We are currently seeking an experienced Egg, Meat and Feed Production Poultry Manager to manage a farm in Kajola town, Ogun State.

Job Purpose:
To design and implement strategies to direct and oversee the operations of livestock department (Layer, hatchery and broiler farms) to ensure demand fulfillment through supply of superior quality live chicken at minimal cost
To direct the workforce in livestock department to continually strive for improved product quality, productivity, cost improvement and work with the marketing department to ensure effective sales
To ensure quality feed formula and maintain a high quality/high production feed mill.

Strategic planning & policy formulation:
Lead the livestock department strategic planning process in consultation with Senior Management
Translate the strategic marketing plan into annual business plan and budget for the Livestock department
Formulate and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures, protocols and policies for effective functioning of the livestock department
Responsible for egg production, sensor and preservation

Resource Allocation & Manpower management:
Actively engage in recruiting, training and allocating resources to the sub departments within Livestock.
Assess the requirement for training systems for livestock team and implement relevant training systems.
Establish employee goals and conduct employee incentive reviews.
Conceptualize and develop safety policies and procedures to ensure safety during operations.

Quality, Hygiene & safety:
Ensure that the livestock team adheres to all hygiene and safety standards.
Devise and approve quality management processes with the help of Quality Assurance team.
Reporting:
Report as per agreed frequency using relevant performance measures.
Manage relevant reporting of management and financial information for the livestock department.

Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. Preferably in Poultry Management or related course.

Experience:
Extensive experience running poultry farm operations in managerial roles.

Generic Skills:
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS-Excel, MS- PowerPoint , MS- Word and MS - Outlook)
