Nope. I don't do (anything) hybrid. Same way I wouldn't buy a Tv just because it's got an inBuilt DvD player even if na bluRay.

Also, it's my first time using an unKnown brand for personal use. For clients, I use mostly Felicity and whatever they provide or their max budget gets BUT for my personal use, I prefer rugged premium offerings which epEver has always been including being Cheapest among comparative ones. Just that nowAdays, what's usually cheap, is now expensive. Buying it used anyways at a somewhat steal price
Okay, can see you are into solar installation so its easy for you not to use hybrid, unlike us.

My current ac is a 1hp non inverter AC. As much as I know that my 5kva can power it, I didn't bother adding it
Have you solved the error code issue between the inverter and your battery?

Make the panels 6 to cater for the moon days like @Fremlin will say.
Ok thanks

Yayy the lvtopsun gang . It's a great battery and both inverter choices are good as they can both communicate with the battery. Id stick with a 5kva 48v personally Incase your load increases tomorrow
Oh thanks Collione, i appreciate, so the lvtopsun inverter over the growatt inverter.

And by the way you bought your battery, panels and inverter yourself right? Because thats what i am planning to do tomorrow, then allow the installers get the remaining materials and install.

By the way why did you not buy the lvtopsun inverter when you bought the battery? @cc Collione

Don't even think Tubular.
Please don't even let the thought infiltrate.
The mathematics of 5kwh vs 220ah x 4 with 50% DOD is not worth the stress Tubular will give you.
All the Lithium batteries that you are eyeing will give you a minimum of 5 years, even with 80% DOD, you are still looking at about 7-8 years of ownership. At 50% DOD on Tubular if you get 4 years, you must have gotten premium batteries, or have been meticulous with your 3 months maintenance, using actual distilled water.
Just don't let the thought creep in at all.
Ok thanks for the candid advice, tubular erased from my mind lol, i will get the 5kwh 48v lvtopsun lithium battery tomorrow and then get either the lvtopsun 5kva 48v inverter or the Growatt 3.5kva 48v or 5kva 48v inverter.

So please will 4 panels of 550 or 605 watts be okay for the setup? Thank you.

dem use una dey do engagement so as to earn foreign currency. Doubt the entire crowd on that your tikTok didn't think to calculate the KWH equivalent of lithium battery.
MoreOver, comparing 2 entirely different battery chemistry, is like comparing Apples to Oranges. The way and manner you discharge Lithium, ain't same to leadAcid batteries
Yeah i know most of them there are out for content to make money too, but you did not still give an answer at the end my friend, will appreciate one.

From where did you get Deye 5kwh for 1.1m when fouani still sells for 1.3m
Their dealer in Abuja, Electrosun solar ltd.
As at two weeks ago when i asked for the price it was 1.3m, then last week when i asked again they said it was 1.1m, i was even alarmed, but the guy said they had a price review. And as for fouani you know those guys love been exorbitant with their prices all the time

And please can the 5kwh true rated lithium battery carry a freezer of around 100 watts to 110watts over night when fully charged?
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by FerrariBaron(f): 3:25pm On Aug 02, 2025
On tiktok there is an on going war and confusion on number of tubular batteries equivalent to lithium battery.

Please from the professionals here, is 5kwh lithium battery equivalent to 2 or 4 tubular batteries of 220ah?

Where are you getting your prospective prices from?
From major dealers of the products obviously, not alaba or roadside vendors
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by FerrariBaron(f): 10:05pm On Aug 01, 2025
Please guys, i was uncertain which 5kwh to go for between:
* Deye 5kwh 48v rack mounted which i saw for 1.1m.
* TBB 5kwh 48v which i saw for 1.15m
* Lvtopsun which i saw someone on tiktok carry out a capacity test and it did well.

I was also thinking of settling for the 5kwh 48v lvtopsun lithium battery, but i dont know if the lvtopsun inverter is good which i was going to settle for the 5kwh 48v because its around the same price with the growatt 3.6kwh 48v, or if it is advisable to settle for the growatt 3.6kva 48v, but any professional input from the group is welcome.

And please how many panels of around 550 watts will be right for the setup?

Thanks for your input guys, i am now conversant with the HF and LF inverter.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by FerrariBaron(f): 6:57pm On Jul 30, 2025
Please i keep seeing HF and LF inverters. How will someone know which products are HF or LF inverters?

Or hybrid inverters are not classified as either HF or LF?

Case by case basis on communication. I don't know what protocol Bread uses.

2000w is passable. You can survive on it but you're probably best served going up to 3000w.
Ok thanks, please i just confirmed the battery has no communication port, but it has the usual inbuilt bms.

Pls is the no communication port going to be an issue or its something that can work like that? Thanks

Bread without a doubt.
Thank you very much for your response.

I wanted to buy same battery and inverter, but since you that is experienced said the bread battery is okay, i read on this thread that their inverter is noisy and all that.

So please what inverter brand will comminicate well with the bread battery.

And will 4 true rated 450 to 500 watts panels be okay for the 3kva inverter and 5kwh battery set up?
Thank you very much

Buy the biggest battery you can.

Mrreed, Valto, Haisic all sell affordable batteries.

If you have to choose between the two listed, definitely the 5kwh from Bread. Buy directly from their store if possible and ask any questions before buying.

Please my fellow lithium enthusiast, between a SRNE 2.56kwh 24 lithium battery and a Bread 5kwh 24v lithium battery, which should i go for since they are both within my budget. I dont know if the SRNE and the Bread lithium battery have smart BMS.

The total watts i want to use the system for is below 700 watts, thank you
