Religion / Re: Religion And Intelligence by favourwal(f): 10:28am On May 20, 2006
Life i have come to realise,in the short period i have lived,is where people young and old, good or bad, try to always play on each others intelligence mainly, for their own benefits. And the most used facet of life in achieving this deceit is religion.

Anybody that comes with an offer or proposal and tends to put religion as the crux of it without truly showing you what it entails or rewards is merely trying to play on your sentiments and this should cause you to think twice about it.

No doubt religion is good as we are all religious people one way or the other,but it is also of importance to not depend wholly on your five senses for answers to your questions as we are mere mortals and can never understand the heart of men,but to delve into the subconscious, buld your intuition as it is the voice of God within you. Only then will we be able to decode who is who. Remember what Jesus said about false prophets? Be careful my brethren and always listen to the still small voice.
Religion / Re: Christianity: A Religion Or A 'Way Of Life'? by favourwal(f): 10:15am On May 20, 2006
Religion is a way of life . Be it christianity, islam, hindu, buddah.

It is your faith, belief and creed even though sometimes it tends to be dogmatic, and you are not allowed to ask questions or question some things / doctrines of a religion.

But basically it depends on how you want to live your life.

So the choice is yours to make. You want to be for good or evil, free or in bondage? At least we all have a mind or conscience and the five senses especially the hearing ,so he who has ears let him hear.But of utmost importance it is to use our mind,(brain), conscience and decipher certain things for ourself. But always look out for the positive and ask why was life,(even without the modern technology) so much more peaceful and calm for our forefathers and why did they live much longer?

Maybe some of the things we are quick to condemn could go a long way positively in the lives of people.

Think Again.
Romance / Re: Nigerian Girls Like To Mother Their Boyfriends by favourwal(f): 10:37pm On May 19, 2006
Nigerian men actually love to be mothered. So the mothering mentality of the Nigerian girl is a precept of what a man wants based on her relationship with nigerian men.
Fashion / Re: Skirt Or Jeans For A Lady? by favourwal(f): 9:56am On May 18, 2006
both definitely.

there's nothing like a fitted, hip hugging pair of jeans, flarred or pencil, and there is definitely (believe me) nothing like a hot, hip hugging a-line mini or long skirt that swish-swashes as u move.

its da bomb. especially with heels. wow.
Poems For Review / Re: The Widow by favourwal(f): 9:13am On May 17, 2006
THE WIDOW

Alone she walks;
Down the path of parenthood;
Disciplinarian and hosekeeper ;
All in one.

Alone she bears the brunt of illness;
The load of nurse she bears.

Alone she provides;
Food clothng and shelter;
A greater breadwinner you never saw.

Alone she climbs the career path;
A hardworker;
Lifes' experiences has taught her
Not to beg but to work.

Alone she handles the juvenile attitudes;
Teaching, listening, understanding and loving;
Hard and soft all in one.

Alone she attends the school functions;
The school games, dramas and exhibitions;
Cheerleader, educator and supporter.

Alone she trots the path of life;
Strong on the inside;
With hope and determination;
Thankful for today;
And believing in a better tommorrow.

Alone she keeps on keeping on;
Then God surprises her;
He's had a lonely widower all the while
Just keeping on;
And waiting patiently;
For the lonely widow.
Poems For Review / Re: The Widow by favourwal(f): 8:59am On May 17, 2006
Rosby, i love this poem the widow, cos it brings to light the position of some women which is purely circumstancial, especially the non educated women in the society whose non education was also circumstancial bearing in mind the culture of Afica towards women in Education.

I made a draft on THE WIDOW, please read and hope you like it.

Keep up the good poem writing.
