Nigerian star musician, Olamide, has resumed his viral #PawonChallenge which is aimed at promoting his new song 'Pawon'.

This is coming after a week break from the controversial but trending challenge due to the xenophobic attacks in South Africa.

recalls that Olamide while taking a break from the challenge which some fans saw as 'immoral' and 'indecent' because of how some young ladies twerk, Olamide had shared a post that read:

"Pray for Nigerians in South Africa"


Returning to the challenge after one week, Olamide shared a video of a pantless Atlanta model and dancer, Starla Rosario, twerking to his 'Pawon' song.

Many of his followers seem excited to have the challenge back.

My poetry and raps are gaining more traction.

“I thought deeply about how to engage my audience and I thought to myself that people who shake their bum (twerk) get a lot of views and that was why I decided to use my boobs to dance and I called it ‘bresking’. The first video I uploaded went viral and that was how I gained a lot of audience and they started noticing my poetry. I realised it worked. I didn’t do it against my will; I just discovered what works for me. This is me, and I am okay."
