This is not a problem. As advised, create a new account with the same email account but a different username. It will automatically prompt you if you would like to link the old account. It will also help you transfer all info from the previous to the new account. I did it because i faced the same issue last night. I got tired and created a new one and that was how I knew.

Please was your application alone on your old account or you had it with your child's application? If with your child, the new account you created when you linked it, did you find your child's application in the new account along with yours?

I have been trying to link my account but showing "not found", my application was cancelled by ircc and was asked to link and really don't know how to resolve this as I have tried every means and links, so please I don't know if your method above can also work for this situation, as I can only see my child's application but mine was cancelled by ircc mistakenly. Please any suggestion because the cancelled application is even showing "action required" as status update but can't access anything. Thanks
