ok guys, (waving a white flag grin)
can we all just focus on tonites match and chip in your predictions? And Yes we all know that Drog was dropped. Any idea of the starting 11? I will like to to see Cuducini in post.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here by FBS: 2:03pm On Jan 14, 2009
@nateevs, Ibime: (hope you don't mind me combining it this way?)

1. Do you think Zola was excellent throughout in his days at chelsea? you think he had no tough times?
2. It is clear you don't like Drog but I do. Now does that make me like Chelsea less?
3. I ask again, when Chelsea lifted the cup with the goal scored by Drog, did you not leap for joy or did you sit and say that because it was Drog, so you will not rejoice?

Looks fellas, this is about the club and not me, not Drog. What I was talking is about his achievement for the club. Yes he has done that much and if LFS says he has to go, then so be it. He has to go but stop making him a scape goat.

Its like some of you don't even understand that some players don't even need to run 90mins on the pitch to prove something: Their presence alone speaks volume.

I beg to dissagree that Drog is the worst player in the squad now? What about Deco, what about ballack? why is everyone picking him out.
When Nik was NOT scoring in big matches, folks were saying he should be dropped and replaced with Drog that he is more of a big game player. He proved that by scoring in the CL a few minutes after coming on and in the game after. Our first home win in a long time. Now he is not performing, you guys are singing another song again?

Looks at these quotes from soccernet blog:
gadjoproject (1/14/2009 at 2:20 PM) I saw footage of Ballack standing around a lot and when he did move, he looked like he was half-assing it. Deco was worse.
ManniKaltz (1/14/2009 at 3:40 PM) To be fair to Drogba, it's not like he was being fed a lot of balls. Deco, Lampard and Ballack especially were ineffective. MUFC snuffed everything in the middle of the pitch. I'm not convinced that Anelka alone would have done much better. And let's face it, Drogba and Anelka will not go back and get the ball like Rooney would.

Ballack should be dropped and Deco has not impressed, and probably sit out. Lampard has proven himself over the years, but he's probably the one most frustrated when he has Deco playing a completely different style and Ballack just doesn't seem to know what to do. It's a shame, Deco and Ballack were outstanding players for Porto/Barcelona and Leverkusen/Bayern respectively. And Deco played many times along Ronaldinho and Iniesta, so he's probably the player on the squad with the best pedigree.

Anyways, Scolari is doing the right thing. Show them who's boss and give players some time to reflect on what they should do. His tactics still don't match Mourinho or even Grant (!). At least Grant knew not to mess up a winning formula.
Now do you think na only una this thing dey pain, who doesnt want his/her club to suceed? The only thing I derive from Chelsea winning is the happiness. Nothing more. I don't work for William Hill.

@Akolawole,
we may have disagreed before I'm with you on this. The season for Chelsea is not over and its ours for the taking.
No player in is right mind will want to go to the pitch and lose a match.

@FBS.

I imagine you calling the customer care office of Glo, demanding to know why the N1,000 credit you loaded on your phone yesterday varnished into thin air. . . and you getting a response from them saying "Na only you dey buy credit". . .

And wait a minute. . why do you care about talking about the match tonight? why do you care about winning ?. . . You don't phocking own the club. . .  do ya?
lol
I don't know if you work for glo or not but how many times glo don chop person credit and you can't do nada about it? That was a joke anyway incase you didnt catch it?

Drog: if you will check again, you will see that I also stated that he sometimes acts like he is not interested and we all know the reason for that. JM left and he is just no longer himself, lack of confidence etc.

He even wrote in his book (or so they said  grin) that he always said he was going to leave chelsea every season but he never did. Some people are just like that. Where were you seasons ago when he was banging in goals? did you or anyone complain? of course not.
Even though he consistently said he was leaving, yet the goals were coming? did ya complain? capital NO. When he scored the only goal and won the FA cup abi was it carling, did you complain?
These are the things you should learn to look at? A player said he was leaving and yet he was delivering the goods? did any of you complain? you know the answer to that.

You don't phucking own no club. You are a supporter of the club and not the other way round.

Of course I care about the match tonight and about winning even if I don't own the club. You don't have to own something to love it. You just do and that is what most of you are missing in your thinking.

And before you attack my knowledge of football. It is not my knowledge of it that makes the support Chelsea, it is my passion for it. And when things go wrong, I don't call for people's to be sold or sacked. I call them to order.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here by FBS: 11:52am On Jan 14, 2009
and to more important topic- How will Chelsea perform tonight? We should have walloped Southend 10-0 in the first leg but that is history now. If Chelsea no win tonight  huh  hmmm, I comment my reserve  grin
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here by FBS: 11:48am On Jan 14, 2009
@nateevs,
na only you dey pay or subscribe?
You want to know my stand on this? How did you feel when folks were calling for the removal of LFS? remind me please what your response was? mind you, he is also getting paid for delivering bad results or isnt he?

Now to Drog, look and read my posts again- I said he is under performing, which is clear for all to see because we all know that he is capable of doing better than that but that does not conote that you should send him packing. The entire squad is NOT performing and that boils down to the manager.

The moral of the story is, if Chelsea wants to sell him let them go ahead, but no one of this forum has the right to demand so (not that RA will listen to you anyway) - reason is simple- You don't phocking own the club.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here by FBS: 11:25am On Jan 14, 2009
@ibime, you don play football before? getting your players accountable? which players? did you buy any? go and sit somewhere my friend and stop acting like you are a PA to RA.
Just remain glued to your TV and stop making erractic comments.

Don't you understand that some players (in fact everyone on earth) needs a little support and confidence from those surrounding them? FYI, this is no big man mentality. He is under performing (because we all realise he could do better) and so is the entire squad. Why is he singled out?

If Chelsea wants to sell Drog, then let them go ahead, its not for you to decide. nonsense.

A: I don't know, there are some things a dog just won't do.

@ FSB
Chelsea is going to be trophyless this season, that much i know, nothing to show for the wasted money ,ugly football and bringing disrepute to the beatifull game called football, What a waste, wait and see, THE END OF THE BLUES!! grin   one single win yes BUT TWO THINGS WILL END THAT, 1. EXIT FROM THE FA CUP  2. EXIT FROM THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE  (juventus will do that) then forget the league, that is beyond chelsea, its all over!! shocked
, some gist for you    grin  grin  grin
A man goes into Heathrow Airport and eventually goes into the departure lounge waiting for his flight home to be called. All around him there are overturned tables, upturned chairs, smashed windows, flight monitors broken and crowd control barriers lying on the floor.
"Christ, what's happened here?" he asks one of the ground crew.
"Oh yeah", he replies "Bloody hopeless ,  we had the Chelsea players in here this morning filming the new Nike ad".

What I cannot understand though is what you are disturbed about? RA selling Chelsea or what? Even if he does, how does that affect you? Are you a shareholder? you are not even a supporter of Chelsea.

One single win is all it takes to turn this season around for Chelsea and don't worry, you don't have to wait for long to see that.

@ switch 47, can't you be sportmanly, just a bit, if the Manchester United players did not laugh in the face of their Chelsea couterparts, if Fergie did not laugh at LPS, THEN ITS CHILDISH FOR YOU TO BE MAKING THOSE SHAMEFUL COMMENTS.

Only those that are chronically insecure will go out to kick a man that is down!

Chelsea were beaten very well by a superior power, but that is not the end of the frigging world if you have been watching soccer. Things like this happens everytime, what of people that got their bleeding arses whacked by the same chelsea 5-0? have they all died? Be real boy!

Just turn of your cold switch.
Invisible, I don't know you but permit me to say this, you talk real sense. That Chelsea lost to Manchester United is not the end of the world. We live to fight another day abi no be so? I support Chelsea anyday anytime.

It aint over yet. look at the bright side, the loss exposed our weaknesses, this was/is already noted! what else are you crying about?

One is certain, things cannot remain this way. NO WAY!!!

It is folks like you that make supporters of other clubs call chelsea fans smelling, because you cannot stand defeat. Let me repeat, its 3 massive point and end of story. Give LFS his chance. He may still come good.
And if you are dissappointed again, you can jump into river thames for all I care.
