THE IRONY OF LIFE

While some people are praying to God to buy a car this year 2026.

My Number 1 prayer point this year is “Oh Lord I don’t want to buy any car this year”

January 1st this year while I was on a Group video call with my siblings I told them I want y’all to pray for me this way… Oh Lord, “BLIND my eyes from every “FOR SALE” Car this year”. They all laughed and thought I was joking.

Since I came to this country I have been changing cars like clothes, 2025 alone I changed like 10 cars. I’ll buy a car, use it for 2 months and get tired of it and take it back to the dealership to trade it in, and get another one.


When I sat down to do the calculations I have wasted over $40,000 on cars alone, through (Trade-in, down payment, tax, re-finance and negative equity) and it’s really hurting my credit score, with too much hard inquiries. 🤦🏿🙆🏿‍♂️


I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, I don’t club, I don’t give women money, I work very hard but my only problem/sickness and addiction is CARS. Just like the saying goes… something must kill a man lol But To be honest I have really learnt my lesson the hard way.


In fact, I have a friend in Texas, she said “ tell me your home town in Nigeria, maybe na there dem swear for you” 🤣🤣🤣

The one car that hurt me most is the Mercedes Benz GLE 53 AMG Coupe, I said it’s going to be my LAST car. But NO, I got tired of it in 2 months, I remembered I flew to New York and back same day just to go check that car, also drove all the way to Kentucky just to go see another color. Chaiii


The last time I was at the dealership, I jokingly asked the salesman, if there’s a way they could blacklist my name and Social Security number from all car sellers, or put a notice out with my picture not to sell car to this guy. 🤣🤣🤣 because I know almost all the car dealers in my state, I am also a regular customer at the DMV. I swear cars don show me shege banza.


But my eyes don clear now. NO MORE!!!


God help me 🙏


NB: Well this year has already started on a good note, I bought a 2016 Hyundai Tucson in December for $6,000, after two weeks, I sold it on Facebook marketplace for $6,800. I think I might start making back my lost money gradually.

Well maybe I am permitted to buy cars to resell but not to use haha.
