website or an APK Mirror website. Cyanogen gets funding for taking Android from Google
Recently in my Update on how cyanogen plans to take over Google, I highlighted some key strength. Cyanogen are no babies as it seems or used to be, a company that started as a custom ROM builder for Android has received $80 million in funding in order to execute their plan.. Cyanogen has made it clear it will try to free Android from Google, by making it open to all. The funding will aid the firm give that a decent attempt.
Google has secure and firm control over Android by integrating its services into the heart of the OS. Cyanogen doesn't like that and intends to build its forked version that lets users integrate other services as they see fit.

News report : President Goodluck Jonathan has lost to the All Progressive Congress candidate, General Mohammadu Buhari In the final result announced at the two polling units at the Presidential Villa Saturday night, the Peoples Democratic Party candidate lost in his official abode, as he polled a total of 595 votes to General Buhari’s 613 votes. According to Vanguard reports the election which was conducted peacefully saw the All Progressive Congress Senatorial and House of Representatives candidates also defeating the Peoples Democratic Candidates.

PORT HARCOURT— GOVERNOR Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State was trapped, yesterday in Rumuolumeni area of Obio/ Akpor Local Government Area of the state, as suspected political thugs fired live bullets at his convoy. This came as tension heightened in Edo State, over alleged deployment of soldiers to the country home of Governor Adams Oshiomhole, in Iyamoh, Auchi in Etsako West Local Government Area.

In Rivers State, the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr. Dave Iyofor, who confirmed the attack on Amaechi’s convoy, said that the thugs from an opposition party first pelted the governor’s convoy with stones and other objects before they started firing gunshots at him. Iyofor said gunshots were fired at the governor, adding that two members of the APC sustained injuries.
“Gunshots were fired at Governor Amaechi this evening (yesterday) at Rumuolumeni in Obio Akpor council by suspected Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, thugs. Obio Akpor is the council of PDP Rivers governorship candidate, Mr Nyesom Wike. The thugs attacked the governor and his entourage with bottles, stones and various dangerous objects.

Is the SSS now a branch of the PDP and the Presidency?

The Borno State-born pastor, Kallamu Musa-Dikwa, who affirmed the allegation that President Goodluck Jonathan gave the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, N7b to support his re-election bid, has cried out over threats to his life by operatives of the Directorate of State Service (DSS).


While insisting that the Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor-led CAN collected the said amount, Pastor Dikwa said the DSS had forced him to sign a document which they would use against him to prove to the entire world that “the President (Jonathan) did not bribe CAN to work against the presidential candidate of APC”, General Muhammadu Buhari.

Dikwa said the DSS planned to use the ‘document’, which he was made to sign under duress in some national dailies to portray him as telling lies against the body of Christ.

In the words of the Pastor: “They (SSS) forced me to sign and promise to link me up with the CAN President, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, for us to ‘settle’."
