46 year old Usman Hammed of Agiliti, Mile 12 area of Lagos has being arraigned for allegedly assaulting one Josephine Durodola, his landay over matters of electricity bill.


Appearing before the Ogudu Chief Magistrate court, the prosecutor, Inspector Donjor Perezi narrated that the tenant, Mr Usman assaulted her landlady when he was approached for payment of electricity bill at around 9 pm on 8th, April 2023.

He revealed further that the assault led to the landlady being hospitalised after hitting her head on the iron gate.

The prosecutor held that the offence contravened section 173 of the Lagos state criminal law but the defendant pleaded not guilty..

The Magistrate granted the defendant bail and adjourned the case till 16th May for mention.
