I have not seen the perennial anti Trump bridge here commenting on the $200B Boeing order.
Their concern is the luxury jet gift , which is ironical because Boeing can't take a newer airframe,retrofit it with security ,comms, chaffs and flares, boardrooms etc for 8 years counting. The gift will be retrofitted to air force one class in less than 2 years.
Boeing last built the 747 airframe in 2022, a freighter cargo plane .

Now that the ME trip has spurred unimaginable economic investment deals the brigade is silent looking for it's next hit pieces.. white south African refugees , etc.Anything to forget the $200B deal plus $1 Trillion investments expected.

Abbott Laboratories
Illinois-based medical device company Abbott Laboratories said in a statement Wednesday that a $500 million investment in manufacturing, research and development capabilities at plants in Illinois and Texas will "go live" by the end of the year. To support the expansion, Abbott plans to hire up to 300 workers across both states.

Apple
Apple in February said that it's committed to spending more than $500 billion on expanding its U.S. manufacturing capabilities over four years.

TSMC
Taiwanese semiconductor maker TSMC in March announced a $165 billion total investment in U.S. manufacturing capabilities. The investment augments an existing $65 billion investment in semiconductor manufacturing operations in Phoenix by $100 billion.

Roche
Swiss pharmaceutical company Roche in April said it's committing $50 billion to growing its U.S. operations.

The funds will go toward building new research and development sites, and expanding existing manufacturing facilities in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and California, the company said on April 21.

Nvidia
Last week, American chip maker Nvidia announced that for this first time in the company's history, it will be manufacturing chips and AI supercomputers in the U.S.

Merck
Drugmaker Merck is investing $1 billion to build a U.S. plant in Delaware. The move comes amid plans by President Trump to impose tariffs on pharmaceuticals, which would include taxes on imported ingredients used drug manufacturing.

IBM
IBM on April 28 pledged to invest $150 billion in U.S. manufacturing over five years. At least $30 million will go toward research and development to further U.S.-based computer manufacturing, the computing giant said

Honda Motor
Honda Motor this week said it is moving production of its Civic Hybrid Hatchback from Japan to the U.S., in the face of a barrage of tariffs by the Trump administration, including a 25% tariff on vehicles and auto parts imported into the U.S.


Hyundai Motor Company
Hyundai in March announced a $21 billion commitment to investing in domestic manufacturing from 2025 to 2028.
As part of that commitment, the company has pledged to put $9 billion toward expanding domestic automobile production to 1.2 million vehicles a year, it said.

Johnson & Johnson
Johnson & Johnson is planning to invest more than $55 billion in new U.S. manufacturing facilities over four years. The investment represents a 25% increase compared with the previous four years, the health care company said in March.

1.) Their view of things is limited by their education and their own mental capacities and so they have inability to think larger about the interconnectedness of the world and its effect to the US's health and economics. Ex. How does cutting off funding to Top Research Universities/Institutions help/hurt the US in a decade.

My understanding of the presidential jet is that Boeing was paid in 2018 to deliver 2 jets ,deliveet for 2024 but will do it on 2027 .
Is he not spiting Boeing ,by giving them the 6th generation fighter jet order but can't deliver a 747 . They are not designing a new aiframe like for the F-47, they have all the details to the diameter of every bolt,nut and bearing.
