KlipNetLine reports that this is CONTRARY to the news making round that mutilated notes collection would stop after the deadline . The Director , CBN Corporate Communications, Mr Isaac Okoroafor said that people had been misinterpreting the story to say that the banks would stop the collection of mutilated notes after September 2 . “ It is not true, the banks will continue to accept those notes from people . “ The general public should continue to return mutilated banknotes to their banks after the deadline . “ The September 2 , 2019 deadline does not apply to bank customers or the general public , who will continue to return mutilated notes to the banks . “ It only applies to the banks because free sorting of Naira notes for them will cease at the expiration of that deadline , ” Okoroafor said . He noted that September 2 was only the deadline after which CBN would begin to charge banks . Okoroafor said that “ We opened a window from June to September , so that when they bring the notes without sorting , we can sort it for them free . “But as from September 2 , if they get those notes , they need to sort it before they bring it to us . “ The deposit by customers and acceptance by commercial banks of mutilated notes is a normal and continuous banking practice and as such continues even after September 2 . “ Anyone whose qualifying mutilated note is rejected by any bank should report such a bank to CBN by calling 07002255226 between 9 : 00 a . m . and 4 : 00 p. m . daily , ” he said . On banks compliance level to the CBN mutilated notes directive , Okoroafor said , “ I wouldn’ t know what the compliance level is now until we ask our currency people . “ But all we know is that they are returning the notes , they have been bringing it in and we have been replacing it with new ones , ” he told NAN . ➖➖➖➖➖➖ KlipNetLine |

◾We decided to kill 50 people for every slain herdsman–Head of Zamfara bandits who renounced violence◾ ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Group Link: https:///Eq4wBWRNz8q58TKSH4stFE ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Hassan Dantawaye is the commander of bandits who recently renounced violence following peace talks in Zamfara State. The bandits , who are Fulani herdsmen , had been engaged in killing, kidnapping and other crimes, which they blamed on cattle rustling and harassment by security agencies and local vigilance group . Dantawaye tells MAIHARAJI ALTINE about the peace initiative and some of the atrocities they had committed. He also spoke on how they resolved to kill at least 50 people whenever one of them was killed. According to him "we faced serious harassment and intimidation from the security personnel and the vigilance group, a factor that further worsened the security situation in the state . The security agents , particularly the police , have been levying charges on our people . They had been collecting money from us unnecessarily simply because both the government and society consider every Fulani man as a criminal . When the ban on the sale of cattle was imposed by the state government , the police took advantage of that to extort money from even genuine Fulani people who own animals, whenever they see them . This issue seriously aggravated the insecurity problems in the state ." "The vigilance group and Yan Sakai have also contributed to the insecurity issue considering their negative attitude towards the Fulani people . These two groups have turned themselves into groups that are licensed to kill . They killed any Fulani man they perceived as a bandit or cattle rustler and the government did not take any serious action to stop the menace . Many of our people were killed by these people . After realising that the government was not ready to stop the killing of our people by these two groups , we decided to pay back with reprisals . From that day, we decided to kill at least 50 people whenever one of us was killed ." ◾NASU, SSANU begin five-day warning strike Monday◾ ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Group Invite Link: https:///Eq4wBWRNz8q58TKSH4stFE ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Non - Academic Staff Union of Universities and Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities will begin a five -day warning strike from Monday , August 19, following alleged delay of the Federal Government in addressing their grievances. One of the contentious areas is the Earned Allowances which the non - teaching staff unions claimed they were shortchanged in the sharing formula . They said that out of the N 23 billion released to the four unions in the university , the Academic Staff Union of Universities allegedly took over about eighty per cent of the money , leaving only twenty per cent for the three unions . They also lamented the inability of government to obey court judgment , especially the judgment of the Industrial Court in 2016 that directed government to reinstate sacked workers of Staff Schools , which had not been complied with and the re - negotiation of the 2009 agreement . The National Public Relations Officer of SSANU , Mr Salaam Abdussobur , in a statement on Friday, said “ Based on poor response from the federal government , it is inevitable that a one - week strike action shall be held as from Monday 19th to Friday 23 rd August . This is following the expiration of the 14 days ultimatum given to the Federal Government . “ We met with officials of the Federal Ministry of Education led by the Permanent Secretary last week . While the meeting appeared successful on its face value , the resolutions are yet to be backed up by any correspondence or digest as agreed at the meeting “ This is not the first time that meetings would be held and we will take them by their words only to be disappointed by their actions . “ Our members , being our principals , have contended that for all decisions reached with government , there must be a level of corresponding actions that show their sincerity and commitment to those decisions . If the actions do not correspond , we must continue with our agitations . “ So , a five - day warning , being part of the activities lined up in our agitations, have been resolved to proceed between 19th to 23rd . “ After the warning strike , another review shall be made which will determine the way forward , ” he said . ➖➖➖➖➖➖ Credits @Punch ➖➖➖ @KlipNetLine |

Miss Targba lost her father at the age of five and her young mother immediately re- married another man. Attempt by Miss Targba to co- habitate with her stepfather and mother ended in fiasco as she was severely maltreated beyond description, while her mother could not protect her . When the suffering became unbearable, Miss Targba had no choice than to wonder into the streets of North Bank area of Makurdi, the capital city of Benue, where she begged from house to house looking for daily bread. The Nation gathered from some of her close relations that some times she slept with people just to feed her self . Finally, she met a "17/18" year-old boy, Terna Tags, a Senior Secondary School 1 student in Nassarawa state in December last year, who had sex with her and got her pregnant at the age of 10 . The matter would have been swept under the carpet but when it became clear that Miss Targba was in a painful labour, her neighbour’s became afraid, thinking that she may die, they immediately took her to General hospital in North Bank and disappeared. The general hospital staff raised alarm . Some one posted her condition on Facebook and a Social Media Activist and Humanitarian, Ukan Kurugh saw the post and followed it up by moving the girl to a more standard private hospital called Foundation Hospital in Makurdi. There was an uproar as the man who impregnated her was no where to be found, but police launched a manhunt and he was arrested and detained at by CID at the State Police Command Headquarters in Makurdi.
