Vo: turns to me smiling) is that true
Me: I said yes.
Vo: Have you ever applied to any school abroad?
Husb: (shocked!) This is not in his Ds 160. He said yes
VO: which school
Husb : ASU
Vo: which course
Husb: phd in computer science
VO: so why didnt you pursue it?
Husb: I thought of helping my wife so she can achieve her career goal and dreams so I stepped down.
VO: okay
Congratulations I'll be giving you your visa.

Yes I have a study leave letter from my current employer.
So what can I say about my husband travelling with me? Also my husband is sponsoring with the bulk of the deficit, and my dad is gifting me the rest. Can I mention that?
I have account statements for both.

Start with, “as a senior producer at ....Bleep radio station, this course will.......”

Your aim is to drive home the fact that you are a senior producer at a government radio station.

Preparation:

Make sure your husband’s account balance will be able to cover the deficit. VO could request his account statement.

Vo: what do you do in Nigeria

Me: I work as a senior radio producer at one of the federal radio stations in Nigeria.

Vo: why Arizona State University

Me: because, the school is the best in innovation as ranked by US news, innovation which is the bedrock of creativity and content creation is needed in my radio programmes on women empowerment and youth development.

Vo: have you traveled before ?

Me; sure, I have been to Ghana.

Vo: when was that ?

In 2015.
Vo:Who will be sponsoring your education?
Me: The school offered me full tuition fees and my husband will be taking care of the deficit

They were available dates from April may,june
Dates started getting scarce towards June ending so it’s probably your “agent “ who wasn’t serious to pick an earlier date .

I started applying late june, that was when my i20 was approved, and since then none could get a date, after using at least 2 weeks each with it. I'm just tired

What are the documents you submitted for the emergency appointment? If you pick Lagos try change to Abuja.

I have done both.
I submitted my I20, passport details and all I needed to submit yet nothing. I started applying late june. Till now I am still looking for date. Its worrisome

Hello people, what is really happening? I've been applying for dates on the US portal for the past 3 months to no avail. My school resumes tommorow but I was given a month grace, is it because I have dependants with me? I'm tired of searching, I've used about 3 agents to no avail. I applied for emergency date, and it was denied. Nothing is wrong with my documents, I dont know why there are no dates available I'm sincerely frustrated. Please how can I be helped? My present agent has been searching since last week, to no avail.

Please for some of us whose emergency application was denied, please what else can we do? Do we apply for the emergency again or we start steering at dates on the portal.
For me, my school resumes in 2 weeks, what is the next best decision?
