On second thought on this game, I think Hansi Flick plan was to originally gift them the first half while they exhausted themselves, we'll hit them on the counter.

Second half showed we could have easily bossed their midfield if we wanted to just like the Bayern game.

The difference was actually the werey Dutch man. Flick knew Madrid plays highline football and wanted to use long balls but they had midfielders who are practical runners and ready to shit down anything but with the intro of FDJ, we calmed things down and played different styles of football but with directness.

Flick is brilliant. I'm very sure most of us would have preferred Olmo for Fermin's sub but he went the FDJ route and that showed he knows what he's doing.
