Corolla is better because of it's higher ground clearance than civic and greater horsepower. The only problem with Corolla is security. It's prone to theft in unsecured locations. But this can be managed by installing security features.

Go for the Honda Civic because it surpasses the corolla in many aspects.

Just that its resale value is not like that of the corolla.



This is the mistake most Nigerians make.

All Hondas don't have the leg pull issue, and Honda civic doesn't pull legs. But, say, Honda accords from 2003 to 2008 had the issue that often happens due to poor maintenance of Nigerians plus our bad roads.

They fixed the issue in higher models of Honda accords.

I just sold my big daddy 2003. I was using it for Bolt. But I fell in love with the 2008 Corolla. I've been sourcing for a good Nigerian used one online and that's how I stumbled on this thread. Now you guys have successfully made me change my mind about the 08 Corolla. I'm now thinking of getting a 2009 Civic.

Talking about Corolla being a thief magnet, biko is the 08 Corolla also prone to that? (cos I was thinking its common with the 03 and 05)

And about the 09 Civic, is it fuel economical and rugged (for Bolt driving) like the lower versions??

Please I need your candid advice on this. I've never driven Honda before but I have a very good friend that is sooooo much in love with Honda and can never use Toyota. And cos of that, I've been considering it too.

2005 Toyota Camry (XLE); and
