This ridiculously colorful. These buildings are owned by people.
If someone is sane enough to paint their houses with these colors, then, I see no problem with the make-up our ladies wear these days. |

impactz: This or right. and that's a huge problem with Graphic designers... Most of them hardly ask what do you want? but then come Clients can be funny. when you ask them what they want their reply would be You should know what I want. Still I think its right to ask. thanks man. Well, understanding what thay need is very necessary. The problem is that some designers don't know how to put it to get the client talking. Once you work it out, getting the necessary info won't be a problem. |

Art, Graphics & Video › Are Low Budget Clients Worth It? by felixchip(op): 1:53pm On Jun 26, 2015 |
You may or may not have asked yourself this question but chances are the answer effects how you run your business and how you deal with your clients. As a freelance designer, I am never far from low budget clients because they can be the difference between success and failure, for my business. Unfortunately, in many cases a low budget client can be the first to go when a firm attains loftier positions. This can be a problem for both the designer and the client. For the designer, it is never a good idea to remove their foundation, despite the urge to abandon your less desirable clients. It would be much wiser to either put in the extra effort or find a competent designer who you can sub-contract to. By maintaining your clients, you ensure that there will be a fallback plan for you in the case of any dry spells or complications; as well it serves to endorse designers as those who understand and practice proper design ethics with their clients. You must remember that word of mouth tends to work a lot faster when the 'mouth' has something bad to say. Worse yet, one designer's mistake can easily end up being all designers' mistakes, as far as the client is concerned and they will likely give the next person down the line a harder time. The secret to keeping clients with small projects and small wallets is not to provide less design but to be more thorough in the preliminary meetings. Don't be shy to ask what their budget is and when they expect the end product. Without any indication as to budget and time-line you're flying blind and this can cost you and the client money. The more specific you are, from the get go, the more efficient you will be and the more cost effective it will be to keep these clients. In the case that you absolutely have no time for your smaller clients, don't blow them off. Begin slowly by subcontracting your undesirable projects to a fellow designer, who could use the leg up, and then finalize the shift by introducing the client to the designer and inform the client that you highly recommend them to take over in your stead. The end result will leave the client feeling that you cared enough to find someone else for them and they may mention this to a potential client, who's wallet may be a bit bigger! Dealday me be in ur niche already Well, we have not looked at Dealdey. But, from all indications, it seems working on commission is better. |

pneumaticos: I dont really know this business but going the commision way to paid will surely pay,but definately on the long run,...the online businesspher in nigeria may not give u the luxury of the big cash for adverts to get the business to be listed the notion that you are so big and cant run away with their ""5000"" subscribtion on your platform Can you explain a bit further. |
Business › Re: Problem With My Startup by felixchip(op): 6:25pm On Jun 25, 2015 |
pneumaticos: Another thought is ,if each prospective customer to the business listed will contact your startup by phone (a kind of support line) first before getting to the listed business,
Or take a survey in 3 states around southwest to confirm your stand Bet me, your comments are awesome. We are not actually looking at basing our revenue on adverts. It's just a part of it. Thank you very much. |
Business › Re: Problem With My Startup by felixchip(op): 5:40pm On Jun 25, 2015 |
grownaira: The following steps might lead u to success:
1. Invest in publicising your start up very well
2. Allow businesses/clients to register for free (for probably six to twelve months) without charging them a kobo even on commission.
3. With good traffic on ur site, u can start generating little revenue via adsence, selling ad spaces etc.
4. After the 6to12 months, you can then charge ur clients commission on sales plus annual or monthly rent fees for using the site. With my idea: Businesses will register free of cost. But, will have to pay a commission on every customer we send to them. We're working on building strong relationship with people/businesses that will help us get to our target market. Do you actually think that asking for a subscription fee and commission on each customer from businesses will work out? Won't it be too much? 'Cause we want to give them reasons to do business with us. |
Business › Re: Problem With My Startup by felixchip(op): 5:29pm On Jun 25, 2015 |
pneumaticos: You r take on it will work well than that of your friend, since you will be providing a service and not really buying any physical stuff that will cost you money, its better you go the commission way,
But if the service cannot be fully provided by the platform built by you guys Then your friends suggestion will work better
If i were the one i would test the waters with your friend idea to see if we could pull in some cash, though this is highly dependent on the demography of your customers, If you cistomer are the common people on the Well, the main target is women. And he was saying that getting them to make payments online may be difficult. That, I understand. But, we were to include an option that allow users pay after receiving the services. His problem was that some businesses may fail to admit that we sent them customers after they must have collect their payment. Then, I suggested that we keep in touch with the users after booking for a service and provide an option on the "account profile" where the user can mark a booking/service complete and rate the business after receiving the booked service(s) from the business. This will help us to know when they've paid the business. But, he was saying that users won't have time to rate and mark bookings "Complete". That's the problem. |
