Aareonakakanfo:see my response above... http://www.vanguardngr.com/2014/08/lagos-building-new-nigeria-rail-projects-lamata-boss/ |
IyaIode:You are right... the rail terminate in Okokomaiko, while the 10 lanes continue to Badagry. There is the Blue Line from Okokomaiko to Marina; the Red Line from Agbado to Marina via Iddo and Muritala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA); the Green Line from Marina to Lekki (Airport) ; the Yellow Line from Otta to Iddo and the Purple Line from Redeem to Ojo. There are also the Orange Line from Redeem to Marina and the Brown Line from Mile 12 to Marina. In this layout, there are the North-South corridor between Agbado and Iddo along the Nigerian Railway corridor; the Eastern corridor to serve the Lekki to Epe axis; and the western corridor to serve the Mile2 – Okokomaiko axis. The Blue Line, a 27 km rail road with thirteen stations from Okokomaiko to Marina is currently undergoing construction right in the middle of Lagos-Badagry Expressway which government is currently expanding and redeveloping into a ten-lane international gateway. Apart from rail, the infrastructure design also includes provision for BRT and multimode integration with Non-Motorized Transport such as pedestrian walkways and overhead bridges for safe access by passengers to rail and bus stations. Work commenced in August 2009 for construction of the Blue Line rail infrastructure, awarded to China Civil Engineering Construction Company (CCECC) as a design and build contract. CCECC prepared the detailed plan, design and construction works for the rail infrastructure. These works includes stations, roadbed, bridges, permanent way (P-way) tracks works, pedestrian ways and other associated fixed infrastructure. “The first phase is between National theatre and Mile 2; that was actually awarded in 2010 and we are hoping that by 2014 that phase will be finished and then move on from Mile 12 to Okokomaiko and then come back to National Theatre to construct the infrastructure to Marina.”

IyaIode:If you believe the post and PR threads of those working and eating from the state coffer apart from the reality, I have no objection to your opinion. Peace! |
zimoni:Honestly, the profiteering must stop. Assassinations and destruction of that Yoruba heritage party for personal and selfish interest. |
manmind:I don't understand the rationale of your question with my post and Eleyele ni Ilu Ibadan ? Please be explicit...? |
IyaIode:If we are all open to learn the issue and the discrepancy in Fashola's statement? I can open the case and link the errors for our study. |
IyaIode:Unless it was tactically changed, I am very sure it was originally planned to get to Badagry. I can call my Egun brother (Gunuvi) to confirm, but let me check my news achieve... BRB... |
IlekeHD:IlekeHD, I do have attachment to PDP having financed grassroots politicians in my constituency. But I see the truth, but our people are not honest with the truth. Lagos State is highly geared, the debt is too high compared to the claimed projects. Ema jeki a lo ila kuro le ko, eko o kola. The debt and the corresponding projects does not match. |
IyaIode:IyaIode, All this Fashola comment are political gibberish, The rail project is World Bank Assisted project, thou requires FG support. If we take our time to critically examine Fashola's many comments you will see contradiction. |
zimoni:Omo Iya, If someone promised you nothing but to boost your trade, wont you be happy? And if the person now failed in his promise, and keep shifting the goal post unnecessarily, how would you feel ? One of the many reason I hate ACN turned APC. (too much lies) ![]() We are getting closer to the truth. |
Aareonakakanfo:I don't know why is was omitted in that list, Marina to Badagry was in the original design and plan. I can check the news achieve. |
nduchucks:If you too na Yoruba, you better post your oriki, I believe Yoruba Race will soon be making cash payout for originals and not fake.... ![]() If we are ready to listen to each other, I am ready to open up reasons why I don't support the fraudulent politicians in SW claiming leaders. |
laudate:Sorry, you mean Ambode also have shifted his own delivery date ? Please what is the proposed new delivery date ? |
Aareonakakanfo:I have a lot of interest in that region where the light rail project was. (Iganmu - Badagry) You can imagine what would be the market value of properties in that region assuming Lagos State Government under Babatunde Fashola delivered to promise, instead the delivery dates was shifted severally and the space of work in worrisome, up till now, still half way, they are yet to even get to Military barracks in Ojo and houses has been demolished up to Okokomaiko. This is painful, and the road users are suffering daily on the route. |
modath:How can I lift my own oriki... funny. ![]() I represent everything that will move my race forward either home or away. However, I will never support the inhuman policies of the fraudsters claiming leaders in Yorubaland starting from the traitor BAT. |
laudate:God bless you fro bringing this up issue. The space of work and the shift in delivery dates by Fashola is one of the many reason I stay in the opposition. People living in that part of Lagos are suffering... daily and per hour while passing through that region. ![]() |
IlekeHD:Are you convinced with my submission or you need the pic of my father's tribal mark ? ![]() I hope I would be handsomely paid. ![]() |
IlekeHD: IyaIode: modath:Eyin iya wa, Ki e pe fun wa oooo ![]() Mo ju ba eyin mama rere, eniti ti o ba fi ti yin se onitohun o raye wa... zimoni:I was banned by spam bot since yesterday while responding to Modath in pure Yoruba Language. I do not need to prove to anyone my Yoruba Linage. ![]() Me supporting anyone does not make me less nor distant me from my race. I am proud to be a Full Blooded Yoruba. ![]() Now, let me take on our mothers on this thread... |

Orisirisi Fulani group don dey surface since May 29th. Thanks to the FAKE |
Gbawe:Chief Gbawe, I think we are coming closer to calling a spade a spade. Do you know what pushed me to this position? Calling some angels while some are devil and looters. ACN through Alh. Lie Mohammed made us to believe the only arms of government responsible to the masses in Nigeria is the presidency. I keep asking what about the LG Chairmen, State House of Reps., Fed. Reps, Senators and governors. The evil politics played by ACN turned APC using Lie Mohamed will not go unanswered, unless he tender unreserved apologies to Nigerians. Forget that am from the SW, I will not hesitate to support any one seen to have been victimized and demonized. (Reason, I am supporting the hero of modern democracy) If you need honest truth from me, PDP as a party is full of corrupt and extremely corrupt individuals, unfortunately all fully emptied into St. APC. (Where is now the change?) I will leave the issue of Lagos fraudulent administration and profiteering to another day. The message remains: All politicians in Nigeria irrespective of political party are fraudulent and extremely corrupt. There was a particular study on fraud which is called the 80/10/10 rules, it is explained as always, never and could; meaning, it’s certain that 10% of the people will commit fraud, the other 10% will never commit fraud while the remaining 80% could commit fraud given the sufficient pressure and the right opportunity. (APA, 2011 and Fischer, 2014) |
waooooooooooooo Buhary, Azhak Allah sinnaka. ![]() |
morikee:I am not responsible for your predicament. Sorry! |
Gaskia:Yes! |
Buhary and APC purported fight against corruption is farce. We don't believe all these cat and mouse stories.

I concur... Project Muhammadu Buhari 2015: "Again, they saw that Nigerians were 'tired' of successive PDP administrations (which they were active players), they moved base to APC and Buhari, who many saw as the incorruptible and sincere General that has zero-tolerance for anything corruption. Just like his predecessors, Buhari has technically dished what he once stood for to please those that 'Brought him to power'. Appointing same people into position of authority and moving around with these worthy allies that helped brought "PDP" down. None of his promise to Nigerians has been fulfilled even after SIX months in office. Again Nigerians are wondering whether they made mistake on March 28. Though a huge disappointment, Buhari still has the luxury of three and half years to put things right".
|
Jesusloveyou:Yes, severally sir. |
MayorofLagos:My friend, take it easy ooo. Because one of the selfish leader in SW team-up with the head of the Fulani's ? The herdsmen now have monopoly of killing, carrying unlicensed riffles and other abuse of power as you posited. (They have an advocate inside the rock)
|
tophee:Kid! Alakoogba. Won ko ee, sugbon o gba eko. |
modath:All politicians in Nigeria are rogues and looters beginning from 1999. The habit of praise-singing some over the other is what I detest. |
