Near unrealistic High Expectations is what most people get disappointed about. It's like you are planning your holiday having browsed through the page of a glossy brochure. It's never always what you think. I've got an American colleague here and he loves it in Australia.

There is a system in place with its faults and shortcomings but it works most times. Heck I'm yet to find a better country that really takes care of it disadvantaged/disabled as much as Australia.

The only is that yeah, things are crazy expensive.
