@ba2undey Dont mind us.That's y we are uites. All putting one another on track. U know we need to be able to give sound judgement in all things. though we arenot perfect. Thanks anyway. |
@ ishow UI no longer use PUNCH now its THE GUARDIAN AND NIGERIAN TRIBUNE. the magazine columns |
Haba Ishow i lost my phone and ur no. am online lets chat we really need to talk |
@ jarsofclay emmy4naira , i can't blame u guys u are entitle to your opinion but i want u guys to know that the fact that your friend has distinction and wasnt given doesnt mean they are corrupt though i sympathize with ur friend. But lots of factors could have been responsible, ui dont judge only on ur academics even ur dress code can disqualify u, ur manners and the way u expressed ur self during interview. If ur friend had not made it up to the interview stage, then may be his application didnot follow ui's standard as a matter of fact failing to adhere to instruction in ui can cost u ur DEGREE talk more of admission. Aside that av you tried looking at this perspective of CUT OFF POINTS FOR EACH DEPARTMENTS lots of pple have had distinctions and lots are still aving and the more the pass rate the higher the cut off. If u are below the cut off by 1/4 point then u are out. if your friend did make up to the cut off or couldn't defend the 6A and 3Bs during the verification of result then he wont be given (besides distinction is an easything to comeby now once u av your money). AS for the website issue, its not about the fineness but the product. By the way they are still working on the site. rome wasnt built in a day! @Wordsmith I really am sorry to say this but I must say that i doubt u are a boinafide uite. I am really dissapointed. Bonafide uites know the value and count the cost not go about defaming ui because of SUG that wont profit us only add to our problem. the years they had SUG what did they achieve aside STRIKE, violence AND CULTISM! You really need to look at it in every perspective & reason out the consequences the pros n cons have to be considered by the way You can't do better if u are the VC. this is government property not private government work takes time and lots of processes. Even if UI isn't the best, we are better than some other UNIS and i can beat my chest to that. talking out of experience. ILORIN is even out of place to compare with ui. |
that is true end time is near. May God deliver us. |
hey point of correction, UI isnt slow but they just want to make sure everything is just. they dont want to have people who merit admission suffer like other school where everything is done in a hurry and end up having lots of leakages. As for the result of the 1st verification and admission all will be released along side the second and change of course admission. so Just go and relax and prepare for resumption if u know u av done well. U guys will resume "SEPT 20th 2008" so go home and rest, cos u have loads of work ahead. just leave UI to do there own part. best of luck! |
this is a nice one. He has said it all just to add: sometimes u need to do extra work like familiarising urself with ur lecturers' style or mode of teaching, discover somethings on ur own (what is discover urself sticks than that which u are told), memorise what u know as pple tend to remeber what they memorise more. Finally, DONT FORGET THE GOD FACTOR IN SUCCESS! |

GUYS, MY ADVISE TO U IS TO GO TO IBADAN FOR IT THE EARLIER THE BETTER NOW. |
hey am intrested, mail poshtimar5@yahoo.com. |
@ishow, am sure going to get u something but i think i av a prob with queens hall, they arent going to give us(200L) bedspace. I tried getting BQ but to no avail. though am still trying. @adewaleafolabi am fine now. I was in BIC but BGG will be in MBBS next session. best of luck prospective uites! |
I think u guys need to pray hard that waec do something b4 19th and then u can also go to waec office and lay ur complaints and they will provide a way out. I think that was what most of us did last year when we had this problem. Cos if you guys dont talk, they wont know your pains. |
@Emmy4nairaland, I will advise you to get someone to help u get it, or go to ibadan. dont look at the tp else u will loose it cos at that date if they mean to close it, they will. and nothing more. |
You don't need to read Text Book to pass screening test in UI,The problem is just for those who score 265 and above. If they can't defend the result. you have to be smart and be intelligent , read primary school text book and be smart. The question are like WHY CHOOSE UI AS UR FIRST CHOICE? Why choose the course? why not in another department? how many sides does a CuBE of Sugar have? if happen to enter into the interview Room and there's power outbreak you can simply help by opening the windows , and please read news papers so as to brush up your knowledge concerning current affairs, i could remember when the formal oyo state governor (ladoja) was impeached, a student of mine lied that he lives in lagos not ibadan because he arrived late to the interview , he was asked this question, WHAT HAPPEN TODAY IN IBADAN? he couldn't just believe he passed the interview. So Guys, nothing much in UI , you don't have to download 25 text books into your brain before you come for an interview in UI and mind you, your dressing code can even disqualify you . so therefore, dress simple and cool and don't forget to pray before comming. Notice to all applicants, Its not yet time to fill a form and when its time to fill the form, you will be notified through the media( news papers, magazines) most especially The Punch news paper. if u hv questions, Email me here shegzyland003@yahoo.co.uk i will get you updated or send you my phone # and please no room for night calls. Thanks shegzy is really right, u dint need to read the whole text books but notwithstanding u still av to read cos ba wasa ba. Am a uite to and when i was interviewed last year humh it wasn't funny Cos i had some distinctions so i was really bombarded with questions but u can still beat them. just watch out they will always give u clue to the answers and dont play too know cos if u do they will finish u. u know they are profs so there's no way u will play itk a go free. just be calm, cultured dint forget to greet them all properly, dress modest and smile. they are not demons so they wont kill u. they just want u to prove urself. Also dint forget the place of prayer and be honest cos that is what they want if u dint know a question or u are confused just politely let them know u are confuse and they will give u clue or even change it. DON'T PLAY OVER SABBI IF NOT U WILL NEED THE GRACE OF GOD TO BEAT THEM COS THEY WILL BRING U DOWN TO NOTHING. I WAS INFORMED B4 MY EXAMS AND WHEN I GOT THERE I SAW HOW THEY WERE WATCHING OUT 4 U TO PLAY MR. TOO KNOW AND THANK GOD I DIDN'T FALL PREY COS I TOOK TO ADVISE. SO U TOO DON'T FORGET OOOOOOOOOOO. I hope to see u all in next session BGG. BEST OF LUCK. I av access to internet facility at least 4 some hrs of the day i will be in my office, so if u need any info just mail or chat with me on poshtimar5@yahoo.com. Ishow how far. sorry i couldn't call again i av been very busy and I was "strong" 4 some time. Don't forget the change of course form i told u I really need it. |
