It will be helpful to have and idea what the cost will be to make it a reality. My email is fadedayo@gmail.com. Thanks |
I really do appreciate the feedback. Thanks everyone. I think another thing I didn't mention is that this person has been my tenant for 4 years now and he knew since last year that the place is up for sale. He was given the right of first refusal. Also, whilst the minimum rent currently in the estate is 750K, my tenant has paid 500K in the 4 years he's been there, pleading each to give him an additional year until the rent is reviewed upwards. Because I only gave him 3 months notice, I also offered to give him 200K to assist him towards securing a new place. I desire is a win win situation for all. I am not sure that I've been unreasonably - for some that are trying to pass subtle insults. If I thought I knew it all, I won't be here seeking guidance. |
Hello all. I have an issue that I am hoping someone might be able to help me with. Sometime last year I informed one of my tenants in Lagos of my intention to sell the unit he occupied, after which he hosted some people that came to inspect the property between last year and this year. About 2 weeks ago I was finally able to close the deal but on the condition that the buyer gets vacant possession. Unfortunately however, the tenancy of the current occupant does not expire until August. I discussed with the buyer and he agreed that we should give the tenant until the end of August to leave the residence. This morning I informed the tenant by letter, that the property has been sold and that he will need to vacate the unit by the end of August as the property no longer belonged to me. I further explained to him that the new landlord is a great guy and that even at the expiry of the 3 months plus notice, if he hasn't fully sorted out himself, I will be willing to have a chat with the new landlord on his behalf. To my greatest amazement after all the long talk, he said to me that he was not willing to acknowledge receipt of the notice as he does not think he's been given adequate notice and does not understand the implication of acknowledging receipt. Please my people, what options are available to me? I ordinarily do not want to join issues with my tenant. I do not want him to leave bitter either. The buyer wants to see evidence that the tenant has been duly informed of the sales and says he does not want to deal with any tenancy issues. The new landlord is a yoruba man who said he has not had good experiences with ibo tenants and as such will prefer for me to sort this out. I am of the opinion that people are not bad tenants because they are yoruba, hausa or ibo....but I wasn't going to get into that discussion with him. We are all products of several factors. So folks, I need guidance in handling this situation, please help me. Many thanks. |

INEC has declared the Imo State Governorship election between APC candidate, incumbent governor Rochas Okorocha and PDP candidate, Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, inconclusive. According to INEC results announced in Owerri yesterday, the APC candidate polled 385,671, while the PDP candidate polled 306,142. Returning Officer in Imo state, Prof. Ibidapo Obe, said they were declaring the election inconclusive because of the number of canceled votes which was 144,715, compared with the margin of win by Okorocha which was 79,529. Prof. Obe said a new date for new election in the wards in the different LGAs where the votes were cancelled will be announced soon. |

masterchi:How many of our leaders drive these made in Nigeria cars. Why are they not in their convoys. The idea is novel but I'm not sure the motive is right. |
I believe Innoson actually assembles. I think what he is saying here is that the tariff be reduced until the proper frame work for the manufacturing of these cars are on ground and also affordability by the common man. There was no reason to increase the tariff by this much to start with. |
Vice-Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, has assured Nigerians that if elected, the Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari-led government will slash tariffs on imported vehicles. Osinbajo also said that the APC government would tackle the electricity problem confronting the people by decentralising power generation across the country. At a town hall meeting of political stakeholders in Ondo on Tuesday, Osinbajo said Buhari would not Islamise Nigeria, contrary to the campaign smear of the Peoples Democratic Party. He said, “We do not agree that there should be high tariffs on imported cars, whether new or old ones, because Nigeria is not producing cars for now. “What we will do first is to fix power and encourage local production of cars. But before then we will reduce the high tariffs that Nigerians are paying to import vehicles into the country.” He said that Nigerians should not find it difficult to purchase cars for their social and economic activities and that the APC government would ensure lower tariffs when voted into power. On power, the vice presidential candidate said the problem of power in Nigeria was traceable to the lack of supply of gas to the power plants. He promised that module power plants would be situated in neighbourhoods where power is needed while gas would be supplied to the plants, using trucks and other means besides pipelines. He said the model had already been put to use in Lagos State where such plants supply power to designated neighbourhoods. Osinbajo also debunked fears that the APC government would ban commercial motorcycles across the country, saying commercial motorcycles would be allowed provided riders obey laws and keep the rules in the states where they operate. http://www.punchng.com/news/apcll-cut-tariffs-on-tokunboh-cars-osinbajo/ |
Collynzo9:He's a military man. He won't expose his tactics to the enemy. Just my guess though. |
rubii09:Same here. After listening to him tonight and seeing his composure through all the hard questions, I'm voting this man no doubt. When you compare his interview with that of GEJ on NTA tonight, you know we've been in one chance for the past 6years. |
The forensic audit conducted by audit firm, PriceWaterHouseCoopers on behalf of the Federal Govt to investigate the financial transactions within the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, (NNPC) has indicted the management of the NNPC for various questionable transactions. The federal government had contracted the auditing firm in March last year to investigate allegations of financial impropriety within the corporation after Former CBN Governor, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi raised an alarm that $20m was missing from the coffers of the NNPC. President Jonathan received the report from the audit firm on Monday February 2nd. According to Premium Times, part of the recommendations in the audit report includes the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company, NPDC, the upstream subsidy of the NNPC, refund about $1.48billion to the Federation Account for various un-reconciled transactions. More details of report later. |
