From Sam, via text: "Once again Ancelotti's bold tactical move has failed. Cue an admission of guilt and Drogba coming on early in the second half."

1655: I've just had another look at Roman Pavlyuchenko's goal and it appears Jermain Defoe was a whisker offside before he latched on to Benoit Assou-Ekotto's lofted ball over the top. Not by much, but it should have been given. Not much is going Carlo Ancelotti's way at the moment, is it?

I know this won't help but at least. It's good to know. cheesy

Well, we put the ball in the net. Though offside, that's a very good omen.
When last did we put the ball in the net from open play. .?
I think Kalou scored against Newcastle from open play.  cheesy

But how do these teams do it? First and perhaps only chance and bang its a goal.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Tottenham Vs Chelsea [1 - 1] On Sunday 12th 2010 by FBS: 4:48pm On Dec 12, 2010
'I think there is more than one reason,' Ancelotti responded when asked to explain the dip. 'First I think that I can speak about Didier. Didier is not fit 100 percent, he had malaria and this caused fitness problems. He is not quick enough in this moment.
'The second reason is maybe we are too slow to arrive in front, so there is no space to pass the ball to our players. When I say that we play too slow from the back, I think this is one of the reasons we had more difficulties to score, but if we look at the game against Birmingham we had many chances to score but missed the last passes or the shots, so this is maybe the third reason.
'The first is maybe the players are not 100 percent fit, the second is that we played too slow and the third is we need more focus when we shoot.'
-Lotti.

'Obviously Gareth Bale could be a very dangerous player, we have to pay attention, but I don't want to put Ivanovic right-back. Right-back will be Ferreira, obviously we need support from midfielders to control him and we'll try to do this. - Lotti.

This was precisely what I said a few days ago. PF will play at RB but he will need a lot of help from the boys in the middle. Anyone thinking that Lotti will change is only dreaming. cheesy

@FBS. . .

You do realise that one day Drogba will become so shite and we will have to move him on. Well how do we know it hasn't started already? What I am saying is that though Drogba is proven, the persistence with him despite his dwindling form is affecting the team and is hindering chances to other players like Sturridge and Borini who could well be our next Drogbas.
Having said all that, we still support the same goal albeit differing perspectives. It's nice for stability anyway.
One day JT, Lamps, Flo, Nic and co will become shite and we will have to move them. How are we sure this has not also started?
Me thinks Strurridge can't be as good as DD (even though I pray he does)but I get your point . We need someone younger and the earlier they start the better. They need the experience but hey, no coach in his right mind will bench DD. Not even a malariasised DD and not this season. (Heck even PF gets to start, whereas you have a younger player on the bench. Shall we ask Lotti? he should know better, yes?) He is not getting the goals as expected but mind you, he also helps in defense. Sometimes, I think he is taking too much responsibilities. Even when easier options are available and obvious, you see him going for the impossible. This is pressure and it is affecting the whole team.

All we want and desire if for the team to bounce back. How they do this is down to them. But good to know that we are on the same side. The Chelsea side.  grin

BlueDiva:
@nateevs,
Leave Drog alone. . .his form is the reason we won the double.
If he was on form this season, we would have been leading with like 9 pts now.  wink
Thank You!  cheesy

Plus we already know where most of spurs threat will come from and we are eagerly waiting to know how Lotti will address this. This is simple enough for anyone to understand. Technically inept or not.

I rest my case.
