PoliticsPoverty Alleviation Strategies In Nigeria by FinestPINACLE(op): 6:09pm On Jul 04, 2016
Poverty is a pronounced deprivation in wellbeing. It is general scarcity, dearth, famine or the state of one who lacks a certain amount of material possessions or money. It is a multifaceted concept which includes social, economic and political elements.
In Nigeria, the poverty alleviation measures implemented so far have focused more on growth, basic needs and rural development approaches. Below are the possible strategies for the alleviation of poverty that should be concentrated on:
*Income and economic assests.
*Education and skills.
*Housing and surrounding.
*Access to health care.
*Access to other basic services.
*gender equality.
*Personal resourcefulness and leadership abilities etc.
There are several fundamental proposals for restructuring existing economic change. International organisations such as Global Solidarity Network are working to eradicate poverty worldwide with intervention in the areas of housing, food, education, basic health, agricultural inputs etc.... We hope that poverty will soon be eradicated in our country Nigeria.
