IGBOSON1: Dude, give it a rest.....i know your sort! Your type are the sort Igbo ought to be wary of because your own negative sentiments towards us are subtle, latent and/or couched in language that could lull us into having a false sense of safety around you! Ndigbo encountered and listened to your sort in the months leading up to the uncivil war, and wrongly made decisions and calculations based on preconceived notions they had about you! The discerning will know what i'm on about!
I say you're anti-Igbo based on your hegemonic mind-set, and cunning proposals on how appointments and funds should be allocated amongst the component parts WHICH ALL JOINED A 'INDEPENDENT' NIGERIA AS EQUALS ON 1ST OCT' 1960! The independence constitution agreed upon by the regions that heralded a 'independent' Nigeria DID NOT say one region would receive less appointive positions and funds from the centre because they're smaller in landmass or less populated than the other two! It was YOU (whether by omission or comission) and your northern allies that enthroned the present structure and political-economy we're saddled with....a status-quo that has choked Nigeria from 1970 to date!
Dude, you CAN'T say the injustice was caused by Ndigbo even if you wanted to because it's YOU and your northern allies that fashioned the senseless, uneven, unitary feeding-bottle political-economy and structure Nigeria has been operating from the late 60s to date! You joined the north from 1967-70 to fight Ndigbo/Biafra, sustain 'one Nigeria', and enthrone the same status-quo you're presently moaning about! If you're looking for where to start the blame game start with The Man In The Mirror (apologies to MJ)!
Yes, you're right in saying the south-west produces oil! Yes, you're equally right in saying the old Western Region (that includes present day Edo and Delta states) produced oil that equally contributed in developing the Western Region (specifically Lagos)! At no point did i argue otherwise, though i'm sure those conversant with oil production levels between the Eastern and Western Regions at the time would tell you you're wrong implying both regions were equal in production or that the latter produced more than the former! It's a known fact that fields with the most prolific onshore production levels at the time, pre uncivil war, were located in present day Rivers, Imo, Abia, Bayelsa and Akwa-Ibom states. Let me remind you that my argument isn't that oil production didn't happen in the then Western Region or didn't contribute to the development of the region (specifically Lagos). Rather, my argument is that oil fields located in Igboland at the time contributed, in large part, to providing funds the federal gov't used in developing your Western Region of the time (specifically Lagos)! That is the knob of my argument and the koko of the matter!
Dude, so when i ask you to list out federal gov't funded projects and policy interventions targeted at any city or state in the south-east commensurate or close to what they have done for Lagos (the Lagos you're now claiming today), all you can mention are a few miserable and underfunded federal schools and a couple of pot-hole ridden roads!? Are you kidding me!? In the list of benefits i mentioned earlier that Lagos got courtesy of our commonwealth, i even forgot to add FESTAC TOWN and TRADE FAIR COMPLEX.....you can add that to the list as well! This is what i'm asking you to equally list for any city or state in the south-east, yet all you can come up with are federal schools and bloated salaries of a few greedy and self-centred south-east politicians!? Your ungrateful, self-centred and uncompromising stance is a common trait amongst the Nigerian hegemonic class and a huge part of what's bedevilling Nigeria today!
Pray, on what basis should Oyo and Ogun be 'receiving more for the sake of equity'!? Equity based on what exactly? It's funny yet pathetic at the same time that you, a Yoruba man, want more for your Oyo and Ogun based on 'equity', yet you want the onshore and offshore oil and gas of the Niger-Delta to be owned by the federal gov't just so you can use all sorts of innovative, clever-by-half and cunning schemes like landmass and population to grab a nice large cut for yourselves! As we speak, the Niger-Delta is the most polluted region on earth! But that doesn't concern you enjoying your 'one Nigeria' in Banana Island, Lekki or VI in Lagos.....those problems are detached and far away from you and could be happening in another planet for all you care!
Your argument that littoral states should not be be allowed to own and control the hydrocarbon deposits in their waters is exactly the type of argument i've come to expect from your type! Dude, in a federation, such as the one Nigeria presently purports to operate, IT IS THE COMPONENT PARTS THAT AGREE TO COME TOGETHER TO MAKE THE WHOLE....THE COUNTRY EXISTS ONLY BECAUSE OF THE COMPONENT PARTS THAT CONSTITUTE IT! Arguing otherwise would amount to the tail wagging the dog!
Can't believe you're sitting there telling bold-faced lies about how Mazi Kanu wasn't fighting for Biafra during the GEJ years, and that IPOB haven't taken a definitive stand on secession! Are you for real!? Even with all the cold blood of innocent Biafra/Igbo youth agitators your Buhari gov't has shed?....Even with the millions of dollars your present gov't is spending to try and counter IPOBs narrative in the US Congress and Gov't!?......Even with all this, you sit there and claim IPOB haven't taken a definitive stand on secession!? Have you no shame!? Have you no conscience!? Who's talking of some yeye and diversionary 'state police' when IPOB is talking of secession!? Mazi Kanu is a sincere person, and has only taken the stand he has taken on secession owing to the pharoic, oppressive, unyieding and anti-Igbo mindset of the hegemonic alliance (which became more insidious, sustained and concerted under the demonic Buhari gov't) who have sworn that under their watch Ndigbo will not drink water and drop cup, and that we would continue to be cheated, murdered, marginalised and denied equal status with the hegemonic alliance in Nigeria for as long as said hegemonic alliance rules the roost!
****** ****** ****** Link: https://thesun.ng/nnamdi-kanu-bombs-jonathan/ I told you not to waste your time on him. He has convinced himself so much on his own assumptions based on both envy, prejudice and fear such that he has the effrontery to say Yorubas have more than double the population of Igbos. Prof Akintola of Muric also will never make any comment about the killings of Yorubas in Yorubaland by Fulani terrorists. Finally, no single Yoruba muslim will dare to speak up about the killings of their people. They're still looking for how to spin it around to blame Igbos before they find their voices. IGBOSON1: I really don't know if you're deliberately just being evasive or you genuinely confused and don't know WTF you're supposed to be 'arguing' anymore!
We kicked things off with me telling you your thinking of what constitutes a 'fair' allocation of appointments and funds amongst the regions was not only wicked, but also bore the hallmarks of one having a misplaced sense of entitlement and superiority over others! Can't say i'm surprised at your 'arguments' on the issue thus far! The surprise would have been if you argued on the side of justice and fairness, because that would run counter to all your hegemonic and anti-Igbo instincts. The structure and political-economy you and your northern partners enthroned in Nigeria after the counter-coup of 1966 was the beginning of the daylight robbery and display of avarice, as it was during this period a decision was made to appropriate ownership and control of the regional hydrocarbon deposits to the centre....and allocations to the regions would henceforth be determined by the centre and based on useless landmass and ojoro population! Now, at no point, not even with all the unitary constitutions you subsequently churned out, was there a understanding that the component parts (then regions and now states) would have the number of their representatives and appointees to the centre determined based on population or landmass! We are all now working with a structure, political-economy and constitution that YOU fashioned for the rest of us! You can't just wake up one morning and feel the urge to change the same 'rules' YOU initially set for the rest of us.....which we've all now been operating for decades! You can't tweak the rules decades later just because you want to grab a bit more resources and opportunities to your region and just because you want to cheat Ndigbo and show them a bit more pepper!
And why should we limit the discussion to 'south-west and south-east' when there are proud Igbo like me from the south-south whose resources you have equally used to fix up your region and yet shown me nothing but ingratitude and hatred in return!? Dude, we're talking about the resources of Ndigbo, not just the south-east, being used to develop your region FROM THE 60S TO DATE! Where did you think all that money Gowon and subsequent military despots used to fix up your region (with particular emphasis on Lagos) came from?.....The money that caused Gowon to declare that 'Nigerias' problem wasn't money, but what to do with it'!.....The money that helped build all those structures in Lagos that i referenced in my last post and helped finance the cement armada!? You think it was cocoa mony that did all that!? What jumps out from all this back-and-forth i'm having with you is just how ungrateful and hateful Nigerians with a hegemonic mindset can be! They feel they own the country, and that the rest of us exist just for their pleasure! We all saw this type of mindset with Buhari, and we're seeing it subsist with the present emilokan mob that took over from him!
This talk about you threatening to shut down port operations in Lagos is hilarious! Whatever is annoying you over Lagos ports is the result of your being clever-by-half and scheming over the past decades to ensure almost everything that makes a nation and generates wealth is sited in Lagos! You're in no position to complain about anything because it's all of your making! In any case, you can't equate whatever 'inconveniences' brought about by the man-made problem of siting Apapa and Tincan Island ports in Lagos......you can't compare that with the real and life-threatening problems faced by oil bearing communities in the Nigeri-Delta! There's is caused by the Nigerian state, and for decades they've been telling this same greedy Nigerian state to hands off and leave their oyel and gas for them, but their protestations continue to fall on deaf ears!
Can you mention some of the federal projects in the south-east?....Projects commensurate with or close to what's been done in and for your own region?
I'll tell you hear and now that the Yoruba are generally not interested in leaving 'one Nigeria', so just quit with the pretence! Your brother Igboho, who was once the poster child for secession and the realisation of Oduduwa Republic, is now singing 'on your mandate we shall stand' with gusto, and is too busy chopping from the high table of to care anymore about anything secession or Oduduwa! Probably after Tinubu has left the scene, he'll pick up the 'agitation' from where he left off! You've presented your points exhaustively and convincingly but he will never agree to them owing to his peculiar bias about the SE and Ndigbo in general. This guy really believes Yorubas are more than twice the population of Ndigbo. Is this the type of person to continue dragging fairness and equitable or proportional sharing of ministerial appointments with? You'll be wasting your time. From my experience with him, the only point of agreement with him is the need for the division of Nigeria irrespective of how we got to that point. |

The IPOB supporters and some other southern youths sometimes treat these mishaps as comic relief, without realising that the insurgency trends in Bornu and the North West are an international trend.
If this tide is not turned in the North where it is now, it will one day cross the Niger/Benue in full force. This surge of islamic militancy from the Sahel is a clear and present danger to every Nigerian irrespective of where you live. In fact, even if Nigeria disintegrated tomorrow into its ethnic components as some would like, those smaller ethnic nations would still need to fight this insurgency. Simply because this insurgency is trans national affecting every country from Mali, to Niger, to Burkina Faso etc.
Let our people, especially the youth be careful what they wish for / encourage through their utterances! Stick to a particular point and let's trash it exactly before moving to another one. Here are the three arguments you're peddling and mixing up to promote your bigotry. Choose one and let's bring out our proofs to prove who is correct. 1. Ironsi making Ojukwu the military governor of the Eastern region when. Your argument is that it showed Ironsi and the entire Igbos as tribalistic people. 2. Ironsi's emergence as the GOC of the Nigerian Army in 1965 instead of Wellington Bassey was the handwork of Nnamdi Azikiwe. Your argument is that Azikiwe single handedly made Ironsi head of the Army because he was a tribalist and ensured Wellington Bassey, his 'senior' was chosen. 3. Wellington Bassey was a better soldier and more decorated than Ironsi. Your argument us that he deserved to be the first GOC of the Nigerian Army because he merited it but was denied it by Nnamdi Azikiwe and his bigoted Igbo people. I challenge you to choose one of these points and bring your proofs while I bring my proofs to affirm my stand that fairness was exercised in all the outcomes of those historical events. For a start, a challenge you to mention just one military operation or mission that Wellington Bassey led in the history of the Nigerian Army. ENSURE TO PROVIDE A VERIFIABLE PROOF ON IT. |

SisterAnn: Before this thread is deleted and creator banned for 8,709 years..
Permit me to pen down my deepest gut feeling about the purpoted procurement of the highly lethal banned substance called thallium by the ONSA.
This dangerous substance is not a tool for fighting the terrorists ravaging the country with terror, this is true because it's administration on an intended target can only be when in close proximity to the target.
Then, you could administer it to them by poisoning their food or drink or body cream or in conjunction with gaseous emissions.
Now, this substance also have other uses aside being a chemical weapon of sort, but it was still banned by many countries despite it other uses which includ but not limited to rodenticidinals and certain other manufacturing uses.
None of the other uses of this banned lethal substance falls within the purview or portfolio of the ONSA's office.
The question on every lips therefore is, why did the ONSA procure or plan to procure this very dangerous substance into our country?
Let's us note that El Rufai (warts and all), as a bonafide citizen of the federal republic of Nigeria, under the FOI bill, has every right, infact, his rights here are inalienable, to ask questions from relevant authorities, about the movement of such a dangerous substance into the country, and about the motive behind it if he has information on such activity.
The substance is a banned substance, the substance is on record to have been notoriously deployed by some countries in the past as a chemical weapon against political opposition elements, El Rufai is a notable opposition element.
This notorious poison is said not to result in instant death but gradually tears it's victim down, thereby having the tendency obliterate the trail of the administrator or it's timeline.
This substance, is also reputed to be difficult to trace in an autopsy (?).
So what does the government of the day want with this odourless, tasteless poisonous crystal ?
There's no smoke without fire, why should such an accusation, suspicions or request be even made by a citizen from the ONSA?
We demand an explanation from the office of the ONSA.
We demand from El Rufai to shed more light about the veracity of his claim.
This matter calls for serious concern from every sane Nigerian no matter their political or religious divide!
I, as an opposition element is particularly worried that the government of the day has planted moles everywhere in the opposition camp and the second phase of their plans could be to begin to take out key opposition figures in the most subtle way possible, quietly and without trace.
It's public knowledge that king bulaba is affiliated to the Mafia, the Mafia is a ruthless entity!
I am also concerned that a prisoner of conscience in person of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu could be on the list. The enemies of Ndigbo..the known enemies, the haters for no just cause other than a superiority or inferiority complex or both, may target Mazi Nnamdi Kanu for elimation in order to incite and elicit a ferocious response from his already angry die hard supporters, whose actions government of the day will now rely on to move in to completely destroy Igboland. The north is already on its knees brought down by islamists, if the South East is also destroyed, the SW will demand for independence from the torn entity in order to quickly consolidate their gains arising from the desecration of the other regions. THIS IS ONE OF THE WAYS SUPER POWERS ARE BORN.
However, all what I wrote above could just be me thinking ahead of my time or even above my pay grade, or just overthinking things, we live in very dangerous times in this country and nobody can be too sure.
Okay, suppose, this dangerous substance is meant to target people in government?
We recall that the failed coup plotters allegedly started plotting from the office of the ONSA. And one of their key objectives as we read was to eliminate king bulaba and his princes.
Now, this so called coup plot didn't achieve desired results, foiled and perpetrators are still under detention.
Suppose someone in the office of the ONSA (once again) is bringing in this banned lethal substance to finish what the coup plotters couldn't achieve?
If the FBI or CIA is exposed as procuring or have procured this thallium into America without the exclusive knowledge of POTUS, there's no doubt POTUS should be sufficiently disturbed. Very true. Nothing should be left to chance. |

The Nigerian people are the most gullible people on earth. If not, why will anyone in this information age be ecstatic over the UAE government pledging to invest billions of dollars in their country? Before signing anything with them, why not do a simple investigation about their prior investments in countries within your geopolitical region so to see how all have ended?
Let's go straight to the point. The UAE was rejected and pushed out of Somalia last month I.e January 2026. Their first partnership started in 2013-14 which promises a lot of military personnel trainings, economic benefits and assistance in fighting off pirates in the gulf of Aden. Of course, such agreements are termed bilateral but only those of the weaker countries are highlighted. One will assume that all will go well between them since both are complete muslim countries with 99% Muslim populations. Alas, it didn't go well over the years as Somalia just terminated the security and defense agreements and expelled the UAE ambassador after recalling theirs. They finally have seen exactly what UAE wants to benefit from the agreement which wasn't obvious in the beginning. Many things happened between 2013 to 2026 which Somalia noted over time to conclude that whatever UAE had in mind wasn't for their own good. Does the Nigerian government care about the main interest of the UAE in this move? Certainly not! Do they care about what it will imply for the average people of Nigeria? Of course not.
The second case is that of the ongoing genocide of non-Arab population of Sudan and how the UAE is heavily enabling it. The are the chief country arming the RSF that is carrying out genocide of the black African populations in the Darfur region of Sudan. These black populations are Muslims too just like them but of course, they're not Arabs or Arab wannabe. Black populations in Nigeria should already have noted if such will be possible in the country. The same thing just happened in Wuro, Kaiama area of Niger state where Muslim populations were slaughtered by Islamic terrorists groups because they didn't buy into the radical Islam being promoted by powers that be in Niger. The UAE coming officially into Nigeria will increase such occurrence in exponential rate.
