[s]It is really absurd because Ogun state is more indudtrialised than the whole SE and only one indigenous company i.e GLO swallows all the mushroom companies in Anambra states. You are just eating sugar for happiness comparing your backward Anambra which IGR is not even up to Ebonyi or Borno's IGR to Ogun state. Can't you see from your newsclip that Anambra is in the league of Yobe state?[/s]

99% of industries and markets are owned by Igbos, unlike Ogun where foreigners and other tribes owns majority of the companies, Anambrians are in full control of their economy, state government doesn't tax them much unlike Ogun and Lagos, majority of the company come to Ogun because of proximity to no man's land, Ogun has no international market unlike Anambra that boast of 28 international markets with with large numbers of indigenous cottage industries, More than 97% of the industries in Ogun are owned by foreigners and other tribes

http://www.channelstv.com/2016/09/20/recession-obiano-suspends-minor-taxes-anambra/

Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano, has suspended payment of numerous minor taxes in the state, announcing that the directive will take immediate effect.

Gov Obiano said the state government had come up with a “four-intervention stimulus package”, to ease the pain of recession and its impact on the people in the grassroots majorly.

Governor Obiano identified the first part of the four key areas of intervention as the “Tax Relief Programme” in which various minor taxes would be suspended.

The second is the “Special Intervention Programmes for Small and Medium Enterprises and Large Enterprises” where the state government, under the Anambra Small Business Agency (ASBA), would provide the agency with a minimum of three billion Naira to lend to SMEs and MSMEs at nine per cent interest rates across key sectors.[/b]

RUN AND ACT LIKE YOU DIDNT SEE IT COUPLED WITH YOUR PATHETIC PICTURE POSTING....It shameful you are citing articles from 2003 and 2013 what happened to 2015,2016?? grin grin How ridiculous can you be[/s]
My friend there is nothing to answer, HIGH IGR means more money on government coffers, fabricated by governors no monitored, this is real figures of cash in citizens hands and was clearly stated by NBS that bank credit/deposit in each state may be used as an indicator of the level of activity and well being of operators (households and businesses) in a particular state as it shows what residents are borrowing and the amount deposit in banks

And Anambra doubled Ogun state, when state government are making money without utilizing funds properly, can't pay full salaries to workers, indebted your state, abounded projects littered your state what do you want us to discuss huh State declared bankrupt what did you want us to discuss huh I can't fall for west media propaganda, until what your guys are pushing out online start reflecting on ground for now you are brownee clown tongue tongue

[s]OGUN STATE HAS MORE INDUSTRIES THAN ANY EASTERN STATE... Ogun was 4th on IGR after Lagos, Rivers and delta in 2015 so its no surprise they are 3rd now... Do you even know the number of companies ready to invest in ogun state due to its proximity to Lagos and reduced tax rate compared to Lagos?? Anambra kini?? Where e dey come from?? How many foreign or local investors will consider Anambra before Ogun?? Do you even have the population to support the market?? Check cities in Nigeria and their population yiboe cities is one good example of a "tragic comedy" Then check for south west... I guess you dont know what it entails to cite an industry....And who the hell goes snapping pix of every where keeping it on their phone... That's inferiority complex.. Not a single pix of lagos on my phone..grow up man[/s]

ANAMBRA STATE, The Economic Heartbeat of Nigeria - Prof Yemi Osibanjo

In the just concluded Project Tour and the Anambra State Town Hall Meeting with the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Prof Yemi Osibanjo and the Minister for Women Affairs and Social Development, Sen. Aisha Al Hassan as well as the Minister for Employment and Productivity, Sen. Dr Chris Nwabueze Ngige; members of the National Assembly and host of members of the presidential working team, the Vice President described Anambra as the most productive state in Nigeria in terms of indigenous industries and commerce.

He noted that the visit marks his second since the inception of their administration and his first project tour in the state. He disclosed that the tour was necessitated by Governor Willie Obiano's appeal for the federal government's visits cum inspection as well as finding palliatives for the challenges facing investors in the current economic situation in the nation; Prof Yemi Osibanjo further extolled Governor Willie Obiano's exemplary leadership in the state especially for his efforts towards ameliorating the sufferings of the poor masses in the unfortunate era of economic tribulations assuring the people that conservative efforts are already being put in place to wrestle the ugly situation.

He enumerated the various opportunities the federal government has mapped out for women, youths and the impaired urging the people to queue in to harness these golden opportunities.

"whenever we hear about Anambra State, it is always the best of news... It'll always be news about people who are serious and determined, and who are diligent in whatever they do"

"I hope to be back... I've seen the great things that are happening here, I've seen the flyovers that the governor has built. I really congratulate him and thank him for great work that he is doing, and for a very good partnership that he has been offering us... I'll be back very soon" - VP Osibanjo

The Vice President who first toured the various cities in the state visiting the various factories in Onitsha and Nnewi expressed satisfaction with the level of development and opportunities being generated in the state showing optimism that the Willie Obiano's blueprint be exported to other parts of the country as he humorously added "I have given your alert governor my phone number so that I can also get alerts and enjoy the good things you people enjoy in Anambra"

[s]That is more like it.USA happens to be more indebted than almost all African countries joined together but still more buoyant economically, but that stat is even 2 years ago and the FG is owing Ogun state up to 200 billion naira.
Ogun state would surely buy up Anambra state 10 times.[/s]
My friend stop deceiving your people stop comparing advance nation that manage funds well with your backward state, FG is also owing Anambra state, there is poverty in your land, people are committing suicide in numbers

comparing Ogun and Anambra is absorbed, Anambra economy is 98% indigenous unlike Ogun, 90% of industries in Ogun are owned by non Yorubas, this is facts.
