jenigurl:You seem to generalize that all men cheat. This is not true. I have been married for over a decade, but I do not cheat. |
It was only a few minutes to eight in the evening. His house at Ikoyi would take under an hour to drive to Lord Rava's house at Ajah. Owoblow decided he would set out for the place later. |
Where he had failed in life was the fact that he had not been able to have a child. At forty two, he had been married to his wife for seven years. Seven good years! All medical tests and results showed that nothing was wrong with neither his wife nor himself. What then could be the problem? They had undergone series od fertility treatments. Even in the previous year, his wife, Helen, had gone for the IVF treatment. They had been assured that the treatment would work. Just whem the process was about to be completed, the consultant gynaecologist said Helen had weak uterus wall. It was discovered that she might not have a successful conception and delivery, after all. Then, they were advised to look for a surrogate mother, an idea which Owoblow seriously detested. Helen would not mind giving the surrogate mother option a trial, but Owoblow was averse to it. To him, instead of another woman carrying his child, would it not be better he took another wife altogether? In the past few weeks, he had been mulling over this idea, and he had started thinkinking it was a good one, although right now, he did not have a woman in mind. Getting any wife should not be a problem, as he had all that a woman yearned for. Anothher idea came to his mind. Why not tell Lord Rava about his problem? Lord Rava and The Red Temple were instrumental to his getting stupendous wealth. It would not be an overstatement to say that he worshipped at the feet of Lord Rava at the Red Temple. Why had he not discussed this issue with the powerful spiritual man before now? Right there, he decided he would discuss the matter with the man. The limousine had come to a stop at the front of the massive gate to his mansion. He had been so engrossed in thoughts he did not know they were home. The driver blarred the horn of the car. Seconds later, the gate rolled to a side and the car was driven in. The man sitting on the passenger seat at the front jumped out of the car to open the car door for Owoblow. He got down majestically. It was good to be rich. One of the house maids informed him that his wife went out. As soon as he got to his bedroom upstairs, he put a call to Lord Rava. 'Good day, Your Greatness,' he greeted the man. It was the standard way they addressed the man. 'Can I come and see you this evening, Lord Shiva? There is something very important I want to discuss with you.' 'You know you can always see me, anytime,' the man replied over the line. 'Thank you, Your Greatness. I will be in your place by nine o'clock, tonight.' |
Dear friends, this is a story I always want to tell. It is full of suspense and intrigues. Comments and criticism are welcome. Enjoy. The Wretched Billionaire (c) 2018. This work is protected. No part of it can be used without the permission of the writer. Tony politely approached his boss. He stooped as he made to pass an important message to the big man. 'The pilot says the plane will land in five minutes' time, sir. You are to fasten the seat beats.' Chief Owoblow nodded without saying a word. He sipped the last liquid from his glass of champagne and placed the glass cup on the glossy, glass table. Tony cleared the drinks and the glasses. The executive jet had a small cabin where wines and the likes were stocked. Owoblow wore a contended smile. It had been another successful business trip. For an important business trip such as this, he preferred to go by his private jet. Travelling to Dakar, Senegal, required that he must go with his best. That was exactly what he did. He tightened the seat belt. The plane had started making its descent. Owoblow could see the landscape as it popped to his view. Lagos, here we come, he thought. The aircraft made its successful landing and taxied to a stop. Chief Owoblow knew that his limousine would be waiting to convey him to his mansion. The sleek car was a wonder on wheels. It cost several millions of naira to procure it. It was customised. All his cars were customised. Chief Owoblow was a very prosperous man. His business was booming. He was into many things including importation of essential commodities like rice, salt, sugar and automobile. He was very rich from his many businesses. He was a very successful man in all aspects of life. Except one. |
If it is true that a prophet's work can be this powerful, let me know the prophet. |
Wait a minute. This story sounds familiar. Is it true life story or fiction? |
Yes. I understand his father, Dr. Olusola Saraki came from Abeokuta to settle (or maybe his grandfather). However, Bukola is claiming to come from Kwara state. He believes the Northern status ascribed to Kwara will help. I see him as a failure in the making. |
That Senator Bukola Saraki, the Senate President has Presidential ambition is not in doubt. It is also glarring that he is behind the emergence of rAPC. Despite all his manoevrings, Saraki would probably have to wait for another 13 yerars (2031) before he could achieve his dream, if he will ever achieve it. Right now, the following factors are working against him: 1. He is from Kwara state, not from a core Northern state. 2. Despite his pretences, he is a Yoruba man from Ilorin, not a core Northerner. 3. Majority of the people are not fooled by his antics. Mark my word, Saraki is not going to smell the position of President of Nigeria. |
