■ Officially its 2 - days prior to your interview but, if you are in a tight corner, the truth is that its usually updated almost immediately.

After updating , wait for few hours (sometimes you can receive official email to print a new appointment letter immediately) and go back to your portal in order to print a new visa appointment. Once your new DS-160 confirmation number can reflect in your new visa appointment printout then, you are free to attend your interview.

Sorry, I thought you meant DS-160 update. Nevertheless, you still have to submit your DS-160 within the time frame because it must be aligned with your visa appointment letter as i explained above 👆

When filling ur DS-160 if u don't put the name of ur company is there any issue? Because there is no space to put the name of the company your working in, just your duties...

First Lady. Your question was not clear . Did they send the boy away ? Did they ask him to go and reschedule? If they did not ask you to reschedule he has missed the appointment. Cool down and tell us what really happened. That question was not clear i only used an idea based on NO RECORD found. 👍

NOTE:. My recommendation is for those who want to start afresh so pick your own from the answer. Every answer on Nairaland is not for one person.

Your question is like a puzzle going forth 'n back. But what i can summarise is that your MRV payment was very likely not able to be confirmed by the embassy even after you must have booked an appointment.

This happens especially if you do card payment or transfer. Some card can be successful but retracted and some transfer might not get to the embassy while the account owner is debited.

Hence my only choice of payment is physical bank deposit.

NOTE.
1. Fill another ds 160 and submit at a go, don't fill it half way
2. Pick the embassy location you have chosen in your ds 160 as your interview post.
3. Go and pay mrv physically in the bank.
4. Pay your SEVIS fee
5. Sign and date your I 20. 👍

Hello everyone.
I need you're advice. Due to how long the preapproaval stayed I missed my program start date for spring semester. Although I have deferred to fall semester, do I just go for the interview with both my old and new I-20. Or do I have to pay another MRV Fee and start the entire process again. I appreciate any guidance or advice you can offer.

For those that are still at the pre-approval stage and are resuming this January, may God see you through this stage soonest and may you have a much favourable appointment date before your resumption and ultimately, may your visas be approved.

Guys what happens if I try to reschedule. The date I saw was too close. I found a date for 20th of december 2024. Will I be able to find close dates

Brother, to be sincere with you,it cannot be influence by anybody, I just follow the suggestion been raised here ,which is sending email and attach my mrv and sevis receipt with my 1-20 and i support it prayer
