The recent policy initiated by school management under the leadership
of prof. Ndowale Lale that a student will loose a full session if he/she
fails to pay his/her fees before the 1st semester exam is quite
outrageous and barbaric considering the recent economic situation in the
country.
Also since the school fees is for the session i don't see any why the
deadline should before the 1st semester exam. If their is to be any
deadline at all it should be on or before the 2nd semester exam.
But NO TO DEADLINE after all every student must pay every outstanding
fee before he/she will be allowed to graduate from the school.
Furthermore this recent policy is uncalled for and inhumane not long
after the previous administration under the leadership of prof. Ajienka
increased the fees to #45,000.
UNIPORT is the highest paying federal university in Nigeria twice the fees
of UNIBEN,UNN etc.
Just imagine a final year student loosing a full session thereby having an
automatic extra year just because in his final year he was unable to his
fees before his 1st semester exam.
Just imagine the students who are training themselves in school loosing
a session because of a callous policy.
Just Imagine parents who have been retrenched from work hearing that
there children or wards are to loose a session because of the recent
twist in economic level of the family.
Now the President Of the Faculty of Management has been shot dead...
