I would go for either of HP or Dell, reason being their ruggedness and availability of parts, but what I can't guarantee is the battery backup. Although for the new models of both brands the battery backup is good, for old models I can't really vouch for them.

Lenovo is also a good brand, and the battery backup is really great, what I can't vouch is their availability of parts or ruggedness.

Both products are good and rugged, especially the old versions, can't really vouch for the new versions of both products.

Although Dell laptop parts are very expensive. The price of a single Dell battery would get you two HP batteries.

The Dell I'm currently using is not doing bad at 3hrs battery power, Lenovo may boast of 7hrs battery but when you need ruggedness and durability, Dell or HP are the American bullet proofs. Lenovo is Taiwan.
