Pls, help me out how do i install applications on my blackberry 8310 (curve edge)

:oI ' v been downloading different types of yahoomessenger on my system yet, whenever I try to run it, it wont run and 'll be given different kind of error, d file would have been mutilated

I even tried to run it directly from d internet, it is still thesame problem.
I 'v tried virtually all the available yahmssgr be it ysmgr8.0, ysmgr9.0, multi-messgr & many more
My System Operating Sytem is Windows XP Service Pack 2.

All other Softwares are loading & working perfectly on my system except for this ymsgr.
