FACTBOYZ Nigeria, is an African country located in West Africa. Nigeria is composed of multiple ethnic groups and cultures and the term Nigerian refers to a citizenship-based civic nationality Nigerians derive from over 250 ethnic groups and languages. Though there are multiple ethnic groups in Nigeria, economic factors result in significant mobility of Nigerians of multiple ethnic and religious backgrounds to reside in territories in Nigeria that are outside their ethnic or religious background, resulting in the intermixing of the various ethnic and religious groups, especially in Nigeria's cities. The English language is the lingua franca of Nigerians About 50 percent of Nigerians are Muslims and the other 50 percent are Christians. Here are ten interesting facts about Nigeria 1. NIGERIANS ARE DEEPLY RELIGIOUS If you think you are in a religious environment, quit that and think again because Nigeria will prove you wrong. Statistics show that about over 97 percent of Nigerians believe in a supreme being. Divided almost equally between Christians and Muslims, about 15 percent others are involved in traditional religion. An average Nigerian never ceases to talk about God as it is attached to everything, cutting across politics, schools, public institutions and the social media cyberspace. A typical Nigerian street can boast of about 10 different churches; all with their own slight differences and peculiar characteristics. It should also be taken into consideration that some of the biggest church congregation in the world are found in the oil rich country. 2. NIGERIANS ARE HAPPY PEOPLE When we talk about happiness this time around, it is definitely not the happiness that comes because of wealth or riches, it is happiness that comes from suffering and hoping for a better tomorrow. Strange right? Studies indicate that Nigerians are very optimistic about the future; and don’t necessarily give in to hopelessness when poverty knocks. The average Nigerian always hopes for a better tomorrow. This truth might not be far-fetched from the fact that most Nigerians really go through a lot of suffering to achieve event the barest minimum of financial success. Hence the popular saying attributed to Nigerians “Suffering and Smiling” 3. NIGERIA IS RICH, CITIZENS ARE POOR Money solves most problems, but in the case of Nigeria, it doesn’t. The oil rich country is filled with natural gas, bitumen, crude oil and a host of untapped mineral resources scattered in different states. Unfortunately, wealth is not evenly distributed in the West African country. Wealth in the country is controlled by few individuals and it is not evenly distributed. Corruption with fangs has eaten deep into the system and political leaders in the country embezzle money running into billions of dollars all stashed in Swiss banks. Former Prime Minister of Britain, David Cameron once described Nigeria with this “If money stolen in Nigeria were stolen in the UK, United Kingdom will cease to exist” About sixty percent of Nigerians are poor, with many earning low meagre salaries and wages. 4. NIGERIAN PASTORS ARE THE RICHEST WORLDWIDE With life becoming increasingly difficult for the average Nigerian, it is no surprise that most Nigerians turn to religion for hope. Quite a good number of churches in Nigeria alone can boast 500,000 committed members. In a list of 10 richest pastors as of 2016, Nigerian pastors took a jaw dropping 5 slots. The first slot occupied by a Nigerian Pastor David Oyedepo, who is worth over a 150million US dollars. 5. TERRORISM STILL DEALS WITH NIGERIA Heard of the 2014 kidnapping of over 200 high school girls by terrorist group Boko Haram? Over the years even till today, Boko Haram, the extremist Islamic terrorist group has killed without mercy over 5000 innocent men, women and children. They target churches and Mosques alike. In their usual fashion of wearing suicide vests, they infilterate places with large number of people and do harm. It is said that the Boko Haram terrorist group get funding from ISIS and some top politicians of the Nigerian government. Other terrorist groups exist in Nigeria, though Boko Haram has the upper hand, because of their ruthlessness in dealing with innocent Nigerians. Today, their activities are very much now curtailed due to the heavy security measures taken to counter them. 6. GETTING A GOOD JOB IS A MIRACLE In a country where getting a Master’s degree doesn’t necessarily guarantee you a good job. A good number of highly qualified graduates in Nigeria, are under employed. For instance, a second class upper Engineering graduate, can end up becoming a primary school teacher. Nigeria being a developing country, infrastructure and necessary equipment needed in some fields of learning and profession are missing. 7. AFRICA’S RICHEST ARE NIGERIANS The richest African man is a Nigerian. Alhaji Aliko Dangote. The richest woman is Folorunsho Alakija. In terms of riches, Nigeria is very much like India, where the rich and poor abound alike. About 15,000 Nigerians are millionaires in dollars. Quite a good number of these are politicians. The rest are business men and celebrities. Aliko Dangote has interests in Cement production, Sugar production and Crude Oil. The billionaire lady Alakija on the other hand, has interest majorly in Crude Oil. 8. BEAUTIFUL LADIES EVERYWHERE! Beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, taking a journey through the states in Nigeria, you will be forced to ask a Nigerian lady out. From the Islam dominated north to the Christian dominated south; beautiful ladies abound and blossom. The melanin beauties never cease to draw attention to themselves when foreigners visit the country. Agbani Darego became the first African and Nigerian won THE MISS WORLD BEAUTY PAGEANT in 2001. Interest in Nigerian ladies lie in the fact that they are submissive and obedient to their spouses The Calabar carnival organized every December in Cross Rivers State will help you appreciate the beauty of Nigerian ladies. 9. JUST ONE NOBEL PRIZE Becoming a Nobel Laureate is not all smooth and easy, and when won, Europeans and Americans have an upper hand. However one Nigerian decided to counter the trend by becoming the first African to win the prestigious prize. Wole Soyinka, a playwright. Achieved the feat in Literature in 1986. Since then till now, no Nigerian has joined the literal genius. We hope to see that change soon. 10. TRIBALISM IS STILL RAMPANT Nigeria has about 250 native languages all under the three major languages Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba. Tribalism fuelled the 1967 Nigerian Civil war. As the challenges Nigeria faces as a country with respect to development and security, the three major tribes in Nigeria Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba, keep pointing fingers at each other; blaming themselves for the challenges including infrastructural development, terrorism, corruption, unemployment Etc. This blame game has subtly hindered the rapid development that Nigeria is entitled to as a rich country. Thanks. https://factboyz..com/2018/10/ten-facts-about-nigeria-that-will.html?m=1

As children, we don’t really think much about the end of our lives. We think mostly about what our parents will cook us for dinner, or what friends we will play with tomorrow, or which show we’ll watch on TV later. We don’t think about death very often, simply because we think we have time. As we grow older, the thought of death may enter our minds, but we still don’t take it seriously because we have plenty of years left here, right? So, we live our lives on the basis of denial. We deny our inevitable fate, and gamble with the idea that we have plenty of time to live our dreams. We all live with the hopes of seeing tomorrow, but we’ve only really got today. We don’t want to scare or depress anyone, but simply awaken you to the idea of following your dreams NOW, so that you won’t have regrets later. Source: 10 COMMON REGRETS PEOPLE HAVE AT THE END OF THEIR LIFE 1. “I WISH I LIVED FOR MYSELF MORE” According to Bronnie Ware, a palliative nurse from Australia, many of her dying patients listed this as their biggest regret. Ware took care of patients in their last three to twelve weeks of life, and heard many stories and confessions from them all. While she said that all of them found peace before their death, listening to their regrets moved her so much that she actually wrote a bestselling novel about it called “The Top 5 Regrets of the Dying.” In the book, she said many of her patients had not honored even half of the dreams they wanted to fulfill, and this caused them to have major regrets before the end of their life. They wanted so badly to knock other things off their bucket list, but they had to die knowing they still had dreams. Don’t die with your dreams still in your heart. Don’t die knowing that you lived for someone else’s dreams and stuffed yours under the rug. Live life the way you want NOW, and don’t wait for anyone’s permission. 2. “I WISH I DIDN’T WORK SO HARD.” Ware said that this regret came in at number two, based on how often she heard people say this. We all work too hard in today’s world, but for what? We all want to reach some goal, some achievement, some number in our bank account. However, what will all this really mean? Sure, we may have security and pride knowing that we can afford certain things or have a specific title, but humans need more than that. We thrive on emotional connection and love, both of which require other people. In the end, you won’t remember how much money you made or how far you got in your career; you’ll remember the people you made connections with, and how they impacted your life. You’ll think about the memories you made and all the laughs you had with those you loved. We have to work to survive, but don’t work so much that you forget to build relationships and a life outside of your job. 3. “I WISH I DIDN’T HOLD BACK MY FEELINGS.” Coming in at third on Ware’s list, the dying patients also regretted holding back their feelings. They wanted to keep the peace and not rock the boat, so they settled for repressing their feelings. However, this leads to a limited and very resentful existence. You will come to resent those you keep feelings from, because you obviously have an issue with them but choose not to voice it. This results in bottled up feelings that can even lead to mental and physical illness. Speak your truth, even if your voice shakes. Even if you lose friends or a relationship, say how you feel. You may lose someone, but no person on this Earth is worth holding back your feelings for. This will only haunt you in the end. 4. “I WISH I STAYED IN TOUCH.” People at the end of their lives also regretted losing touch with friends. They missed their companionship, and wished they had put more effort into keeping in touch. We may take our friends for granted now, but remember, they won’t always be around. If you miss a friend, try to get back in touch with them via Facebook, email, text, or some other form of communication. They probably miss you too, and would love to hear from you sometime. Friends help us get through life, and stick with us through the ups and downs. Life may take you in different directions, but it doesn’t have to alienate you from them. Pick up the phone and chat with them for a bit; you will never regret reaching out. 5. “I WISH I WAS HAPPIER.” We like to think that outside forces control our emotions, but the key to emotional control lies within us. We don’t choose what happens to us, but we can choose how we react to it. Life goes by so fast, so why spend it finding every little thing to complain about? Being happy costs nothing, keeps you healthier, makes life more fulfilling, attracts more positive relationships, and so on. So, unhappiness, then, actually costs MORE in the long run, and can even lead to serious illnesses. Our mental, emotional, and physical health relies on our perception, so if you want to start living a better life now, simply change how you look at things. 6. “I WISH I CARED LESS OF WHAT OTHERS THINK.” Again, why care so much about the opinions of others? Keep in mind that most people probably don’t think about you as much as you’d like to think, so stop worrying so much. Other people have so much going on that they probably don’t fixate on how you live or the decisions you make. Live in your truth, and don’t worry yourself with what others think; that’s their problem. Live authentically, simply, and happily, and do what feels right for you. As long as you feel happy with yourself, nothing else matters. 7. “I WISH I DIDN’T WORRY SO MUCH.” We spend A LOT of our lives worrying. No matter what role you play in this world, whether you’re a mom, student, daughter, son, father, CEO, banker, farmer, janitor, etc, you have something to worry about. However, will you let this worry take over your life? Will you let the heaviness of the burden drag you down? Or, will you release these worries and realize that this world worries far too much? At the end of your life, remember that the unpaid bills and debts, what other people think of you, how much money you have, and everything else we worry about won’t really matter. The fleeting nature of life should cause us to shed our worries immediately, but unfortunately, we don’t feel how quickly life goes by until we wake up one day as a 75 year old. Then, we begin to see how small our worries are. But, why not choose to awaken to this truth NOW? Remember: don’t be a worrier; be a warrior! 8. “I WISH I TOOK BETTER CARE OF MYSELF.” If you don’t have your health, you have nothing, so make sure to look after yourself. After someone else must take care of you due to not taking care of yourself, you pretty much have no freedom left. You have to live with illnesses and ailments that probably could have been prevented simply by taking care of your health. You only have one body, mind, and spirit, so take care of all of them now to ensure that you can enjoy life even in your older years. 9. “I WISH I DIDN’T TAKE LIFE FOR GRANTED.” Many people actually take their life for granted, and don’t appreciate all the little things around them that make up their environment. The bees that pollinate the foods we eat, the plants that provide us with sustenance, the air we breathe that gives us oxygen, the water we drink that keeps us hydrated, the sun that shines down on us and gives us life – we should appreciate all of it. Even if you don’t have much in life, you could at least say your thanks for having the basics that the universe provides you with. Have an attitude of gratitude, and it will come back to you tenfold. 10. “I WISH I LIVED IN THE NOW” More than anything else, it seems most of us have issues with living in the NOW. We reminisce on the past and wish we could bring it back, or we long for a future that hasn’t happened yet. Either way, we live out of alignment with the present, which means that we’re NEVER truly experiencing life. We’re experiencing moments in our memory, or moments in our imagination. We aren’t experiencing the raw moments, the moments unfolding right before our eyes. https://factboyz..com/2018/11/10-common-regrets-people-have-at-end-of.html

MarketWatch. Satanic Temple threatens to sue Netflix Satanic Temple co-founder says show ‘appropriated’ the group’s design of a statue, which was copyrighted The Satanic Temple is threatening legal action against Netflix NFLX, -2.61% for a statue used in “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” the streaming company’s spin on the story of Sabrina the Teenage Witch. The group is taking issue with a statue of the goat deity Baphomet that appears in the series. The statue bears a striking resemblance to the Satanic Temple’s version. Lucien Greaves, co-founder of the Satanic Temple, tweeted that the show “appropriated” the group’s copyrighted design of the statue. "Yes, we are taking legal action regarding #TheChillingAdventuresofSabrinaappropriating our copyrighted monument design to promote their asinine Satanic Panic fiction.— Lucien Greaves (@LucienGreaves) October 29, 2018 “The show decided to use our own central icon, exactly as we designed it, as the central icon for their story’s evil human sacrificing Satanic cult,” he said in a follow-up tweet. He later tweeted a side-by-side comparison of the two statues. Greaves also took issue with how the statue was used in the show, tweeting: “I’m amazed that anybody is confused as to why we would seek legal remedy over Sabrina using our monument. Would they be as understanding of a fictional show that used a real mosque as the HQ of a terrorist cell? A fictional Blood Libel tale implicating real world Jews?” I'm amazed that anybody is confused as to why we would seek legal remedy over Sabrina using our monument. Would they be as understanding of a fictional show that used a real mosque as the HQ of a terrorist cell? A fictional Blood Libel tale implicating real world Jews?— Lucien Greaves (@LucienGreaves) October 29, 2018 In the show, Sabrina (played by Kiernan Shipka, best known to audiences as Sally Draper of “Mad Men”) is a half-witch, half-mortal teenager who needs to decide whether she wants to take the step to become wholly witch by signing “The Book of the Beast.” The problem: Although signing that book would give her powers, it would also tie her to life-long servitude to the “Dark Lord” (also known as the Devil, also known as Satan) and his church, the Church of Night. The Dark Lord is not a benevolent character in the series; he sends his minions to torture and coerce Sabrina into signing the book, and is head of a decidedly patriarchal church organization that is rife with abuse and corruption. He shows up occasionally in the series as a terrifying beast with a goat’s head and hooves, and is represented by the Baphomet statue, which sits in the center of the show’s Academy of the Unseen Arts. Stuart de Haan, legal counsel for the Satanic Temple, released a statement to CNN, further clarifying why the Satanic Temple was threatening legal action. “The reason for this demand is that this particular imagery is unique from any other likeness of Baphomet. It was created by The Satanic Temple to represent its unique interests including empathy, bodily autonomy, and individual liberties,” the statement said. “The way it is portrayed in ‘Sabrina’ is completely antithetical for what the Temple stands for. It was a copyrighted image and permission was never granted or requested by any media outlet. It is undeniable that this imagery was directly taken from The Satanic Temple rather than other source material.” The Satanic Temple is a religious organization that adheres to “principles of individual sovereignty and rejection of tyrannical authority,” according to the Temple’s official website. Members do not actually worship Satan. In fact, the Temple rejects all forms of supernaturalism and faith-based belief. The group sees Satan more as a symbol or “icon for the unbowed will of the unsilenced inquirer,” according to the website. The Temple has been embroiled in other high profile legal battles and controversies, alleging earlier this year that Twitter engaged in religious discrimination when it did not take action against a user who advocated setting fire to the Temple’s headquarters. And in 2016, the group formed the “After School Satan Club” to protest evangelical programs at public schools. Netflix hs been reached for comment and will update this story upon receiving a response. https://factboyz..com/2018/11/satanic-temple-threatens-to-sue-netflix.html?m=1

First Date Conversation Tips How To Make Sparkling Conversation For A Great First Date There are few things more awkward than a first date when conversation stalls. You’ve forgotten your rehearsed topics, she isn’t saying anything, and suddenly you’re staring down the barrel of a 4-minute silence! Luckily, we have some tips for you on how to ignite a great first-date conversation that will leave her wanting more. 1. Ask good questions Asking questions is an essential part of any good first date – but they have to be thoughtful, fun questions. Far too many first dates resemble painful job interviews: “What do you do?” “Do you enjoy that?” “Have you been on this dating app long?” Although these are essential things to know about the other person, don’t fire off these questions in a row! She’ll have to sit there and politely answer each as if she were filling out a form: not exactly the stuff of great chemistry. Instead, try and ask more unusual questions. People love to talk about their hobbies, so go off what you know. Did she have “CrossFit enthusiast” in her online dating bio? Did you meet her at a salsa bar? Ask her questions about how she got into X or Y: her face will light up immediately and she’ll remember how thoughtful you were on the date afterwards. 2. Do ask questions that open into larger topics It’s easy to fall into the trap of playing conversational tennis on first dates. If you ask questions that have one-word answers (“Do you like seafood?” “Do you have any siblings?”) the conversation can feel a little strained and mechanical. Instead of asking dead-end questions and getting stuck in a rut of small talk, ask large questions. These don’t have to be obnoxious (you don’t have to ask her opinion on modern philosophy!) but they do have to stimulate discussion. You: “Have you been here before? Is this the kind of place you normally go to?” Her: “Hmm, not really. My friends and I normally go to karaoke, in these dive-y bars.” You: “Karaoke? I love karaoke. What’s your go-to song?” A healthy, interesting conversation between two people bounces back and forth and covers a variety of topics without ever getting bogged down! Ask questions that aim to get a sense of her as an individual (and what her tastes are) that aren’t hyper-specific. Vague questions give her more room to talk, and that’s something you can both benefit from. 3. Don’t discuss previous relationships “I used to come here with my ex all the time. What about you – when was your last relationship?” This is one of the most terrible conversations you could be locked into. There’s a time and a place to discuss relationship histories, but the first date isn’t it. Focus on the future! If you talk in nostalgic (or angry, or depressed) tones about your ex as you order another drink, it’s going to seem like you’re not over that relationship. “What kind of activities would you like company for?” is a much better question. Ask your date about her future plans -- remember, this is a fresh start for both of you in the dating game, not a time to complain or rehash the past. 4. Don’t tell too many stories to impress Yes, you may have a great story about saving a man’s life in Portugal that you’re dying to tell. You may want to talk about how you acquired such a wealth of expertise on red wine. But remember, this isn’t necessarily the most impressive thing you could do on a date. And in fact, impressing her shouldn’t be the goal at all. Talking too much about where you’ve travelled, or showing off what you’ve learned, is always secondary to how you’re making the other person feel. Pay attention to what they’re saying. Are they comfortable? Are you cutting them off to hold forth? Are you making them feel heard? A good listener is the rarest commodity to find on the dating market, so it’s best to hold back sometimes. (Besides, we can sense it when you’re trying too hard.) She should feel like she can be herself with you: that’s what chemistry is all about. 5. Make good use of an awkward silence So you’ve discussed world politics, early upbringing, your respective careers, and all the Netflix shows you binge-watch. You’ve both fallen silent at the same time, and you’ve completely forgotten your emergency conversation starters. What do you say? Well, this is a great time to pay your date a compliment. She’s probably made a real effort with her hair and outfit: what woman doesn’t want to feel appreciated for it? You don’t have to be corny or over the top. Keep it simple: “I meant to tell you -- you look lovely tonight.” Suddenly, the awkwardness vanishes and is replaced by a more intimate, romantic vibe. Hey, it happens in all the best rom-coms. 6. Don’t get into an intellectual debate One of the most common mistakes men make on dates is confusing abrasiveness for banter. Say she voices a common opinion that you happen to disagree with. Don’t arch your eyebrow and challenge her to prove it! This isn’t a contest of wits, and you’re not a teacher asking her to justify her conclusion. So often, these friendly debates leave women feeling exhausted. (There’s nothing sexy about feeling exhausted.) Don’t make her feel like she has to prove herself right. Instead of being drawn into an hour-long heated conversation about YouTube stars, simply divert the conversation into more productive channels. Ask her what the weirdest pet she ever wanted was. Talk about your go-to snacks that other people judge you for. There are a lot of fun, flirty, teasing conversations that you can have with your date that don’t create a low-key hostile vibe. Good luck, and be sure to follow up your date with a nice thank-you text! Source: https://factboyz..com/2018/11/five-first-date-coversation-tips.html?m=1

Hmmm.. Sad News.. 2019. Atiku on ma mind |
The scandals rocking churches today is not something that must be from the signs of the endtime alone; but because the Jesus we preach today is not the Jesus of the bible.. Most churches in Nigeria, have departed from the bible and are into just singing and dancing with the ladies exposing slight nudity, and the men waiting to pounce on the vulnerable... Christianity is a lifestyle.. If I dont see Christ in you, pls dare not preach to me |
