Heard there is now interview at the airport for students travelling to the UK,
How is this information pls?

A friend of mine was scheduled for interview this week after paying for priority.

What are the possible questions?
What does the interview even looks like?

I think you should do a paid call and ask about the status of your application. My Visa got approved today but no email yet. I called and asked about the status of my application and I was told a decision has been made -- I proceeded to UKVI website, created an account and attempted to link my eVisa... Of course, it was successful.

I made a paid enquiry last night and i got this responds, "Our records indicate a decision has been made on your application." but no email yet to that effect, Do you advise i go ahead to create an account?



Update!!!
So after I got feedback that “ decision has been made on your application” but no mail, I went ahead a create the UKVI account this morning and fill all the necessary checks, I got a mail that I will be notified when to view my immigration status.
Exactly 5pm on the dot this evening, I got the, “Your Application for a United Kingdom (UK) has been successful”

I don’t know if it’s a coincidence or not.

Bio Date was August 18th.
Paid Enquiry was September 8th
Success Mail was 9th September.

Please, I would appreciate if those that had recieved the UKVI message that read... "we cannot make a decision on your visa application within the established processing times", can tell us how many days/weeks it took for them to get a decision. Only primary experience needed. Thanks

How long does it takes after the bio to get this message?

Is like when UK asks for interview before visa decision for students visa application, Na automatic refusal. It's crazy.

Is it advisable one appeal it or just let go? Heard most times, it's always same result

On what grounds please?
I mean the reason for the refusal!

pls what bank is that? Recently many Nigeria banks have been delaying their replies to UKVI, and I really don’t know what’s going on. Since 18th of August I haven’t received any mail yet

I guess the school is Hull,

But for the visa, what’s really causing such delays, I did mine on the 18th and I already worried!

My little bro is in the east and wants to travel to Abj for the test.

Any TB test hospital in PH?

Use Benin City, closer than going to Abuja, except you have other reason for going to Abj

Paying the tuition fees in full is an added advantage if you got every other requirements right.

Landed documents are not needed but adding it will not harm your application.

Student visa is a point based system, so if you tick all the boxes of requirements then your chances are higher.

Good afternoon house ! Please I will appreciate your response! I applied for mres at university of Gloucestershire for September intake but with the look of things , no CAS has been issued and also I checked the updated schools with sponsorship at ukvi website , the university name is not included . Does it mean the government has redrawn their license to sponsor student ? Note have paid my tuition deposit, thanks!

That "staying afloat" is the immediate concern because the opposite doesn’t look good here in the UK.

It is then left for individuals on Care COS to continually invest in their personal development , no matter how little, bit by bit, so that they will not in the next 5 years from now, still hustling for care job shifts.

If anyone must still come to the UK through the study route, they should intentionally go for courses that would give them a higher chance in the UK job market, not wasting thousands of pounds on nice sounding courses but actually won't give them a chance of getting visa sponsored in that field.

I’d suggest contact the uni to ask more about the placement year.

Most unis do not provide any assistance getting you the placement, and you’d have to apply and hopefully, be selected for the job/placement.

It can be a lot of hassle finding a tech role in the current job economy.

I’d say, contact the uni, do your research and decide what’s best for you.

Something like "Medical Physics" will actually pay a lot anywhere!

I want to know if it's preferable to choose the Full time (without an industry placement) or Full time (with an industry placement).

If interested in teaching,, look into going for PGDE Secondary Education (Physics), it a one year program and a higher chance of getting certificate of sponsorship as a Physics teacher as the UK is experiencing a shortage of Physics teachers.
