PoliticsRe: Even Tinubu Moves With Too Many Police Escorts – Senator Ndume by Farmsolution: 11:01am On Nov 28, 2025
emkz:
Why exactly does Nigeria have to provide police for anyone?

With roughly 400,000 active police officers, we have about 1 policeman to 575 citizens. The Police:Citizen ration is 1:220 according to United Nations. What this means is that Nigeria is grossly underpoliced. We need statistics on number of policemen guarding foreigners, VIPs, banks MDs, pastors, politicians and doing security work. As a matter of urgency, ALL security arrangements for anyone who needs it need to be private. That includes security for politicians, VIPs and so on. Policemen should not be guarding oil installations.

This strange practice puts policemen at risk.

Similarly, soldiers should not guard any retired military personnel. Private security firms can do that job and be paid to do so.

I agree with Senator Ndume. The presidential guards brigade and DSS have sufficient protection for the president. There is no need for police unit for any reason. Infact, police protection should not be granted any VIP. Protection from what?

As for underpolicing, we need to review the entire policing structure. We need police at villages, local government and state levels. We also need border patrol police and highway police. Does Nigeria have an elite police unit like SWAT? The Nigerian Police Force needs to be converted to an elite unit that should be doing the work the Army is currently doing. You'd be amazed at how effective local and village police can be.

By allowing private security firms do the job the police is currently doing, we create jobs for our teeming youth.

Whoever cannot afford private security as a VIP does not need it.
You want to stop where some people dey chop.. do you know how much it takes to get a VIP police attachment? Now multiply that by the numbers presently doing protection jobs. Even new shop has been openes to nscdc now. Envy go enter abi make them no answer the president.

Go to federal Secretariat in some states and the cu**om, i**igration, etc headquarters in so many states amd see how they keep roaming aimlessly up and down doing nothing but racketeering. Those one alone can be seconded.

Another thing be say the ones saddled with the responsibilities of refusing aliens entering in the country all prefer to be posted to the airport where they use their alimajiri certificate wella
Na so so millions they follow trailer enter without documentation.

There is another specie mandated to seize all manners of contrabands at the borders but ma so so rice dem dey collect. Until one trailer go carry bullet and the thing they drop for Zaria, walahi , nobody ask them any questions at all. And them dey pray say make nobody point them. Na only tokunbo motor and bag of rice be them specialization.

The only agency working now are the DSS and the NDLEA, EFCC, dem no dey gree for anyone.

For bongo here na survival of the fittest....

Seen a case where the woman didn't even pay a dime until the principal had to call the father to inform him that they are about to hold exams and he noticed that he doesn't owe school fees. He paid it right away got the receipt and called the wife to ask about it. Only to discover that she borrowed the money and added it to her business and she forgot to pay. Many of those things you call wives are actually animals especially those middle aged ones and their newbies. They can lie for hell and money no dey reach them.

As a man make sure you do some responsibilities yourself. Like buying things for your children, paying their school fees and ensuring that they depend on you for survival, otherwise, that your wife go tell them say she dey struggle to make them succeed even when she doesn't do anything

As for me, it seems Trump hasn't understood the concept of climate change yet. Because it is not a scam, it is actually a true.

Trump stand now is that, there are changes but they are not because of fossil fuels and the industrial activities. And I support him to an extent because the mother earth is not going to be a baby forever. And right now, it is age there are supposed to be some changes naturally. And if humanity has no concrete and lasting solution to man's aging, how do you think you can have a lasting solution to the aging/changing of the mother earth? If you stop burning fossil fuels, can you stop volcanic eruptions? No.

But at least, we can plant trees. Trump needs to understand what climate change is, believe, support and advocate for planting of trees
If you go back and check the papers we'll, what Donald Trump is saying is that it's those countries that are burning fossils that are depleting the ozone layers more and should pay more like China and Russia. And not countries that have started renewable energies. Go and look well into those countries in that group , they are mostly European 3rd world countries and some jackpot Asians countries as well been mislead by Russian and china

An alleged incident at *Starville School in Jahi, Abuja🙆🏼‍♂️*

.A teacher claimed he slapped a student for reportedly pushing him twice. Later, during a meeting with the principal and the parents, the situation escalated when the parents began slapp!ng the teacher back too 😭💔.

Video cannot be uploaded because it is heavy.

Peoples Comments :

• That's what poverty has reduced the teaching profession to.

*The uncouth and untrained child becomes more arrogant in class; at the effrontery of rudely pushing the teacher again in the nearest future.*

• So terribly pathetic and the ministry of education will see this and will not doing anything about it

What are your views ??
When those you uncut teachers start misbehaving what did the school do. Bullying students , sleeping with the young female ones and sodomizing the poor boys . Abi you think people be fool

A Teacher’s Experience and the Growing Threat to Educators

Doubts About the Parents’ Story

This story from the parents seems questionable. Throughout their account, they never stated what their child actually did, nor whether they had reported anything to the school management before now. As far as I am concern, this story is just "DAMAGE CONTROL"

A Recent Tragedy in Oyo State

Not long ago in Oyo State, students of a certain school attacked and brutally beat a teacher who corrected them for gambling in his class. The teacher later died in the hospital from the injuries he sustained.
In the end, many members of the public still blamed the teacher for not being professional. A report even said the teacher died as a result of bone cancer not as a result of the brutal attack on him by his students. No one focused on the crime committed by the students. To borrow the famous words of Chinua Achebe, THINGS FALL APART.

A Personal Encounter as a Private School Teacher

The Parent Who Came to Attack Me

I teach in a private school, so I understand the pain teachers go through. A parent once came to my school to beat me up if not for quick intervention. He told me he had gathered information about me: my home address, my wife, my children, and even the places I visit.
According to him, he only wanted to see me face to face before beating me thoroughly and throwing me into prison, certain that no one would see me nor save me.

What Triggered the Confrontation

What was my offence? His son (being my student of Year 12 then) was not properly dressed. He was coming to my class sagging, with his pants partly showing, and he was barefoot. I told him to go and dress properly before coming into my class. He tried to force his way into my class but I did not allow him even when I allowed others who were properly dressed. He left reluctantly. He was a boarding student. I assumed he went to dress up, but he never returned.
A few days later, the father came to attack me. According to the father, someone told him I sent his ONLY son out of my class. I told him that in all my years of teaching, I had never sent out any student from my class. I prefer to correct them in class and then report the matter to management if needed.

Fear of a Hidden Weapon

While he was ranting and threatening me, he kept his hands in his pockets. I wondered whether he might be holding a weapon. I stayed calm as I explained the situation, but I remained alert. Some years earlier, a parent had come to attack a colleague with a pistol. Fortunately, he did not meet him.
All these thoughts filled my mind as this parent stood before me with his hands in his pockets, threatening me for trying hard to make his child a responsible member of society, yet what the parent could offer in return was attacking for correcting his child!

The Harsh Reality for Teachers

Teachers, especially those in private schools, are at the mercy of the school, the parents and the students. No one seems to care about their struggles or sacrifices. Yet they are the ones who shape every professional in society.

A Note to Parents and Teachers

A Word for Parents

Children rarely admit they are at fault. They will tell you what someone did to them but keep quiet about what they did to others. This is natural child behaviour, but it can mislead parents.
So it helps to pause, filter every report and verify it before reacting. Ask questions. Speak with the school management about the incident. Get the full picture. When parents respond without checking the facts, they may end up defending bad behaviour and harming the very child they hope to protect. In other words, calm enquiry goes much further than anger.

A Word for Private School Teachers

Teachers in private schools need to be careful. Be professional at every turn. Avoid hitting any child because it exposes you to danger and puts your job at risk. If a child misbehaves, document it and report it through the proper channels. Let the management handle the matter. That is how the system should work.

However, if you have followed all procedures and the authority refuses to act, protect yourself. Do your job, but keep a safe distance from that child. Treat the child with basic courtesy but do not engage beyond what is required for academic work. In short, withdraw emotionally and practically. Consider the child a non-participant in your space so that you remain safe.

You have a family. You have a life. No job is worth losing your safety over. Teachers give so much already, so guard your peace and protect your future.

If they loose their job is it not better , if you unalive a child while beating the child will the parents be satisfied with you going to jail and coming back alive. Most of those teachers are not serious .

It's only in this part of the world that people tolerate nonsense. That's why they will remain backwards. Try beating a child in the western world especially another person's child. Discipline doesn't mean you have to beat the child.
Mad people everywhere, my son is a victim of teachers brutality. The man has so much instilled fear in the mind of the other pupils to the extent that they don't like talking bad about him.

I called the principal to register my displeasure about how a teacher slapped my son and even went there only for the principal to beg means AI left thinking all was over . Only for the poor boy to come back to tell me that the stupid teacher keep verbally bullying him with all manners of words. Sending all manners of indirect messages toe via the child. I just keep telling the boy to ignore him. Not until he told my son that when they meet in future he will be too ashamed to look into his face and then I has to go to the school myself, and demanded to see the teacher myself , unfortunately the school principal lied that he can't locate him. I got there before they rang their closing bell.

Well I have penned down warnings for him, I have choices and won't blink an eye to use any of it should he repeats such stupid acts. Funny enough they tends to defend themselves and cover issues but I told the principal that if anything untold happens to my child , I will not accept a sorry, it will be an eye for an eye or any other students, once they see me they should know a witness against the is around.

Don't just sit down and allow any stupid teacher to bully your child and feel on to of the wolf about it. Accept it and see the moral of your child die naturally.. awon oloriburuku gbogbo......

I don't trust this man. He is defending an insolence against Mr president's member of staff in line of duty. The mistake president Tinubu can make is to allow this people's historics and side talks and the fear of election. He needs to decisively deal with this menace once and for all.
