One of the most remarkable features of the theory of multiple intelligence is how it provides eight different potential pathways to learning. If a teacher is having difficulty reaching a student in the more traditional linguistic or logical ways of instruction, the theory of multiple intelligence suggests several other ways in which the material might be presented to facilitate effective learning. Whether you are a kindergarten teacher, a graduate school instructor, or an adult learner seeking better ways of pursuing self-study on any subject of interest, the same basic guidelines apply. Whatever you are teaching or learning, see how you might connect it with Get the full article on the link below https://educatetolead./2018/06/19/multiple-intelligence-harnessing-different-strategies-to-teaching-and-learning-experience/

Private schools in Rwanda face an uncertain future amid dwindling admissions as learners increasingly enroll in public schools. Desperate proprietors who face closure of their institutions are now asking the government to sponsor students in private schools at public rates. However, the government has rejected the idea. More than 30 private schools are said to have closed indefinitely this year, while others are struggling to stay afloat after losing students to public schools. It is clear from the frightening noise over the newly publicised revised basic education curriculum review that the exercise is too important to be handled in a slipshod manner by a federal government agency without adequate consultation with all the stakeholders, especially parents and the federating states of Nigeria. The exercise being spearheaded by the Federal Ministry of Education in Abuja through its agency, Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC) should be discontinued forthwith because the rationalisations by the Council so far have been more than puerile and the exercise will not serve any public good. https://educatetolead./2016/05/10/the-new-school-curriculum/ |

The need to shift from teacher-centred to learner – centred instruction should not be over-emphasized. As technology has created change in all aspects of society, it is also changing our expectations of what students must learn and how they are learning in order to function effectively in the new world economy. Students will have to learn to navigate through large amounts of information, to analyze and make decisions, and to master new knowledge domains in an increasingly technological society. Students will need to be lifelong learners, collaborating with others in accomplishing complex tasks, and effectively using different systems for representing and communicating knowledge to others. A shift from teacher-centred instruction to learner-centred instruction is needed to enable students to acquire the new 21st century knowledge and skills.
