Hello People,

So i have decided that i want to give back. God has used a lot of people to bless me in this Freelance writing journey and i can't afford to be selfish.

I'm going to give out opportunities to five people who desire to be freelance writers but need to brush up their writing skills. If you don't know how to write or you have never written before, i would teach you how to write superb articles within few minutes.

The training would be for two weeks December 1st - 15th and would be free of charge.

Please, unserious people piss me off so if you don't really need this, don't bother contacting me.

The first five people to contact me on cremeandchic@gmail.com will be enlisted for the training.

Sometimes all we want is fast deals and no work. I know I might be among the few who got their first job within five hours of registering. But I had to do a greater job proving to the guy that I know what I was doing. Infact my first two employers have become permanent that I hardly have time to bid for new jobs. While talking with one of my employer, he said something that marvelled me- he said Nigerian writers are unprofessional and do a lot of shabby jobs that he hardly gives a Nigerian his job. But when he saw the review from my first employer, he knew I must have been very good at what I do.

So we can see where we Nigerians are failing to prove ourselves. It may not be all of us, but the majority is causing us to struggle where we should be leaders. These Indians or Pakistani are not better than us when it comes to English or education, but we keep messing up jobs and we don't know how it affects us as a whole.

So please, let's try and work on ourselves and determine to follow this money making avenue in the right way. Well, the only thing I can say is if anyone needs proofreading of their jobs, bid proposals or jobs (although am currently not doing it now because of some reasons), I can still help in the little way I know how best to do. But please know that I can be 'wicked' when scrutinising people's jobs

In other news, I've read from page 1 to this present post and I've been witnessing testimonies--this was what made me to sign up with freelancer. But my problem is that any time I click on ''bid'' the page keep on showing the same thing. I don't know if it is because I'm using a java phone. Pls I'll be glad if you can bring sunshine on this issue.

Most of them have been done, but would rewrite this on my 2015 diary and start afresh but it is good to have a direction like dis! Happy 2015, may God keep us all alive.

Brother, success has no short cuts. I just concluded a research project for a company in Russia that wants to enter the Nigerian beverage market. The money I made from that project is being used to pay for my mum's house rent of close to 500K. That link was obtained from Freelancer and the best part is that the contact is now permanent. I am helping them with other stuff here which adds to the initial income. You have to work at it. The rewards are endless but you must persevere. Some of the guys you meet on Freelancer have boatloads of money and are looking to spend it on emerging markets. Writing is not the only stuff you can do there.

Oga Stagger, abeg how you take do am. Na this type I dey find Õoooº°˚ ˚°º. Tried getting some for HR but they only interviewed me and didn't get back again. Anyways God dey

To create a new project, scroll up to the top menu, look for "post project" click on it and you can specify the project you want to create, how much you want to pay, time for completion etc. Wish you all the best dearie!

Oga Samplanner, I didn't have any specified amount but the least I was paid was AU$5. But I do more of academic writing and it's a bit tedious, I guess if it was normal articles it be less. Anyways it depends on your bargaining power or what the employer can pay.

Thank you Õoooº°˚ ˚°º , it's all because of u. Infact when I started I put my target at $400/month but I got more than that in 2 weeks wit just only 3 employers (would have been more if one of them paid me, so I didn't count her in). I even took this week off after doing 2 weeks sleepless nite

@favourume sorry for the late response about buying exams with credit. I had to go through the steps again.
1. Hover around Profile tab, from the drop down list click on my rewards.
2. Click Credit shops; you'll see a list of items you can purchase. You can even purchase used up bids.
3. Purchase the exam.
4. Refresh your internet browser.
5. Now click on my rewards. You'll see the exam you just bought at the top right-hand side of page. Click on it to activate it.
6. You can now go over to Exams and take 1 exam for free, depending on the level you bought.

I hope this helps.

still yet to get a single bid on freelancer, but I've already written 4 articles on another site, 2 approved and 2 pending....... freelancer seems too tedious. My broda, e no easy Õoooº°˚ ˚°º . But I must say am enjoying this job. Started on October 22nd and I got my first job that same day. How did I do it, I bidded on a job that the employer needed in 1 hr and it seems like I was the first person to bid, coupled with a good bid proposal I got the job (AU$5) and that was it. I got a 5* and every other doors opened.


Enof of that, what can you write on. I can give you some jobs if they fall within what am looking for.

Yes you can pay with your UBA visa card. But in my case, I only verified my account. Once you get up to 1000 credits, you can buy an exam. That was what I did. Bid, do all the stuffs that will increase your XP and credits, then buy the exam.

How do you do that? I have over 1000 credits

Click on help at the top of the screen, click on support desk, then click on live chat. You can discuss with any of their staff online, they will explain everything to you. You can also contact them anytime you have issues with any freelancer. They will settle it for you or tell you how to go about it.

Please what would you do if you noticed you were charged $5 off your money by Freelancer for hourly rate for a project and

1. The money haven't been released to you

2. The normal charge should have been $1.2 (10%) but you saw $5

Pls how would I recover back my money

@favourume, I feel you. I have experienced this countless times. Most employers think setting milestones equals payment until you begin to remind them. Some disappear after collecting the job only to see notification from freelancer that you sent them a mail. Not to worry, the project will not close until the payment is made. Go to your project page and click on request milestone. A mail will be sent to them to release your milestone. Then continue to send them mail to release the payment. I do it all the time. Freelancing is like any other business. It is like demanding for your money from creditors. Be determined to succeed no matter the odds.

I beg to disagree. It all depends on your skill(s) and the ability to write winning bids. @tooltip started less than 3 weeks ago and he has $300 already. It also depends on your mentality. If you believe it is not easy, it will not be easy. All you need is to be proactive. Look for jobs and place as many bids as you can on daily basis. Success is hardwork, it is NEVER easy. If it is, everyone will be successful today. So, go in there and start bidding!

Yes there is money but the problem is that people won't want to pay. I started last week after reading this page, I got my first job was paid by the employer. Now I have two jobs done worth $67 I have not been paid, although we set milestones but that does not help. Becos it's useless if the essence which is to make money is not happening

Please tell me what to do(pls don't tell me to forget the money), if we have set milestone how can I get the money without having to open dispute. Thank u

In my honest opinion, I think you should let it go. If you worked on the issues your employer made and you are satisfied with your performance, I believe you can open a dispute.
But if the money involved here is not much, let it slip.

Is there nothing one can do, or are we just going to keep letting the money slip or open dispute. because I tink some ppl are just dere to colect work and not pay. What about new ppl coming who may not know that some ppl are like that. Mayb you guys should give us names of ppl not to collect work from. Becos this can really be annoying n frustrating.

I did a work for someone we agreed the amount and I started work, milestone set. After doin the work I even finished bfore the time. I gave her the work only for the person to be saying I did dis one, I did that one. How can I collect my money Õoooº°˚ ˚°º before I swear for person.

Uhmmmmmmmm, na me suppose tell you thank Ladywriter. I have been praying for a job I can do from home as I don't have a job. This is one reason I always check business section of NL. I stumbled on your write-up and unlike me I don't like reading all these kind because they usually sell ebooks, but when I saw the comments I became glued because I like writing, so it wasn't bad doing it. I registered today and Infact I have done my first job ($5), I know it's a stepping stone to a beta home job.
