As many of us know what Part time degree programme means. when full time student will be spending 4 years for a course, part time will be spending additional 1 year to the 4 years. Not all universities are accredited to run a Part time degree programme but Uniosun is one of the universities privileged to run a part time programme. This programme is becoming more popular as student are opting for it due to inability to gain admission through jamb and post utme. UNIOSUN part time programme is good but I will like DE candidates to go for it cos gaining admission through DE in UNIOSUN is difficult cos its their ijmb student they will admit and few external DE candidates. The 2017/2018 form should be out by august. |

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has denied announcing of the 2017 change of course/change of institution procedure for the just concluded UTME. This announcement came after a large crowd stormed the Ikoyi, Lagos office of JAMB, claiming that JAMB closed the portal to Accredited CBT Centres because they were extorting the candidates. The candidates claimed that JAMB had instructed all CBT centres to refer candidates to only their offices Nationwide. It was even reported that 9 Candidates Fainted due to the crowd, while trying to successfully effect a change in their Course/Institution. We're not sure why JAMB released this statement, since many candidates here on Guru9ja had confirmed to had successfully effected 2017 Change in Course/Institution at CBT centres. Read the statement released today, Thursday, 1st June, by The Head of Media and Information of JAMB, Dr Fabian Benjamin below; Benjamin said that reports reaching the headquarters of the board indicated that a large crowd of candidates on Wednesday besieged the board’s Lagos office. He said the development was creating unnecessary anxiety and chaos where there should be none. "This announcement became necessary following the crowd in our offices by candidates demanding for such services. "Affected candidates are urged to remain calm as we shall contact them when the time is right. "The request for correction of data is usually from candidates, who provided wrong information while filling their application document online," Benjamin said. According to him, the change of institutions is for those who are considering other preferences other than their initial choices. He noted that the candidates were misled to believe that the board had started such services and would soon close. He said that when the board opened the window for correction of data and change of course it would make the announcement. He assures all candidates desirous of carrying out the correction of data or change of institution that the board would ensure that enough time was given for them to do so. Benjamin also explained that the board had not finished with the conduct of the 2017 UTME. "The board is still conducting examinations for those who registered late and those who could not be verified during the examination. "As such, it will be unfair to them to open window for such correction and changes at the same time. "Our reforms are meant to make our services accessible to all conveniently." He also said that JAMB would decentralise the service when it eventually opened its portal for it. "We are collaborating with the University of Lagos, Yaba College of Technology and other stakeholders on this in Lagos. We will do same in other states. "This will ease the pressure on our various offices and ensure a hitch-free process." Does it means those that reported to have purportedly effected a change in course/institution have not yet been acknowledged? 7. You keep writing JAMB for the past 4-6 Years now and you didn't surpass the General JAMB cutoff which is 200, you need to sit your self down and reason on who you have offended. 8. People were congratulating you for your achievement in scoring 319 in jamb but unfortunately, Jamb watched CCTV of those that scored high and found out you were involve in Malpractice and they deducted 200 from your score. JAMB To Watch CCTV Records Video To Uncover Candidates Who Score High Mark |
6. You heard people were checking their result and you were about going to check and you receive a test message from jamb saying "100 have been deducted from you JAMB score"
|
5. You were boosting to your friends that you are expecting nothing less that 250 but you checked your result and saw this below:

This is going to be hilarious as so many UTME 2017 candidates faced one challenges or the other in their CBT Centers. Lets look at the following signs below: 1. You got to your JAMB CBT CENTER late and you were denied entrance to the examination hall. O boy, you need to look at this adage that says "Punctuality is the soul of a business". 2. You sat down in front of your system and then typed in your jamb registration number and the system keeps loading but fortunately it loaded completely and you were now seeing 35 min more. 3. When choosing answers to the question displayed on the monitor screen, your system freezes. You called for help and one of the supervisors came in to rectify the issues but couldn't do it anyway. He resorted into taking you to use another system but unfortunately when you login, You saw 3 mins more. 4. You answered all question and submitted successfully, You heard result is out and you summoned courage to check and you saw this below: ![]()

Some people wont like this new development as JAMB made a big decision to watch Circuit Camera Televisions (CCTVs) of just concluded Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination to uncover the truth behind candidates scoring high mark. e.g 378 JAMB Head of Media and Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin, in a statement on Sunday, expressed confidence that such would enable it to detect where there were actually examination malpractices. Those who know they were involved in any acts inimical to our examination ethics should not celebrate as their inglorious days of punishment will soon surface”, he said. “Again, we want to seize this opportunity to debunk messages being circulated by those who do not wish our education well that the Senate has passed a bill urging the board to add extra 40 marks to candidates. “There is no bill anywhere, not even a motion has been tabled before the two chambers of the National Assembly on the board’s 2017 UTME performance. The board wants to state for the umpteenth time that our examination is not a ‘fail pass’ examination; it is a selection examination, so, it can never be said that there is mass failure. “It will be absolutely wrong for mischief makers to begin to analyse an examination that has just been concluded without even looking at the overall result. We urge candidates to disregard all funny connotations online on their results as the board will not contemplate doing all that is being speculated as that will negate the ethics of an examination body as critical as JAMB”, he said. Benjamin hinted that the board’s major concern had always been to ensure that cheating during and after examination were reduced to zero level, and this, he said, the board had substantially achieved. In addition to ensure that the 2017 UTME met international best standards of transparency, the Registrar had constituted a taskforce with the mandate to examine the entire conduct of the examination He said the taskforce is also expected to investigate malpractice cases and recommend likely sanctions in accordance with the provisions of the Examination Malpractice Act. Furthermore “One of the likely benefits of this taskforce which has renowned scholars and management staff is to ensure that it identified challenges to be addressed so that they don’t occur subsequently. In conclusion “The board is determined to ensure equity and fairness to all candidates and will not hesitate to allow the weight of the law to deal with whoever is involved in any infraction,’’ the JAMB official added.
