well if anybody is applying, First thing u all need to put into consideration are listed below:

1) your acceptance letter. Is it conditional or unconditional?
2) check the school tuition fee with your sponsor status. Using uncle or Aunt is always a major problem for the embassy. The sponsor will be tie to your refusal base on whatever document was submitted. These people are not God but,but they reason the way u & I do. How can someone receiving 150,000 per month with three kids and a wife sponsoring a student abroad? so this is part of what they use in screening. I have been there, done there.
3) you must be able to proof to them that you will return upon completion of your studies. E.g landed property e.t.c
4)Taking the TOEFL or Sat exam is never a problem if the school do not ask that as part of their requirement. Going through that is a waste of money and time. If the college or university ask for this, then go ahead with that. But most schools do ask as part of their requirement.
5) You do not need a new passport. No matter how many times other embassies have rejected or stamp your passport with refusal stamp. You still need to use that same passport. In a legal way,you are only allowed to acquired one passport. That shows the originality in you.
6) Age has nothing to do with the high commission. Even here in Canada, somebody of 50 yrs still attend school and once you are above 65yrs i guess. You are entitle to school for free as senior.
7) If you are sponsoring yourself as a post graduate student. If you think you have what it takes to sponsor yourself. Please do go ahead. There is no crime or law that states that student's would not be able to sponsor their self.

All the above stated point s apply to other school around the world. But some countries have their own specific rules and regulation for international student

Please with reasonable question.
