If you ask me, I'd say...

1. Revert back to the "new" way we were playing. i.e 1 touch, pass and move. Those lovely intricate passes. Teams find it hard to deal with.
2. The idea of making Hazard the WPOTY by 2015 should be suspended until we are 15 points clear. He slows down our game. That's a fact. We are far more potent when he releases the ball on time. Just like it used to be.
3. Fabregas is out of pass GAS . Give him some rest. 2 or 3 games will do.
4. Get Boga or Brown in. That might be the tonic the senior players need to sit up.
5. Zouma should play more as a DEFENDER!
6. Costa can't and won't change. He will come good. He should just keep off the "weed"
7. Willian - folks expect him to take on defenders, dribble, etc. - He's never been doing that but I do agree that he can certainly work on that.
8. Matic - the boy should just do his primary job. shield the back 4.
9. Our GKs are good. Some mistakes here and there, but overall, they are very good.
10. Oscar, Ramirez - still can't believe they are Brazilians and yes, a lot of question marks over them.

Finally, I say let's get a win against Southampton and we are good to go. Fast and clinical football. No time for sme sme.

Yes, Hazard does slow the game down sometimes by cutting back on his right foot when he could pass across goal with his left (e.g. for the goal against Man City), but his good decisions far outweigh the times when he does that. Even in yesterdays game, when he did cut back, he still found Ramires and Willian with good passes to score but they fluffed it.

How many good and vital decisions has he made till date? He in most cases ends up losing the ball . oh sorry my bad, earns a free-kick? How many of those do we eventually convert?

PS. I said, Willian is faster thinker on the ball. Not that he makes better decisions. Different things imo.

No person (Fab aside) in that whole team has half the capacity of Hazard's decision making. Do not confuse Hazard's "deliberate slowing down of play/waiting for the best decision" to overall slow decision making. Even the great Ronaldo had moments when he just stood over the ball attempting leg overs and waiting for the best path to open up.

Hazard and speed of thought on the ball are synonymous.

Speed of thought? is to run with the ball, try to take out ALL the defenders? Good. Problem is, it does NOT always work out. Else he should be the assist king on planet earth.

Having "moments" is accepted but not when they hamper your game. Why "deliberately slow" down the game? To allow defenders settle into their position.

Willian is a much thinker on the ball. He makes decision the moment the ball gets to him.

Hazard "slows" the game down. FACT! and that is one KEY aspect he has to work on in his game.

1. Me thinks Hazard WFPOTY - 2020 at the earliest . Playing the way he did last nite was annoying.
Ok, fine, he did set up Da Guvnor (who actually reciprocated in the 2nd half) and sure, he (Eden) got the goal, but mehn, his decision making process (especially when he is on the ball) is like that of a nematode. Slow and disappointing but I have no doubt that he can do better.


2. Zouma isn't quite (and probably will never be) a Matic. He did put in a good shift but that ain't his preferred position.

3. Fabregas was all out of gas yesterday.

4. And of course, TC is the MOTM. Good one on you son.
