MayorofLagos:
Submit a citizen complaint to Lagos State House of Assembly.

In addition you can also sue on behalf of citizens of Lagos and initiate a tribunal review in the case.

Have you done any of these?

Academic jargon.

When I read intelligent rejoinder like yours, I find it needless to comment

Though I had commented on a related, earlier thread where some mindless lads and lasses where hailing Fashola to the skies and I didnt get it!

It was then that what you just wrote dawned on me on double standards and clannish sentiments got to me

Nigeria is a joke that benefits the so-called political elites and the mega rich! This system is far from workable;

My standard of assessing governance has been in creative management leadership which has a strong vision that it "drags" it's even unwilling citizens to see and not just one that is purely administrative
God bless you sir!

You see some attacking others, calling for their heads, quick to castigate, but WILL be quick to justify same for members of their evil-cut, either because of stupidity, foolishness or bigotry.

Honestly, Nigeria has a very long way to go.

You defend your criminals, rejoice at their appointment and rain all manners of insult to another fellow criminal just because they are not in your party of interest. embarassed

MayorofLagos:
Stella Oduah was summoned for an investigation looking into mismanagement. As a Federal Minister the Senate has jurisdiction on her accountability. She was put under oath.

Fashola was a State Governor, the Nigerian Senate has no jurisdiction on his case in Lagos State. Simple!
Yes, but the citizens demands accountability and stewardship.

You are compounding the problem for fashola with your stupidity. So if fashola and the commissioner didn't sign 'cheques' (yes cheques not checks) and 70million naira left the state account, what does that say of his administration?

Half-baked graduate. You think english is just using 'big abusive words'?
Please forget about that agbero cum photo-man. He is a beneficiary of the loots.

Well i expect you to be calling Ambode or EFCC to probe the said contract. Fashola's job is finished with Lagos, he did a great job which the world can see. Politicians cannot personally evaluate every contract that comes to their table, that's why they have ministries and boards inside those ministries. That contract was approved on the recommendation of the board, if inflated (which seems to be the case), then law enforcement agencies should conduct investigation at the board level to know who recommended and why that contract was awarded at the sum. If Fashola was still governor and this case had come up, i believe he would've ordered an investigation himself and penalized offending officials, therefore Ambode should do the needful, leave Fashola out of this.

Fashola dis-associating himself with / from the process of the state? Who is giving the final approvals for the process and contracts?

Are there any competitive bidding for the contracts?

Is Fashola now saying their is institutional corruption in Lagos?

However, congrats Minister Fashola.

I wonder when we would start to ask relevant questions from our leaders about accountability and good governance, without any bias or prejudice. (Irrespective of party affiliation)

If all the roads fashola built are spoiling less than 5 months he left power, I will then assume that fashola is the biggest praised scam on earth.
The performance of Fashola administration, being one of the best in his time, is extremely hyped, overrated and filled with media propaganda.

When you compare the revenue accrued to the state vis a vis its performance, you will see huge underdevelopement.

However, let see how Ambode will manage his opportunity being an opportunist.

You are 100% correct. We don't have government presence in Badagry since independence.
Gunuvi,

You are absolutely right.

Since Nigeria returns to democracy, 1999 to date, Badagry has never seen a single Lagos state social or infrastructural development.

1999 - 2007 - Bola Ahmed Tinubu

2007 - 2015 - Babatunde Raji Fashola

2015 - huh - Akinwumi Ambode. huh

Let hope Ambode would perform and be able to touch that marginalized part of Lagos.
PoliticsRe: #discourselagos: Poor State Of Lagos State Under The Watch Governor Akinwunmi by Firefire(m): 5:38am On Oct 14, 2015
Ambode is NOT fit to be a governor, and not even for a complex city like Lagos.

This is what you get when you promote partisanship over ability and capability.

When a tin-god pushes his luck too far to lord his puppet over a cosmopolitan city like Lagos, because of the drive and huge to continue his enslavement and professional way of looting.

I admonish Ambode to stop the caricature and playboy attitude and start the real business of governance.

2019 is not too far.
