Another important thing for those who are done with theirs.. how many months insurance did u guys buy.. Must IT Be ONE Year?? I'm Looking At Buying 3 MONTHS Health Insurance.. Will that be accepted?

Insurance is just for 3 MONTHS only.

Please just follow the checklist sent to you by campus France. To avoid unnecessary mistakes. Everything you need to know and other accommodation platforms are listed in the campus France guide. Please use it. And also make use of avoiding visa application guide sent along with it.

I repeat EVERY INFORMATION you need is in the CF guide please use it.

Hello bro congrats on your visa.. Permit me to ask.. Which town are you going to?

I got admission in ECEMA LYON masters in human resources management.. I'm stuck with finding accommodation for visa purposes.. I've been searching through studapart but it all confusing..

ANY BODY GOING TO LYON PLEASE LET'S LINK UP AND PROBABLY GET AN APARTMENT TOGETHER AND SHARE THE RENT.. QUIT EXPENSIVE

Studapart is your best bet. I will advice you pay the studapart guarantee fee, it will reall Boost your chances of getting a place unless you have a guarantor resident in France.

Houses are quite expensive in France and difficult to get if you aren’t in France.

If your sponsor is in Nigeria and s/he is to transfer the equivalent of the 615*12 to your account, will the funds be considered at official CBN rate or black market rate or must the funds be in euro in your Nigerian dorm account?

It’s ok in naira, and in any account not necessarily dom account. And CBN rate is used not black market.

does this mean dat someone from Nigeria can't be a sponsor?

No, it doesn’t mean that!

Some from Nigeria can be your sponsor

Your sponsor should preferably be living in NIGERIA or FRANCE

If not have them transfer the money into your personal account and attach other documents

Thanks for the helpful tips.
This new rule about money in account/sponsor hasn't been well stated out.
It has to be in one's account for what duration, same three month?
Also, when is your resumption date?

Got the checklist.

No time period just let the money be complete by the day of your submission or when printing your bank statement

This is Really helpful.
Thanks.
This is the third Studapart recommendation I'll be getting, I guess they are the best available.

You are welcome…

So for those still on the process…

I got my student visa last week about 3 days after submission in Abuja and this is my story

I am a first timer, virgin passport holder (yes my old passport got stolen in SA so I basically have no travel history…)

I am a student and applied for a long stay (D) visa

I applied directly to my school and followed the campus France procedure afterwards so all the documents I submitted are as stated in my campus France guide list. I will attach it here

I was given 1 year multiple entry visa.

I used my sister as my sponsor and showed money deposited in my bank account from her.
(615 euros x 12 + some extra very small)

She ISN’T based in France or Nigeria, but also in Europe so CF mandated that she transfers the money into my own account. I mentioned this because it’s a new rule so take note

I also already paid DEPOSIT (first installment of 3) of my tuition

Hope this helps

All the best.

Thank you so much for this.
Any experience/advise for Seloger?

A lot of SCAMMERS on SELOGER!!! I was almost scammed 2weeks ago before submission.

Use studapart, apply to neoresidence in gagny by booking. Their studios are fully funished and seem to be on the high side (the cheap ones are sold out) but you can get CAF if you apply. Book with 300 euros, you get certificate and the contract like in minutes or hours download it use it for your visa, if you still want to stay there afterwards like for the first 3months then do ( I am doing that) or you can cancel after your visa processing when you get to France if you don’t like the place and get refunded!

I hope it helps

Hello all, please I have three names on my international passport, but while filling the french embassy form, there's no place to input my third name. All the document I received from France also have just two names while my documents in Nigeria has three names. Will this affect my application at the embassy in any way?

I already responded to your question on the general France nairaland group. I saw you asked same question there.

Plus, the most difficult part about france is the ACCOMODATION and the need to find a guarantor.

Just use STUDAPART guarantor (149euros or so)

And then book a place on studapart.

On the site if I can still remember it’s written firstname (s) so write Your Firstname and middle name in the same box. Then only your surname on the last name box

For those filling applications for visa, make sure you fill the appropriate office forms. Abuja for Abuja, Lagos for Lagos… and have photocopies of all your documents. Print all your documents before going to VFS… it was damn expensive to print with the guys around vfs… all these is so you don’t have to spend unnecessary money or be stressed on that day.

All the best.

BTW I got my visa (long stay) and it took 3days
Thank you everyone for the tips here and there

Wow. Has it always been like that or just currently?

Well… I am not sure when it changed. I heard that it used to be 2-3weeks before I applied but after my submission it took 3 working days for me and 4 days for my colleagues… but the courier, if you pay for that, may take additional days.

Thanks @Itzocy,

@Fatimar5,
The preconsular interview is mainly for two things.
- To avoid mistakes on your visa submission , they are to make sure your visa checklist and supporting documents are complete, for a smooth visa approval (if an error occurs or a document is missing vfs will not ask you to go back home and bring it)

- To obtain the Campus France certificate: which marks the end of your official business with campus France. A certificate that’s must be provided for Induction,CROUS, CVEC, OFII, CAF, CPAM etc applications in France (get it and take good care)

So, make sure your checklists docs are complete before going,

Go thru your schools website, under Programmes section, where your course outline, prospects and achievables is been summarized, u’ll find a lot of answers

and pls do not denounce, debase or insult Nigeria or Buhari, infact have plans for Nigeria in your questions, even though you may not really

You’ll be good
Itzocy:

***Nothing special about the interview.

The interview is divided into two stages.

The document verification stage and the proper interview stage. Both stages shouldn't be more than 30 minutes to an hour.

Whoever that is going for the interview, shouldn't be scare because it's just a normal interview to discuss your academic and professional development over the years and your plan for the future. Expect questions like.

Tell us about yourself, why the course, why France, what are strength, what do you want to gain from the course, what next after the course and so on.

Merci***

Thank you guys!

How long does the whole process take you starting from the day you applied for admission to the day you are granted admission to the day you were asked for interview up till Visa interview

I applied for the first cycle so I got admission about 3weeks after the deadline.

I got in contact with campus France and got response pretty fast too about a week or so.

But currently still trying to gather documents for my visa (accommodations document actually). I was told I will be notified when to book for my visa interview from mid April onward but I haven’t been so hopefully this may.
I am still trying to get accommodation in Paris (one needs to book 3months apartment for visa) and that hasn’t been easy so far most of them said to contact them around June since resumption is in September…and that’s what has also contributed to delay in my processing.

So far so good it has been straight forward and easy.

Thanks. How did you apply? Did you apply through campus France? I didn't bother to pay the 50k cause those cause I applied last year was too high with tuition. I need cheaper fees

I applied directly to the school but after i submitted my docs I was directed to register on campus France Nigeria ( EEF) so I waited till I was given admission, I and applied as already accepted student on campus France EEF. I still paid the 50k to campus France too after registering for the visa processing.

seniors in the house please respond

please I just got a message to pay the 50k to campus France
the issue is, I didn't see any school that goes below 16k euros. I searched and searched, all schools in Paris goes above that amount but I applied anyways. now my question is this:

I'm I paying the full tuition fee for the year? or in installments?
secondly, can I bring my family to France when admitted?
can I work during my program? what is the post study visa like?, if any, how many years do i get?

please I need an urgent answer to this before i make the deposit

thanks for your reply

16000 euros is a bit high though

I think you should check out some of the grand ecole schools though. I just got admitted to one with 5500 euros per year and paying by installment is allowed.

Well mine was a masters degree

For those interested the second cycle of application is now open

Good morning guys, please do vfs work (lowkey) over the weekend? Also, please I need advise I have been tracking my application and for the past 5 days it's stuck on... Received and under assessment at the SA high commission... But everyone that we submitted together on same day for the same event (though mine was later (after hours) than theirs) got theirs yesterday evening but I didn't. Please does that mean mine won't be granted and please what can I do. My flight is scheduled for Monday afternoon. I am planning to go straight to the vfs centre on Monday morning, would that be a wise decision please? Advise.

Hi Guys,

Please is R850,000 gross salary in cape town a good pay for someone earning N550K net in Nigeria?

Also, which area in cape town has high concentration of Nigerians and what is the average cost of rent per month in such areas.

Thanks.

Converting this to naira using the my recent SA transaction rate that's like earning over 1.8million naira monthly (compared to the #550k). This is a better off sir. Grab it! I advice. Net or no net. Shalom
