Australia has something close to a wager challenge but more exciting. There's a weekly amount allotted for food for the whole house. e.g $800. The HMs would have series of almost impossible tasks, failure of which will see the $800 keep depleting till its almost gone. After the tasks, they might end up with like $70 or $100 but they never get the full money. Of course that always leads to fights and issues especially when they feel some people cost them that loss. Food is always scarce and them dey H on a regular.

They also have a game where two people are picked by the hoh to represent the house on an also impossible task. E.g going into a room filled with thousands of keys and counting everything for 3 hours. If they manage to win (which they almost never do) the whole house will be treated to palatial meals. If they lose, punishment for the whole house. They might all be locked in a cage outside for 24/hrs.

All these people who watch foreign editions of Big Brother, do the housemates also fight over food?

The only editions I’ve seen were BBUK which consisted of boring kumbaya sessions during the eight p.m. viewing. It was by ten p.m. you’d see housemates get into the jacuzzi naked, kiss and run around the house drunk then ‘play’ under duvets. It was overall boring and not followable because there was nothing significant during the daily show while the uncut had too many racy moments. I never got to see character interactions nor significant personalities stand out from the hive.

BBUS was scripted to the max. Ten minutes into a daily show episode, I swore not to check it again. It was no different from watching The Biggest Loser, The Kardashians or American Idol. SMH.

Naija internet no gree me watch BBCAN, though it looked identical to the US offering.

BBSA/Mzansi is more like it since any variation our continent creates follows the original example set from Big Brother South Africa.

There is nothing like weekly wager for food, although they still fight over food but its not this amplified.....

To be honest it's Chomzy leading the separation charge with others jumping on it, the genesis is Chomzy thinking that Phyna cooked for Level 2 alone which was a wrong assumption.

Plus the cooks were really upset about what Sheggz said to Chizzy today and it brought up the food fight that had happened earlier, then they said they won't cook for the house.....

However, there is a house rule that if you are cooking from the general food you should cook for everyone and not just some select few but Chomzy disregarded that rule to cook for some select few, other seeing that they decided they will toll Chomzy's line and continue with the division......
