Sir, let's base our theory in reality. There's a lot to unpack from today's game but there are times during the season when we would not be up to it. Midweek games, tiredness, lethargy, injury to key players, you name it. We would need to grind a result for 3pts. 1 goal might be all that we need.

If you do not have a defence that can guarantee the 3 points from a one goal lead, then your theory falls apart, because it is fundamentally, not based in reality.

You can score 1 and deny your opponent scoring.
