I have seen tendering for roads where local companies with only three graders are competing with Chinese having hundreds of graders and with multi million dollar projects completed and backed by huge financial bonds. So the Chinese will.say...you want a railway. Tell us from.what point to what , we'll build it then you can start paying us off after xyz years at this rate. That's the debt trap.

Trump’s tax cuts show lower rates on paper. But he removed virtually all deductions that families use to save on taxes. So while their paper rate is lower, they’re owing more because their taxable income is now higher. The first year after his tax cuts went into play, people were shocked at how much they owed when they filed. Because they read the tax cut part but didn’t read the part where he made it so they couldn’t deduct as they usually would. This was all over the news then. I’m sure you remember.

You’re right individual households’ situations differ. But if there’s something most middle class families have in common, it’s that they have kids, students, home maintenance expenses etc. so giving them a “cut” but removing their deductibles is like giving with one hand and taking with two. And I know he knows this. The only people his tax cuts favored were millionaires/billionaires and corporations who’s rates went from 35% to 21% and now he’s proposing 15% for them.

The $500 tax cut the average person got but ended up owing thousands in back pay means nothing.
