LagosOrigin:I'm not Databoi, but for you to think TINIBU cancel his trip simply because Obi decamped to NDC is the must dumbest thing an adult will ever think. Something that has been on the news for couple of days? 😂 |
LagosOrigin:Wetin this one dey talk? Oga watch the video, oh I forgot you no get data. But help yourself with the photos attached. Obi don buy market o😂 |
Aliyu Kwakwanso appeared to upstage Peter Obi during their reported registration with the NDC, sparking fresh political speculation. In a video that surfaced just hours after news of their alleged defection, Kwakwanso was seen grabbing the NDC party registration card as it was about to be presented to Obi. The moment occurred at the official declaration event, with party officials including chairman figures and Senator Seriake Dickson present. Kwakwanso swiftly intercepted the card before it reached Obi, who stood by watching. The brief but striking incident has fueled debate about underlying power dynamics between the two politicians. Observers suggest the move may signal Kwakwanso’s intention to position himself ahead of Obi within the party. Some analysts interpret it as a sign that he may not be interested in a vice-presidential role, but instead could be eyeing the NDC presidential ticket himself. This raises several questions: If Obi fails to secure the ticket, will he support Kwakwanso, or consider moving to another party once again? Was Kwakwanso’s action a subtle declaration of his own presidential ambition? For now, analysts describe the situation as fluid, noting that Obi’s path to the presidency under the NDC platform may face fresh uncertainty. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dJcIBHVEiUQ?si=7WZ5fCLEtKTVFp7r

We need your prayers here wlh, cause it's hellish for all Middle to small scale farmers |
Bonus pic; A Corn face FarmerI know I looked shabby, but this shabbily looking corn-face farmer was going through load of Shit, or can I say a lot of shit is passing through me; TRAGEDY Thief broke into my store, 14 bags of maize Otilo! dry maize performance was poor at grain market (28k a bag) my main farms needs fertilizers and not enough money to buy as required. I've budgeted to apply 7 bags of fertiliser, but end up with 4 bags. The other farms are water logged, due to excessive rainfall. Some patches are failing.

So since July 24thI didn't even veer through the route to the farm, untill August 26, to God be the glory the maize crops is good and are at tassel stage. I didn't used any fertilizer but manure and wood ash I've applied before ploughing.
|
It's what has even dissipate my steam, makes me give less F about some of the farms. But man have to man up cause Las las, na who give up Bleep up push and see how far we can go. |
Due to high cost of farm inputs; Labor wa, agrochemicals, fertilizer etc... and no money in farm produce; imagine a bag of maize, (100kg) at 30k and yet a bag of premium NPK fertilizer goes for 75k! So one have to sell like 3 bags of maize before you can get 1 bag of fertiliser and a sachet of Atrazine! A bottle of miafuron (Nicosulfuron) 8k, Atrazine 15k! For that, I nominate the year 2025 as the worst of the worst for every farmer in Nigeria. |
Hey pals, sorry for the delay in updating the thread, I've been super busy these days, even though the farm isn't far from my house (1km) but couldn't make it there due to tight work schedules. |
July 24th went for fast paparazzi, the maize turn into hottest cele in the town.
|
July 13th from different angle, there's termitaria on the farm patch, so the maize seedling from the side emerge with more vigour.
|
July 13th 6 days after I applied Nicosulfuron Lipton as we called it, I went to scout the patch, these are some pics I brought from the farm.
|
Hi fellas, so as the season advance so is the farming activities. The farmland patch has been sown and it has germinated. On the day July 7th, I went to spray Nicosulfuron (systematic selective herbicide for maize) to finished up the remaining weeds that the weedkiller I used didn't tackled well.
|
Sorry guys for me abandoning the thread, I've leave home to tend to some of my farms far from home with little to no GSM signals. Thats why I couldn't updated the thread as rain season advance. |
JealousCobra:Thanks boss |
And yet farmers can't afford farm inputs due to its extreme cost. Imagine a bag of premium NPK fertilizer go for 80k and a bag of maize 29k A litre of herbicide like Paraquat go for 5k, Forceup 3,500? A bag of groundnuts 29k? |
I'll try my best to update you guys as frequent as I can. Thanks yours faithful maize grower Markus. Ciao! |
Forgive me for not taking pics and video when the farmland is been plowed, but I've snapped some after. Due to high cost of tractor hire, we resort to using Keke NAPEP to plough. Fig.1 Was the after pic of the farm after it's been worked. You can see the Keke driving out of the farm before I came back from other farm.

Maize planting onset was heavily affected by this year epilithic rainfall pattern, but thanks to heavens the rain is improving. So I'm going to document my journey here, hope you guys will enjoy it! I'm yours Markus from Borno state Nigeria. |
