Sports / Re: Tobi Amusan Provisionally Suspended For Anti-Doping Violations by fajalive(m): 10:53am On Jul 19, 2023
Sincerely, i am sure a lot of us does not understand what this information is. She was provisional banned not because she's involved with drugs or substances but every athletics were to submit theirselves to be tested in some period of time. All athletics were to provide all information using a social media with the athletic world body where they will be at all particular time and places. No matter the location after being informed of taking testing of antidoping for about three 3 times while missing those periods, an athlete could be suspended no matter you are. For congnisance, an American athlete was suspended for a year because of it recently I think his name Comman. He was an active athlete at present but a law is law and has to be followed.
Amusan still has an advantage to to appeal if not or found guilty without genuine excuses she will be suspended but not banned for using substances or drugs.

Politics / BVAS Syndicate In Abuja: Persons Found Are INEC Engineers - Police by fajalive(m): 5:27am On Mar 01, 2023
Police denies reports of arrests of BVAS syndicate in Abuja, says persons found with the machines have been identified as INEC engineers

The Nigeria Police Force has denied reports of arresting some persons for being in possession of BVAS machines in the Maitama area of Abuja.

AriseTV had reported that those arrested were helping police in their investigations.

However, in a statement released, the spokesperson of the police force, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said the Force ‘’wishes to debunk, in strong terms, the trending news in the media confirming the arrest of some individuals in Maitama, Abuja, with electoral materials and some Bi-Modal Voters Accreditation System (BVAS) machines, by operatives of the Nigeria Police Force.''

Adejobi said operatives of the Nigeria Police Force Intelligence Bureau (FIB), acting on a tip from residents of an area in Maitama who reported suspicious activities, visited the location, interviewed the occupants, and conducted a search on the house.

’In the course of the search, some electoral materials and BVAS machines were discovered in their possession. However, the Independent National Electoral Commission, when contacted, confirmed that the occupants of the house are staff of Emperor Technology, outsourcing engineering services to the INEC, and they were immediately released to go about their lawful business.

The Force, while urging well-meaning members of the public to discountenance the false and misconstrued narrative being spread by some sections of the media about the arrest of these individuals and their link with BVAS manipulation, charged reporters and media houses to endeavor to do due diligence and ascertain the veracity of the information on the public space before spreading such to avoid being victims of the “breaking news syndrome” Adejobi said

The police urged all and sundry to avoid the creation and spread of misinformation and disinformation which is capable of causing disaffection between the populace and state actors more so as we are at a critical and sensitive moment in our democracy.

Properties / Re: Safety Tips To Take When Buying A Property In Lagos by fajalive(m): 1:48pm On Jan 21, 2021
Nice information but missing and creating confusion of the professionalism on land matters.
..Trust is the first motive to have in your mind while dealing with anybody, it could be your family member or any professional on land matters.
Point of correction, a laywer cannot work on isolation or alone while acquiring a land in Lagos. Their major job is to check and confirm whether the document is genuine or not, check whether the land is not on Litigation abefore acquiring and to prepare documentation when buying it.

Note: Other professionals like the Surveyors, Town Planners, Architects has their roles to be played before acquiring a property in Lagos.
.... Before acquiring a land for any use (residential, commercial, institutional or industrial) there's need to confirm from the Ministry of Physical Planning seeking for Planning Information process if on that land for example a shopping complex if can be built or to have an industrial there or not. Is like someone that has the purpose of building a production industry or petrol filling station in a residential area. Thats the work a Town Planner.

A Surveyor is to chart if the land or property is free from Govt acquisition or not and to prepare a Survey plan with Read-copy and Land information for the process of (C of O) or Govt Consent.

An architect is to design and build anything you want on the land as regard to the Approval granted for the land from the Authority (LASPPPA).

I hope this will add and guide to the Mod info.

Thanks.
