spikes C: Can you prove this?
When 1 million students pass JAMB with flying colors, they should be offered admission from the best performing students. Don't decieve yourself, ok. To be qualified, you have to stand out. That is why we have Second class upper and Second class lower. They all passed, but some passed more than the others wink
Are you trying to say nigerian students are bunch of illiterates. what i meant was flying colors to get at least 200

Van snickers: Thank you! Listen Fckyourman, you debate using HARD Facts not conspiracies and hearsay.
First of all don't you think why is it every jamb, there is massive failure. yet you're saying conspiracies not hard facts. Why don't you give hard facts to defend your stand on this point of view.

spikes C: i want to understand how you know this undecided
"After June 1, the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for 2013 would have been over with 1.7million students left alone to jostle for the 520,000 admission spaces in tertiary institutions in Nigeria."(Vanguard 2013)

Okay if 1 million pass jamb with flying colors, how are we suppose to accommodate them despite the space available in universities are 520,000, So Jamb purposely fail almost half of these candidates due to lack of spaces in universities. Do you get it now ?

spikes C: I totally hate this about the reps. Are they trying to say JAMB don't know there job or what. Or that people really didn't fail.
Lets face the fact, most Nigerian students writing JAMB fail because they're supposed to fail. You see people expecting results via text messages. Some writing exam types not giving to them. Some making stupid mistakes in their sheets and even disobeying instructions.

When people fail, they FAILED.

My only advice is to allow resitting of JAMB in a few months after the first one. That way, more people will have opportunity to gain admission.
Jamb is inaccurate when marking scripts, there are using sovient-union machines to mark the results. how on earth do you expect to achieve 100% accuracy, and second these student didnt not fail jamb there are marked wrongly due to lack of university infrastructures.

It shouldn'tt be called baby factor. The place should be called human trafficking since no machinery are involved in producing babies.

dotman: For a young person with ong term plans for the investment, this is the perfect time to enter the market. One of the rules of the game is, buy low sell high. If u have the opportunity and free cash to invest now, i think you should, thats if u dont intend to use the money to pay for house in a year's time or something like that. The market did over 30% last year, and it is likely to do something similar as well this year. Soimagine u invested N100 last year, by this year it would have been N130 ( less transaction cost).

Please note that am nt a trader, i just love to read about finance.
yeah, stock are worthwhile in longterm investments but choosing the right stock is crucial, yes i agree young people should try stock to.

I dont think it's the right time to invest in stocks right now, all the share prices are crashing or the profit margin is really low.
